Never believed in it cause I'm smarter than all of you cucks

I still think it is happening but that we should let it happen because it would be good.

I didn't ever really believe in it, and always felt that if it was real it could only be fixed by advanced tech of future generations so it's not our problem.

Our responsibility is to just not totally fuck shit up. Earth has lost SO MUCH green biomass over the last 50 years though.

Trees fix pollution AND they cool the air.

I could get behind a massive tree-planting effort all across the flat earth, but the left quietly got away from hugging trees.

Wanna yiff?

Global warming is real. Only people who deny are the edgy pretentious Americans here. While others who deny are uneducated.

I never believed in it I just wasn't sure it was a hoax. I used to argue against these cultists because their arguments were all shit even without knowing we are at the end of an ice age.

Maybe in the early 2000's. Then it became obvious that it was a fucking scam on a global scale to hurt the US.

Used to be a libcuck so yes, even liked Neil Degrasse Tyson and Bill Nye at one point. Still think it's real but carbon dioxide and human involvement in it is overstated, and besides there are a lot of good consequences of warming. If anything it's mostly natural and a new ice age caused by the sun's polar cycle is coming soon anyway and will stay that way for 50 years at least, and by then we'll have solved the problem with market processes instead of stifling industry (which obviously just causes jobs to be shipped to China).

Polluting the shit out of your home is retarded.
I do not condone that shit.
Did humans have some influence? I don't know, I'm not a fucking scientist, and I'm not about to act like one.

Who else here use to believe but no longer believe in not shitting where you eat?

As real as that warm steaming poo you call a country.

Said the guy who poop on the floor and take baths on a river with corpses

The earth will always heat up and cool down. Earth don't realize that we're here, yes we have to take care of our rivers, the air, nature and animals, but saying that we're the cause of something that happen at least for a billion of years, we'll my floorpooper friend, that's bloody stupid

Stop debating global warming without mentioning Carbon Credits.
Carbon Credits are the scam behind the whole thing.
It is cheaper for a corporation to purchase CC than to actually upgrade and produce less pollution and CO2.

Natural global warming is real and has been happening for millions of years.

Honestly reconsidered about a year ago after listening to Randal Carlson speak on climate cycles, guy brought a lot of compelling evidence to the table. Anyone wondering should check him out, just to see.

>Stop debating global warming without mentioning Carbon Credits
>implying that a taxation system that wouldn't actually solve the problem means you should ignore the actual problem

>I don't have anything intelligent to say, let's make a poo joke.

Well you obviously can see the Changing patterns in temperatures and melting glaciers. Rising sea levels as well.

But you deny human contribution because a stupid imageboard has dumbed you up.

Try studying scientific papers and research studies, and don't reply me unless you read.

Who said to ignore it? Adapting to change should be top priority, with a close secondary being cheap energy that doesn't come at the cost ping assloads of shit into the air. Letting a company buy their way out of doing anything isn't helping leaf, why would being against it automatically mean you hate nature and want to fuck it up like a Captain Planet villain?

Link the papers you've read on the subject, clearly you're well read on it so should have no trouble posting sources that don't rely on specific ideologically-aligned groups to support them.
Lemme see what you got, maybe you're right. Or maybe you just think you are.

In High School I was a good goy ecologist, but I started getting disillusioned with the quasi-religious left-wing attitude that my teachers took with everything. Final straw was in a biology class. We were studying embryos and the teacher was IIRC talking about fertilization in vitro where an egg would be allowed to grow for a while then allowed to die. I asked some question and mentioned the ethics of growing embryos in passing (I was neutral on abortion leaning to pro choice at the time) and got told off. "Why would you even question that?" "It's just a clump of cells" etc. Pissed me off so much that I went looking for anti-AGW data and made a presentation on false global warming claims.

I still believe it's happening but if it's as bad as the (((consensus))) says, there's nothing we can do about it. We should go for green energy but not be so sentimental and cucked about it.
So much of environmentalism is anti-white "climate racism" bullshit like the Paris Accord.

