The way I see it, there's a massive gap between my direct "spiritual" (I hate that word) experiences and the dogma of the Bible, and I don't see any possible way to connect the two. One thing I should also mention is that the Christianity of the Renaissance was highly unorthodox. The major theologians like Giovanni Pico and Meister Eckhart were concerned heretical they had theology that made Man divine and get rid of the concept of sin entirely. That's sort of what Avveroes did with Islam.

They are both states that are valid and necessary.
