So, in summation America, business wise played a perfect strategy, globalisation benefits everyone. Free trade benefits everyone. It keeps costs low and america being an import economy, controlling patents and intellectual property and licensing made a lot of money. Other countries did not steal jobs, but american companies failed to build factories due to the fact that it was cheaper for them to build abroad. Once again, it was the strategy that america chose to use.
It was a strategy that made America a lot of money, however, a lot of that money has been spent on numerous wars, further yes, a lot was lost when the economy crashed, but other countries were hit hard too. In a sense it reset the playing board, not completely perhaps, but brought everyone down. And America, having failed to invest in it's infrastructure while other formerly poorer countries had caught up saw them as having disproportionately benefited. America earnt more money than them, but chose to spend them in non-productive ways. Further, they failed to invest in the future. Not only in things like infrastructure, but also in education.
America's strategy was to control I.P's, patents, to develop technology. However, releasing those for other countries to produce helped them to close the gap. Not only that, but America failed to invest in the education of it's next generation, thus the supply of patents and technology is drying up, especially as the rest of the world catches up.
Lastly. The money was not properly distributed. The wealth divide is a massive problem. Under America's management the money collected at the top, social mobility has largely shut down and the money that the richest invested in Wall street has vanished.
In all, Globalism works if youre fucking retarded american