>I'm only read must read more than you.
>t. street shitter

Global warming is real, but it isn't man made, and it's not going to cause humans to go extinct or whatever libtards think. Global warming and cooling is a natural cycle and it has nothing to do with greenhouse gases, it's milankovitch cycles n sheeeit

From what ive read about it its real but there is no consensus how immediate and critical the problem is. I also cant take environmentalists seriously unless they also support nuclear energy

I am skeptical but undecided. I think it is telling that proponents of it haven't really personally sacrificed dick for their own beliefs yet want to force you to.

I went through papers but don't have them with me now. They're paid and can be accessed through membership which can only be accessed by college e-library for me.
You should find it some helpful ones. Don't be get fooled by people here

I believe in it (to an extent) but don't think it matters. Humans work best when we have a challenge to overcome so we'll be fine, especially in proper countries. All others had their chance to improve and they chose not to.

Other life on the planet has been through FAR worse than anything we could manage and infact some species will prefer the new climate just as some have learned to thrive off our wasteful tendencies. Evolution will continue.

Like it or not, humans change their surroundings. It's our natural instinct and therefore you could describe our actions as a force of nature.

Yeah India is not 1 person.
How about we start it from here dumb leaf.

Shill Nye and that black celeb scientist should take your advice!

lmao out of all of my college profs (engineering) only one of them spoke one time about climate change and that was to say that people are usually split 50/50 on climate change and there generally isn't a way to change their views and there certainly isn't a way to teach it

>I could get behind a massive tree-planting effort
I unironically advocate this

What part of it do you not believe in? Do you not believe that the Earth is getting warmer? Do you not believe that Carbon Dioxide is a heat-trapping gas? Do you not believe that increased temperatures will melt the ice caps?

>it could only be fixed by advanced tech of future generations so it's not our problem

That sounds like pretty lazy reasoning, someone has to start somewhere, no?

I've never ever believed it, never, even when I was a kid and they called it 'the green house effect' and talked about a hole in the ozone layer and Al Gore used to claim the ice caps would be gone by 2005 I knew it was bollocks.

>India is not 1 person.

India doesn't have any people, just subhuman shit apes

I believed it until I was halfway through high school. Then I actually got around to reading the climate studies and particularly their temperature data, which is where I started seeing evidence of fraud.

I thought it was odd that these studies simply treated as givens the notions that CO2 was the agent of change and that it was nearly all manmade. I also noticed that the temperature data from newer studies didn't match corresponding data from older studies despite covering the same places and times. Institutions like NOAA had apparently changed earlier 20th century temperature data to make the past look colder than it really was.

Since then, every Climategate-like scandal and instance of censorship on the part of alarmists has served only to confirm my belief that this is the greatest science hoax in human history.

how did the earth pull out of the ice age? globe warmed up after being cold. it's probably still on a fuck long cycle you assclown and still melting the ice. who's to say the earth even needs the fucking icecaps? they will probably melt completely, some polar bears and penguins will drown, dumb motherfuckers who built houses near the beach will lose them, and then some time in the distant future it will all freeze again and repeat to infinity.

This.
The earth goes through repeating cycles of warming and cooling, and some evidence shows that overall the planet is actually cooler now than it was before humans existed.

Still better and hard-working people than modern America with clown-ass dumb president.

>who's to say the earth even needs the fucking icecaps?
Yea you heard how river get waters.

>some polar bears and penguins will drown,
Too dumb to search the word ecological balance.

>Dumb motherfuckers who built houses near the beach will lose them.
The person could be you as well, but alas , i see you don't have a regard of human life.

I'm feeling sad that these guys here are from 1st world country and still stupid as an idiot.

