>Rebel spokesman Abu al-Atheer said the goal of the government forces was "to cut our advance towards Deir al-Zor. But we are moving towards a plan to take us to Deir al-Zor even if they enter," Abu al-Atheer said. >"The battle is not over and we will not allow the Iranian Shi'ites to occupy our land. Our response to those who stand against us will be cruel," he added. He sounds fairly moderate.

>Emmanuel Macron was questioned on the situation of the province Al Hoceima by the French press present at his press conference: here is his answer:
>"The King considers that it is legitimate and normal for there to be protests, it is a constitutional right, unlike other countries of the region." "His wish is to calm the situation, especially by means of very concrete public policy responses, and there will be a long-term answer to the root causes of what has happened. The region is dear to him, he is used to staying there, it is a tradition he has established, he is concerned about the situation. "
>France also welcomes Morocco's African policy and its role as mediator in the Gulf crisis. The two states will expand their partnership in education and culture as well as the economy and modernization of institutions and administrations.
Looks like Macron is being reasonable on this front.
According to the new 2011 constitution, the king isn't a sacred person in Morocco anymore, but in practice outright calling for republicanism is probably a very, very bad idea
Freedom of press was increased since Hassan II's era and you don't have to risk much anymore even when discussing the king's person (cue the large amount of books that were released on Hassan II after his death) but the official story is still "The king does his utmost but is held back by the corrupt establishment and the incompetent government"
Pakistan and Saudia relations have been historically good. Even more so during current political parties government as the Sharif were the guests of the Saudis when General Musharaf took power and tried to take them out. While relations between Pakistan and Iran are not good but not bad either (keep in mind we did try to give them P1 centrifuges designs to help make nukes in 2003. we helped them ,the Libyans and the North Koreans, Except for the Koreans the rest of them sold us out to the Americans.) We do not want a war with Iran as we have a strong enemy on our Eastern border to consider. And we do have a large shia minority a lot of whom are in our military and government positions. So a sectarian conflict will be fatal for us considering we have an unfriendly government in Afghanistan who wants out North western province and an enemy in India. Therefore Pakistan rejected Saudi's call for joining coalition to attack Yemen in 2015 and also declared that the Syrian government is rightful ruler of Syria and any decision to seed power to the people belongs to Assad not an outsider. This was done because we have an insurgency to clear from our own country and a sectarian conflict will destroy us as stated above.

Yup, and pic related. ISIS clearly don't want SAA/PMU to reach DeZ, but doesn't seem too attack SDF...

They were only a majority in Mordern Day Iranian Kurdistan south of Urmia River and maybe Afrin . These two are the only places where Kurds are historically a majority Other than that Assyrians and Armenians and even Azeris North of Urmia and Alevi Turkmen were the majorities in the areas that are now Kurdish Majorities It wasn't until the Ottomans used them against Christians and Alevis and to keep controll over arabs that they expanded so much. Basically it's the balkans boy fucking Ottomans faults. Also in Iraqs case the Anglo supported another genocide of Assyrians in Duhok

As for the Pakistani support of Afghan Talibans. Well, support to them is given as we do not want an Indian friendly government on our western border. The Americans support the Indians in order to contain China. China fears a US foothold in Afghanistan as it will give the US a way to control the Central Asian energy corridor and also the manipulate the Islamic extremist to cause unrest in their xinjiang region where there is a Islamic insurgency carried out by ETIM (East Turkestan Islamic Movement). though they have control over it now, but if Central Asia is under the control of us nothing can be said about the future then. So being our ally the Chinese influence the Taliban to keep the situation from stabilizing in Afghanistan for the US to achieve anything and it seem to be working as they have yet to gain control even after 15 years. This is very short and i have not mentioned a lot of details but in short this could have been avoided we could have helped the burgers and vice versa but we did not trust each other and our priorities were diverging with the passage of time. And yes we do have good relations with Turkey.

I just don't understand what the fuck were the Americans thinking here Did they WANT Iraqis to see them as occupiers? It seems that Neocons thought that Iraqis would be Cucked like Ger"men" in the 1940's

What's going on inside that ISIS pocket west of Kirkuk inbetween the Iraqi and Kurdish territories?
They think everyone in the world wants to be American and have freedom and democracy. Typical American cluelessness, ignorance and lack of long-term planning. You could see the same with all their wars in the XXth century. At least the Anglos used to be cruelly pragmatic and logical when they were a world power.
