Territorial waters are 12 nautical miles if i recal. correctly, anything beyond that is international waters except for economic purposes (fishing, drilling etc). Exclusive economic zone is 300 miles (or in most other cases an equidistance line). If you have a territorial shelf the exclusive economic zone can be larger.
