Im the guy you responded to my long post about what saddam did wrong

I get it, you love him, but youre not giving a clear picture, theres a reason why the Insurgency was so deadly and well-armed in Sunni areas especially. He left the extremist Sunnis alone and there were sunni Areas with little to no Baath preesence even before the invasion.Zarqawi and his group had been in Iraq untouched for years. Ansar al Islam were roaming free in supposedly government-controlled areas He definitely showed favoritism towards his sect.

Also, even if most of the soldiers and civilian leaders where shiite, the army and party leadership were all sunnis and from even his extended clan.

I understand you love him, but my initial poont of that picture being innacurate still stands, Bashar himself would be repulsed to have his pic next to Saddam, its like placing a picture of Hitler next to Stalin and saying "you watch the skies we will watch europe" They were mortal enemies, you cant ignore that and count them as the same political orientation and line regardless of what you think about the,

Pssst hey Assad...

The environment in Vietnam was the biggest problem.

>>US lawmakers pressing for sanctions on Qatar received over $1m from lobbyists linked to Israel, Saudi Arabia and UAE.

thanx for posting and making this!

Balkanization WHEN

no Qatar happenings in the last two hours

Many saw the Faith Campaign as hypocritical or pandering since Saddam championed himself as a secular nationalist fighting Islamic militarism during the eight year war against Iran, and they’re probably right, but he tried fighting Islamic extremism by pushing his own version of Islam and appropriating Islamic symbolism himself. Regardless, his crackdown of Wahhabist circles during the 90’s are a model to be imitated and studied for its effectiveness in squashing Islamic extremism.
foreignaffairs.com/articles/iraq/2016-01-12/saddams-isis

>there were sunni Areas with little to no Baath preesence even before the invasion
What did you expect of a regime drained from any funds and in complete crisis? Public spending decreased by up to 90%, the army was crippled, and the population were in dire need of food and medicine. Despite Iraq agreeing to all UN terms and destroying its chemical weapons arsenal by 1994 [See Box 2-2], the sanctions were never lifted. The embargo destroyed everything and for 13 years Iraq was being drained out before the invasion, all of its progress erased.

>Zarqawi and his group had been in Iraq untouched for years.
Zarqawi was receiving medical treatment in Iran in 2001 as they refused to extradite him on Jordanian request. Before that, he was in Afghanistan. How the fuck would he be in Iraq when all "evidence" on his location in 2002-2003 was confused, multiple entities claiming he was either in Iraqi Kurdistan, Iran, Syria, or Jordan all at the same time?

>Bashar himself would be repulsed to have his pic next to Saddam
>They were mortal enemies

Relations remained cool until Bashar al-Assad became President of Syria in 2000.
Syria strongly opposed the occupation of Iraq in 2003, stressing the necessity to maintain the independence of Iraq and support its political process, demanding a time table for the withdrawal of the foreign troops from Iraq. Syria has also played the host for more than 2 million Iraqis, providing refuge for them.

Bashar was a lot more reasonable than his father and improved Syria-Iraq relations significantly. I wouldn't say he was an enemy of Saddam, far from it.

I know he did not gas Kurds because he was an "ebil dictatorz", I read somewhere they were supporting soldiers from Iran probably the reason they got the gas treatment. That is why I wanted to confirm from someone more knowledgeable about this situation.

Thanks morocco bro.

>colgate

Did we hear back from Gruber and his date, too?

B-but I don't.

you're a bad guy, stupid guy

Ar you the Abdullah Ibn Avraham Ibn Moshe Ibn Abd Al Wahhab from last thread?

I don't lurk enough to know who that is.

#Daraa warcrimes.

pity, one looks like she had good tits

Anyway, hope I could convince some of you lads.

Some people like to call him the Lion of the sunnis. I feel that's pretty incorrect. He was the lion of the Arabs at the time, a title he completely deserves. Far too many people have a skewed / biased view of him.

>Gruber
Not yet, haven't seen him since

Australian guy, maybe he's on too late for you.

the one with pink sock and black pants. what a pity

imma scatm....

>>Eritrea said in a statement it "rejected" the demand to cut ties "with brother Doha".
Good on them.

Aren't they high on the list of next country for the US to "liberate" though?

Yep that's the one.

what a life, huh

Aside from being a Baathist and trying to escape the US dollar why was Saddam good?

I wonder how many baathists there still are in Iraq

Yeah, to be that deluded into fighting for a fairytale.

Are there any livestreams or updates from the Raqqa offensive?

>Three Euphrates Shield members reportedly defected to the SDF. These three men were part of Jabhat al-Shamiya, brigade 12, battalion 4.
These motherfuckers choose k*rds over Assad?!

US in Africa, not going to happen desu

assad is so sad
assad is so bad

Pic related.

twitter.com/mig29_?lang=en

Us put in place a policy of de-baathification after the invasion where they systemically hunted and killed party members, so not many I guess

> Are there any livestreams or updates from the Raqqa offensive?
Its all a setup, the kurdish terrorists and ISIS terrorists arent really fighting

I thought we had a big base there and there was 2-3 African countries on the list of targets to help secure the Gulf of Aden.

>Kataib Imam Ali has begun a new offensive in order to secure border from Syrian side

Epigenetics has only compliemented today's darwinian evolution, not absolved it

And it still contradicts the hadith

did they died

Every attack, strike, clash, battle, or minor argument leaves commanders (especially top commanders) dead.

how long did it take us to get control of iraq tho?

>SDF mowing trough Raqqa taking neighborhoods within hours without victims

Told you niggers, it's a setup.

Almost 9 years. Way more than that if you count that Mosul still isn't "under control".

>Israel: 'General Qassem Soleimani made US CENTCOM look like utter fools for thinking that Iran was not able to reach the Iraqi border'

3 weeks

There are capable forces in the region. For a long time now US/UK strat has been to work with them and take a backseat role. This excludes special forces command of course.

Africa has been a dead horse since Mogadishu '93

the US deliberately gave the the area you stupid useless eater

youtube.com/watch?v=o6eXyjCTx3c

And then almost a decade of fighting an Insurgency. I wouldn't call that "control".

99D chess?

Israel: 'General Qassem Soleimani made US CENTCOM look like utter fools for thinking that Iran was not able to reach the Iraqi border'

Iran BTFOing enemies

Iran reigns supreme !

Sure they did, my fellow ziosalafist

Some very good stuff from Nasrallah. Thanks to Argentianon for posting a few threads back. Well worth it if u have the time.

wtf why cant i choose all 3????

>WHEN

...

Right in the fucking feels

Because what you don't understand is that there is people within our govt' who wanted that to happen. Realistically why would obama have taken us out other wise? Think about it like this. We want assad dead. If a war between the united states and syria ever happens. hes going to be dead fairly quickly. ISIS and the kurds will gain even more control. We have our goals and we get them done.
I unironically assume most of the people in this general are muslim and not native to where they live.
