What we need to end above all else is this ridiculous degree inflation; 99.9% of today's jobs do not require full-time study and certainly not for 3/5 years. Everything could be learnt much more efficiently on the job or in corporate sponsored crash courses.

Yet because of the muh education meme, governments all around the world have been pushing for mass access to universities and as a result, companies require bachelor's or master's not for their training value but for selection purposes: like, they will assume that the guy with a master's has at least a three-digit IQ.

I graduated with my CS degree, and all manner of math and coding I learned from free books, khan academy, random pajeets on youtube, etc.
There's a plethora of free lectures from people more eloquent than most professors you'll actually have at university. Easier to follow and will actually help you retain the information, rather than just regurgitate what you need to pass an exam.

The system is already in place, why not extend it to undergrad as well?

Literally not my problem. Actually the only reason universities put up with humanities is because they pay the same tuition as the STEM courses but require significantly less budget. No microscopes in a woman's studies course.

But this won't be a choice made by the universities as they aren't the ones giving out the money. It will only take one default on student loan debt and a market crash associated with it to see this happen.

Banks should be required to see what program you'll be studying as well as your transcript to prove you're not a retard. If they have good grades and the degree can net a job that could afford to pay the loan then they get confirmed. If the degree is too expensive for them to afford, they either get denied or have assistance on finding a cheaper program.
