HAPPENING Brazil to become monarchy again

Some time ago Brazilians enough brazilians supported a proposal to have a referendum on wether to become an empire again, and thus this became the proposed legislation SUG 18/2017 and the Senate will have to discuss it.

Do you think Brazil will become an empire again, pol?

This is the proposal:
>"Brazilian presidentialism is corrupt and corrupting. Implementing the monarchy will remove the partisan bias from State decisions, guaranteeing it's isonomy, while at the same time the government's functions would remain with representatives elected by the people, with a smaller cost to the public treasury"
More Details
>"It would be the emperor's role to nominate and fire the fire-minister, to dissolve the Congress to call new elections, to be the Supreme Head of the Armed Forces, to appoint ministers to the Federal Supreme Court and to call plebiscites and referendums. The administrative and government's functions would belong to the Prime Minsiter and his Cabinet. The legislative and the Judiciary would keep their current roles"

Right now it's in the Human Rights and Participatory Legislation Committee, and the Committee's President has 2 days to appoint a rapporteur, who needs to write a report on whether the proposal should be approved or not. If it passes (it should cause there is nothing unconstitutional in this proposal, but CDH is mostly cancerous leftists), it then goes to the Constitution and Justice Committee (CCJ), and, if approved, will be voted in the Senate floor (they might make it go through some non-permanent committee too, like the one on political reform), and then on to the Chamber of Deputies.

Kan i beez kang?

Sadly it won't happen, confrade.

We wuz kangz though. And got you brits BTFO in a diplomatical crisis involving some ships.

During Pedro II rule Brazil was somewhat respectable (I mean, considering it's Brazil we are talking about).

the eternal britcuck strikes again.

you are the scourge of the earth, stay off BR thread pls.

-REMINDER THAT ANGLOS CAUSED FAVELA PROBLEMS AND NIGGERS ALL OVER THE WORLD-

Nope, we have a royal family already, the Orléans-Bragança

I really wanna see the sjw cucks and commies discussing it in their snowflake committee, and all the attention this will get from click-baity media and shit.

They might just throw it away because they forgot to cross a t or something

This was meant to u

shit I forgot about confraria. didn't check caravelas for a good while

Don't you have TWO pretenders?

How you going to sort that out?

One is not a pretender. Some people pretend for him (small, small minority) but he said he's a republican and his ancestors resigned the throne (a few cucks argue this is illegal and thus he is kang anyway).

There isnt even a debate tho. Its not like the shitshow in France

That's a minor problem.
Frankly I think that for us to return to a parliamentary monarchy at this point is almost impossible.

instead of a banana republic it's going to be a banana empire. quite the improvement

To be kang you only need to name one. It's not a great achievement. Nigs had kangs too, for example Mansa Munsa.

We miss you user.

Good ol' war will do the trick

>We become a monarchy again
>War of succession in the day after

Brazil is too far gone user. If it wants to rise to a monarchy again it'll first need to be burned to the ground so the degeneracy can be purged

That was not a proper king. Ours is from a proper european dynasty and even Habsburg ancestry. Hundreds of years thrown away by republicucks who later said it was a mistake (literally)

geee user. what are you saying all the sudden

>Richest man in the history of mankind
>Not a proper kang

Jesus... I hope so, i have lost faith in our country, the only thing i look forward here is seeing more corrupt politicians getting jailed, and Bolsonaro getting elected next year (I don't even like him, but i crave to see and hear the braindead left crying all day all night)

so wait... hol up... hol up.. u wuz saying... Brazilians.....

More info:
Brazil was an Empire from 1822 to 1889 (constitutional after 1824 and parliamentary after 1847). It had two emperors Pedro I of Brazil (aka Pedro IV of Portugal) and Pedro II of Brazil.

The current proposal changes some stuff to how it was back then (nominating judges for ex), adds some powers (referendums and plebiscites) and changes some other stuff (more powers to the PM, less executive powers to the monarch and not going back to a unitary state, keeping federalism).

Unlike most normal countries, it had 4 powers: legislative, judiciary, executive and moderating, based on the ideas of Benjamin Constant.

The political opinions and institutions back then were largely inspired by the British Monarchy and the French July Monarchy

there can't be mass purging of millions of people without getting global attention from leftist human waste, user.

whatever planes for the future, we gotta make do without short therm culling.

I hope you all succeed.

Their first series redpilled people on cultural Marxism and shit, and the next one will be on our hidden history

Kek they're an agnatic descendent of Hugues Capet, the Habsburgs mortal enemies. Kind of weird you emphasized that.

let's manufacture a nuclear bomb, send it to Brasilia and say it was for ISIS, global war against the goatfuckers and the chance to reconstruct the country

>oh wait we're brazillians making a nuclear bomb is as hard as socialism working

SOON

>Senate will have to discuss it
why are you calling this a happening? this is nothing

is it redpilled?

