I should note that liberals want green energy shit to be HEAVILY HEAVILY subsidized by the government.
As it stands, it will take DECADES for green tech to be as profitable as gas/coal energy. DECADES because the green tech is super unreliable (especially wind and solar) and most people would rather stick with gas/coal because they want power sources that work 24-7, as solar and wind only work part of the time due to the shoddy tech.
An example of this is the electric car/Tesla's car company. Elon Musk, who makes the electric car, gets BILLIONS in subsidies to prop up his business, due to the fact that electric cars cost about two-three times more than gas cars and only the super rich can buy them.
Liberals who run these alternative power companies that do solar and wind don't fucking want to wait decades to become profitable. They want to be billionaires NOW. RIGHT NOW, NOT LATER. Which means basically becoming parasite companies making their money solely off of government welfare. Which Republicans fucking refuse to allow happen, hence why Van Jones is pissy.

If they want VC for green stuff, then they should argue for the fed to provide the loans for it, and if it doesn't work then the green companies go bankrupt, have their assets liquidated, etc. as usual. And if there was fraud, then we arrest the execs, put them on trial, use RICO laws as appropriate, and seize their assets.
It's very easy to do things within our existing legal framework. Hell, the President can even make these things happen per the War Powers Act if they're so dead set on living in an autocracy.