I believed it after seeing al gore movies and alike.
But so many people jumped on the bandwagon after they realized renewable energy and a 180° change in energy production is a new rising market of trillion $ proportions.
These lobbyists and special interests started wanting it to happen for their own personal benefit. The narrative was fitting their goals, and the result was the perverted, corrupt and scandalous paris accord.
This treaty was not gonna change jackshit in terms of actual global warming. It was solely gonna enrich the heavy weighing trillion $ special interests putting their capital into the changing energy industry.
Trump was seeing through the foul play of the top 0.01% and showing them the door.
Right now people smear him with dirt, and he gladly takes that for his people. But one thing is for sure, history will remember this man for what he is. And nobody will remember the names of the useless do nothing journalists that are falsely reporting on this great man, that i can tell you.
America has my deepest, sincere respect for electing this man as their commander in chief.

>Yea you heard how river get waters.
funny i thought it was from rain. are you saying that my local river is fueled by the pole ice?

Every river has a mountain source, you idiot.

what does that have to do with polar icecaps? so what if the rain doesn't freeze on top of the mountain, it will still run down the fucking mountain, just more often instead of only when it melts.

>flat earth

Woke as fuck

Wrong. People whose views have changed are more credible. Shows that they've actually thought about it.

>yfw you realized that global warming is just the way Jews get the masses used to scrounging for resources under a shitty socialist system

Captain planet meme'd it in to me as a kid but when the oceans didn't flood new York and oil wasn't gone by 2000 I realized how Fucking dumb it was

*raises hoof*
/)

I'm nuetral on whether it exists or not

All I know is that the medias been selling us garbage predictions to push a political agenda.
news.bbc.co.uk/2/hi/science/nature/7139797.stm

In the '80s they were preaching that the climate was going to get colder while at the same time the earth was supposed to become a desert.

Says one of the countries who would profit greatly on the Paris accord while not having to commit any form of progress in terms of environmental friendliness. Go poo in street hijar

Global warming is caused more by cow's feces than cars.

Yup, I remember that. We were heading towards an ice age due to all the particulates and smoke in the atmosphere.

Then sometime around 2000 or so, it was Global Warming and the cult of Goremons sprung up.

i believe. i just don't care about the world anymore. and I don't wanna be taxed in any way.

...

>believe in
>global warming
Oh look, a burger.

...

fag

carbon Dioxide is what plants breath and need to thrive, the planet goes through natural changes, the Jurassic period had the highest amount of CO2 recorded by studying fossils, and the Ice age had the least, both had nothing to do with man made CO2

I believe that we are affecting the climate, but to what extent I do not know. Science doesn't even know. Which is why climate change has become such a stupid partisan politics issue.

We're such a tiny little spot on Earth's timeline. The planet works on scales bigger than we can comprehend which is why climate science is so difficult. And it's why to adapt it for politics, the left has to lie and make up numbers to fear monger.

Is a couple of degrees gonna melt some shit? Obviously. But Earth has been much hotter and much cooler before. If we ever fuck up too bad Earth will just cleanse itself of us humans.

So in the end, who really fucking cares.

>Who else here used to believe in but no longer believe in global warming?
In order NOT to believe in global warming you'd have to simultaneously believe that every scientist on the face of the earth was involved in some huge conspiracy, all colluding together to present false evidence, likewise every science student would have to be indoctrinated at university into also becoming part of the conspiracy in order that they themselves continue to promote it themselves, this shows an astonishing lack of capacity to comprehend 'theory of mind', a shortcoming of autism, ergo, conspiracy theorists think the way they do because their brains don't function properly, you sir are a fucking retard, along with about 90% of this echo chamber of stupidity known as pol.

i don't believe in man-made global climate change but do believe in environmental landscape change cause i can fucken see it, all the rubbish and smog. scientist have confirmed history of biased reports from donors/big companies.

This guy has read literally nothing else in the thread.

"Every scientist". Ha. The "consensus" was one of the first lies to be debunked on this issue.

>the planet went through climate change during a time during which there were no humans, therefor humans cannot affect climate change

Literally a non-argument

>carbon dioxide is what plants breath and need to thrive

Google "Deforestation" and "Coral Reef Loss"

Your point being?

I still don't know if I do or don't. Some have credibility with the earth getting warmer but at the same time these are the same fuckers that told me we'd be out of water by 2012.

Most here care about science, not the paid opinions of men in suits. And the science says you are retarded every time. Not to mention nowhere near that many scientists agree with global warming. Another fake statistic.

