If you can actually "enrich" the economy, as in provide more than you take, then you should have no trouble getting a visa. All you need to do is find an employer in need of skills that no American can fill. Generally this means you need to find a job that pays at the very least 70k a year. Good luck.
If you want to understand America you should read about it's colonial history right at the establishment of Jamestown and Plymouth Rock. You will find that America has always oscilatted between moral proselytization and the pursuit of profit. The morals change and the ways of making profit change, but these two poles have been the main drivers of American culture.
Compared to other nations, American history is quite short relatively. So do read up on it, I read a great book on it, but unfortunately the name of it escapes me right now and I don't own it anymore.
