It went beyond free speech. Politics aside the professors failed their jobs as teachers. They were extremely inefficient with class time, lied/went back on their word regarding grades, singled out students (me) and led the entire class in attacks against them (me). I paid money to learn, not hear the professor literally advocate violence to achieve political goals.

If he just said something unpopular and he has tenure (i.e., job protection to maintain intellectual independence), then it's fine.