Bananas have potassium I'm sure if you get enough of them in one room you could give someone cancer.

yeah, nuclear bombs are overated anyway. we need to cover big areas.

[we could always call politicians to RJ and throw a stone at angra III for a nuclear blast]

It was illegal for anyone to discuss it for more than 100 years, and now, for the first time in ages, they'll have to discuss it in the senate, and more and more people are talking about it and learning about it. When we had a vote in 1993 they held it in a republican holiday, no one properly defended the position and people were so ignorant about it that they thought slavery would come back if monarchy won.

The window is shifting fast

What does it say? Is there an English version, I don't speak hue

If you mean le ebil joos, no, but it exposed commies from Marx to Gramsci to agitators like Alinsky, how the NGOs psid by Soros and the Rockefellers shill for leftwing bs which destroys civilization, talked about the Frankfurt school, etc

i support this! everyone deserves to be kang

And with no pussyhats, hopefully

>support nigga empire
No
Actually sure, black nation has never tried us Iberians and our sons.

This is so fucking dumb.

K, I'll translate

>Shitty monarchy
>Let's end the empire and create a republic!!!
>It will fix our problems

>Shitty republic
>Let's end the republic and go back to a monarchy!!!
>It will fix our problems

The problem of Brazil are the brazilians.

>nuclear bombs are overated anyway
Nuclear weapons are the difference between being feared and not being feared. A non-nuclear nation cannot win an offensive invasion war against a nuclear nation.

I really fucking hope this happens.
Is it realistic?
When even was the last time a monarchy got restored?
godspeed Brazil.

well redpill means taking the harsh truth. not necessarily naming the jews, but honesly most redpills that avoid naming the jew are fucking pussified for political correctness anyway

Probably Spain in 1978

Then the title: Brazil, the last crusade, which is probably a reference to the fact that the country was created by the Order of Christ, direct descendants of the Knights Templar in Portugal (and from other countries), and the discovery and colonization of the americas by Portugal (spain too but who cares about them in this context?) was seen, and is being rediscovered by historians, as a direct continuation of the crusader spirit of militant catholicism [the people there are all redpilled on Islam btw] that lasted from the crusades until after the reconquista.

I love monarchies.
First Brazil hopefully, then finally Russia gets a Tsar.

>my country is corrupt, both its leadership and the parliament are in the hands of megacorps who only take care of themselves
>therefore I shall make one of them king

loool

But the decision to go for a republic wasn't a popular decision

First it was communism, now you're going with monarchy?

They tried to do it before. 86.6% said no. It won't happen. The british monarchy is useless and contributes nothing to the country.

And this was after another impeachment (we had just got away from a dictatorship and our first president ellect by the popular vote was impeached. The plebiscite happened during the whole process and still lost.

Oh papa, what happened to you.

>therefore I shall make one of them king
No, portuguese education, that's not what it's being proposed at all.

This. A literal cuckold got together with republicans, who never ever had electoral success (not even 5% of the votes) and fucked up the country for good. Even federalism, the only good thing they did, was gonna be introduced in 1889 with a new bill letting provinces make legislation and increasing their powers.
But we don't learn shit about our history, especially the most important period in the XIXth century, just marxist revisionism (literally the name of this historiographic school) and muh poor politicians persecuted by le ebil military. 200 years of history and we don't learn shit.
To burguers, imagine if your schools brushed over the founding fathers, the war of independence, lied through it's teeth about the early republic and focused it's classes on the period from FDR to Obama, that's what we have here, no knowledge of history and perpetual institutional revolution.

the fact we manage to make impeachments happen is already a fucking good sign won't you say?

same as a military coup. WE MAKE SHIT HAPPEN.

americucks, anglocucks, french etc etc etc, they are bystanders of their politics, we at least are constantly using every play on the book.

>The british monarchy is useless and contributes nothing to the country
It does, they lease fuck loads of land to the Government for well below market value, and allow the Govt to use it. And they're a diplomatic powerhouse and serve as advisers to our PMs

Anyway, what are the chances of this happening, and what powers, if any, would the monarch hold?

We are fixing things. We will impeach every single president ever until we get a single one that isn't a corrupt fuck.

They're right, the presidential system leads to conflicts of interest and other clusterfucks.
The answer is parliamentarism and a division of foreign policy from domestic policy. Do you not have a "home secretary" post in the Brazilian system?

I've read this whole thread and I still don't get it. Why is an emperor going to make everything better? You have a corrupt society. That's why you have corrupt leaders. Changing their title won't change the fact that every Brazilian in a position of power will try to loot the country.

You make shit happen, and then find out you only made things worse than before.

>they lease lands
A land that belongs to a monarch isn't legitimate because it was taken by force instead of bought, thus violating the NAP. Correct thing would be remove monarchs and take their lands back for the state so your government spends zero pounds on its rent.