Also, I guess every historian is in on the Holocaust lie right? No way they could fake something that huge right? You are the most pathetic brainlet poster I have ever seen on this forum. Congrats for being that fucking retarded.

>one of the first lies to be debunked on this issue.
Nothing has been debunked, no genuine peer reviewed scientist is a climate change denier, only one or two highly paid shills with unrelated phds who will say literally anything for a handful of $$$.

Oh god, why do I even bother trying to argue with idiots on here, you can lead a horse to water........

Climate change (Globull warming) was never anything but a shiny object; a pastime, a place to occupy people's attention. Something trendy at first (Earth Day) transformed into a cash cow.

earthday.org/about/the-history-of-earth-day/

In spite of (or as a result of?) all this "environmental protection" BS, the world is 1000 times dirtier than it was 35 years ago. If none of that had ever happened? Well, we'll never know, will we?

Problem>Reaction>Solution
Who benefits?

>dumb motherfuckers on the coast will drown
>LA, New York, Boston, Seattle, literally all of Florida, Hong Kong, Singapore, Venice, Bangkok, Sydney, Honolulu, Oslo, Helsinki, Dublin, Tokyo, Copenhagen, Barcelona and hundreds of others are in danger of flooding
>lol this is fine, just dumbasses on the coast tho. It's not like a majority of the world economy is on the coast.

Fucking retarded.

>oil wasn't gone by 2000
Are you implying oil is an infinite resource? Do you not know why we started fracking?

I've always believe in global temperature changes. I just don't buy into their narrative about it.

not my fault they built on the edge of the fucking ocean. that's ok humanity can stand to lose a few billion retards and still be fine, probably better off actually

>the world is 1000 times dirtier than it was 35 years ago.
[citation needed]
Boomers are a plague, they need to be lined up and shot.

Are you fucking retarded? Let me slow it WAY down, see if you can understand
EVERY SINGLE major city has access to a large body of water. This is because shipping is important. If all of those cities I mentioned were removed from the map tonight, the world would fall into chaos.

I laughed out loud when I realized that politics are taking the CO2 hoax for real.
At the same moment I was redpilled about how democracy is doomed to fail.

So you agree the global temperature has been rising ever since the industrial age. You also must agree that if the polar ice caps were to melt, the results would be catastrophic? What part of the narrative aren't you getting?

Global warming is a typical career politician's cause: you can bang on your chest, act all worked up, organize campaigns against it and you'll never meet any opposition. Nobody wants global warming so no one will speak up against you, you gain visibility without the risk of alienating anyone (sans oil companies but companies don't vote so that's a problem you can afford to worry about later).

It's the same with other, non-controversial topics like pedophilia, smoking, or driving safety.
The drawback is that if another political takes up the same cause, you constantly have to one-up each other. This is how smokers turned into horned devils from initially being seen as a minor inconvenience et most, this is why mothers think there's a rape van cruising around every playground.

And of course they also useful as a way to divert attention from actual, urgent problems.

I have no idea about the science of it and I simply don't give a shit. You must have no problems if this is a major political concern to you

i understand that. but you getting ass-smashed over it doesn't make global warming real

I wouldnt go as far as saying "global warming" doesnt exist at all. Its a mixture of natural and human influence. The real argument is whether or not its a present danger, which in reality no its not. A few animals may go extinct, and some landscapes might change, but this has been the reality of earth since before humans existed.

I believe in it.
but its not america causing it is india and china destroying the earth.
The paris accord was not to help the enviroment it was to take wealth from the u.s. and redistribute the money to non-white third world country's.

I believed in it for a week after Al-Gore's flick. Then I did research and learned it was a big crock of shit aimed to make a pocket full of assholes rich. We shouldn't pollute our environment and really don't to a reasoned degree in the U.S due to the EPA. It's developing and third world countries who could give fuck all in their bid to catch up to us who pollute the most. That + globalization are the big contributors. When you stop and realize they wont do anything to the root contributors because they want to keep up their profit margins, you learn that its just a big PR/Marketing scam to create a subsidized industry that won't tackle the major issues.