First was monarchy, then positivism, then more oligarchic positivism, then quasi-fascist labor unionist bit state bs, then pure populism, then more nationalist and technocratic positivism, then just pure oligarchy + social democracy + populist "21st century" "democratic socialism", all three in 20 years of a "social-democratic consensus".

During the monarchy we had 60 years of stability, the most stable period we ever had, a single currency, a single constitution, no coups, and after around the 40s constitutional monarchy similar to Britain's back then (we had a larger % of people who could vote than they did) and with a more-or-less stable party system. Then with the republic we had at least 6 coups, 10 currency changes, 6 constitutions and constant fucking crisis, with several party systems that ended up with almost 30 parties in congress, over half of which represent absolutely nothing

>Contributes nothing.
Tourism, diplomatic relations, national symbol, cultural icon and centre piece. Aswell as others, like an objective force kind of within politics that people can turn towards too. Even if they were just there for show the tourism money alone makes them good. For a lot of countries I would say shouldnt have them like the US for example wouldnt make sense, not so sure about Brazil but an Empire being around would be cool af. If every country was a republic (the road we`re on) etc. then imagine how fucking bland that would be, completely forgetting our roots.

Nós é reis and shit...

It sure would be nice to see Brazil go Deus Vult

The Rothschild patriarch is the richest man to ever live.

That nigger had gold, these kikes own the Fed reserves of the world

Right by conquering or by blood (ancestors).
Theyre the legitimate ways of ownership. We`ve already established this as humans.
And yeah then the government gets less money from no tourists and the money they bring.

they had less than 5 years to spread the message, a very short campaign and the people had no historical awareness of our monarchist past.

This is all changing, and the project is to help get the idea out there and shift the window, which is already shifting with books by monarchist authors becoming best-sellers, monarchist congressmen and more pundits and shit supporting monarchy
true, people are waking up

we had one until 1990

>become an empire again
top bantzkek, joãoa, keep us posted

>I voted Yes

By, the way, fid the last Sup Forums voting worked in this site? About rape allegations or something?

You would still need to purge corrupt leaders though.

I remember this rape allegation one... I voted yes but i didn't see any news from it, I don't even know if it got the majority approval

The royal family will take care of that I guess. Executions?

I guess that makes sense.

Good old beheading to make an example.

Perfect!

He's not elected, we already know who it is and his character, + he has no power to steal anything or even act corruptly, and is not in his personal interest to do so (he has everything he needs, his children depend on his throne, he'll never leave power, etc) and this is the whole purpose of having a monarchy too, see Hoppe's book Democracy the God that Failed, or the example of Liechtenstein (Hans Adam is a friend of our royal family), or Erik von Kuehnelt-Leddihn's works

It's still in the committee www25.senado.leg.br/web/atividade/materias/-/materia/128460, and the rapporteur is a politician who happens to be a socialist and a feminist, so I think it might get the axe.

It's the idea of putting a dude who is basically portugese on the throne, who was trained his whole life to rule a country, and realizes that if he fucks up his whole family will get guillotined

I am mostly glad of getting the royal authority on a slippery slope.

right now they are nothing, and that was not the plan when Don Pedro declared this place separate from Portugal [which is a minuscule country Brasil was supposed to replace]

Just voted yes, son.

People vote for them, we'll have one election next year. This change would at least give us more flexibility to get rid of shitty governments like the brits have, and a way to work around politicians, with the king, to have referendums that increase our power against the government's. Imagine if you could just have the emperor call a referendum on term limits or a balanced budget if so requested by a high enough number of people, without needing to convince the politicians to do that which they'd never do, for ex, within the bounds of law. See the thread I posted on yuki.la for more examples. The king is a conservative catholic too, so the power he could abuse the most (appointing judges, usually based on a list made by lower-level judges and lawyers) would be riggint the Supreme Court to block lib bullshit, which is better than what we have today, with corrupt and progressive judges.

You can see it as a further division of power and a new check to balance shit out. In the XIXth century the king was even acclaimed, so parliaments around the country approved him b4 he turned into emperor (only happened once tho), today we could change this to acclamation by the people.

The guys who would become emperors are pretty serious, honest and respects freedom 2. They're familiar with the founding fathers, the classics, proper governance through history, etc, while our political class are retards or marxists. Imagine having a monarchist and catholic Thomas Jefferson, and if he dies and the next one is shitty we can jut not vote for him to become the next emperor

...

Interesting.

Hope it works out for you all

Brazilian Empire and US team up to conquer NA and SA?

>you can vote for him [the heir] not to become emperor

I've found the issue!

It was unavoidable. They wanted to take our equal status away, and we had more land and, with time, more people.

If the United Kingdom still existed they'd be like the 5th largest state and bossed around by people far away, effectively becoming our colony
in this case, his son, not him, who would be dead.
It's in his best interest to work for the people (the constitution of 1824 made the emperor the representative and embodiment of the nation) than to try to pull shit up, or power-hungry republicucks can bring him down, or the people can fuck his entire family forever