Never gave a fuck about it, I am now getting annoyed about how often it comes up/

In the mediaeval age, England was so hot that there were some fifty vineyards in the south of England.

In the Victorian age, it was so cold that people used to go ice skating on the River Thames.

The temperature today does not come close to either of these two extremes, and, if CO2 emissions were responsible for global warming, one would expect the mediaeval period to be the cold one, and the Victorian one, the hot one; whereas the truth is directly the opposite of this.

My view is unchanged. It's happening but at some poin the gulfstream will stop and the "global warming" will become a localized hell while the pole will cool rapidly. It's all more complicated than "Global warming"

I lost belief when people noticed as the glacier near me receded it exposed thousands of year old dead spruce trees. The glacier receded, a forest grew, the glacier advanced and mowed the forest over, then the glacier receded exposing the trees.

The earth has been warming and cooling forever,

"Climate change predictions have been wrong for decades. Let’s look at some. At the first Earth Day celebration, in 1969, environmentalist Nigel Calder warned, “The threat of a new ice age must now stand alongside nuclear war as a likely source of wholesale death and misery for mankind.” C.C. Wallen of the World Meteorological Organization said, “The cooling since 1940 has been large enough and consistent enough that it will not soon be reversed.” In 1968, Professor Paul Ehrlich predicted that there would be a major food shortage in the U.S. and that “in the 1970s and 1980s hundreds of millions of people (would) starve to death.” Ehrlich forecasted that 65 million Americans would die of starvation between 1980 and 1989 and that by 1999, the U.S. population would have declined to 22.6 million. Ehrlich’s predictions about England were gloomier. He said, “If I were a gambler, I would take even money that England will not exist in the year 2000.

In 1970, Harvard University biologist George Wald predicted, “Civilization will end within 15 or 30 years unless immediate action is taken against problems facing mankind.” Sen. Gaylord Nelson, in Look magazine in April 1970, said that by 1995, “somewhere between 75 and 85 percent of all the species of living animals (would) be extinct.”

Hey you kids on summer break... don't waste your life on the computer, and on Sup Forums. If you're going to waste time, do it learning something, like how to play the guitar. Or learn programming. Don't endlessly reply to these pointless threads. They are meaningless. It's tantamount to talking to yourself.

Here you go.

most of the americans here dont think pollution is real/the free market will fix it

Lets have the swiss pay the carbon tax and fund the paris accord leave the u.s. out of it.

Something I've realized about scientists is that most of them have severe social autism. So they assume that people will only take action if they're told they'll all die tomorrow and are unable to understand that people can be reasonably spurred to take long term action if you tell them the truth. And they don't get that when people are lied to they're less likely than ever to take you seriously.

I'm not saying climate change isn't real, I'm not even saying humans don't have a hand in it.
It's been turned into a shitty political tool so imo it receives way more attention than it should.

I'm much more worried about South America clearing forests and abusing the fuck out of fertile soils by planting soy because first world faggots can't get enough of the stuff.
I'm worried about farmers switching to producing rape or bio-fuel because government subsidies make it more profitable than producing food.
I'm worried about the excessive amount of packanging everything's put in.
All of these are as worrysome as the increase in average temperatures but they don't get nearly as much attention as climate change.

I'd really like a genuine response from people to answer some questions about our response to "Climate Change". If the planet is truly doomed by these temperatures:

> Why have we not been investing enormous amounts of resources into nuclear energy and breeder reactors to dramatically emissions? The red-tape and political obstruction around nuclear energy make no sense.
> Why is Immigration to raise GDP being promoted when this will only further boost emissions in the 1st world, and relieve population pressures on the third world? Depopulation should be seen as a goal.
> Why aren't we doing more to create national mag-lev train systems to help reduce fuel emissions from travel and freight?
> Why are companies allowed to outsource their economic pollution to China and pretend they're compliant with regulations?
> Why haven't we overhauled the global shipping industry's 90,000 ships, all of which are huge polluters?
