Making college free and mandatory

How do you feel about compulsory college education?

I think it's going to be necessary in this modern world for citizens to have more technical skills to bring to the workplace, since its inevitable for lower skilled jobs to become automated.

We should increase the minimum wage at the same time though to prevent underemployment, as it will be cheaper to use machines for low-skilled jobs rather than pay humans a higher minimum wage.

College didn't teach me shit, I learned more about psychology, sociology, economics, and business working a menial retail job than I ever did in college.

learning is as easy as typing a question into the google search bar. And that's free.
Employers are realizing this, and don't care about education as much. Any skill someone needs to know can be learned online.

free college and compulsory college are very different things.

"Yeah, take the government propaganda education or else go to fucking jail"

>Mandatory college

We all know the wonders that mandatory schooling does to standards.

>compulsory

or what? you can't force adults to be where they don't want to be

also, qt Slav thread general

...

That's a great point I didn't even think of. Turning 18=technically done with schooling, you're officially an adult and can do whatever you want. Force people to continue going to school, and you're basically forcing people not to grow up for another 4 years minimum, and man-babies/woman-babies that never grew up are currently a huge problem as it is

Not until the (((leftists))) have been purged. It's like subsidizing your downfall if the purging has not been done.

Bad idea.
We have enough people with degrees and a bad attitude that makes them think they're too good for McDonalds and instead live as unemployed "intellectuals"
Why would you want more of that?

>Mandatory libcuck education
no ty

>compulsory education
Because k-12 worked so well for the U.S.
Compulsory means state mandated. If you really want the state in charge of educating it's youth you end up with one thing. Tyrany.

99 percent population just need basic 5 years education ,

no more

Nothing like that should be mandatory, especially given that education is now just brainwashing that leaves people far stupider than when they started.

Not everyone is intellectually competent enough for higher education. Look at the niggers and retard SJWs at Evergreen chimping out. Now a college degree is worth shit, because even complete morons can get them.

If you are going to make it mandatory reduce the options to Math and Language.
Perfect one or the other or both. Then specialise.

Great idea OP. Let's get a PhD in Pottermore.

K-16

College can be free, HOWEVER it must be very hard to get in to.

Standards should rise and screen out the weak. Make it free so anyone who is smart enough to go can make it and it promotes equality of opportunity.

I have always looked at Harry Potter fans as retards. They're books for fucking children, yet idiots in their 20s love them, and the main character was ripped off from a bad 80s movie (look it up).

It would devalue a college education to the point of meaninglessness which it pretty much is at this point anyway, so it would be a giant waste of tax payer money.

this

>yes, I'd like more Jewish brainwashing please

>compulsory college education
yeah, great, turn college into more regular school, wonder why school sucks so much? because the little shits dont want to be there, and you cannot tell them to fuck off if they dont like it
also, if you make college compulsory, most people will take whatever is easiest, and then you have millions of (very expensive) liberal arts and african studies majors

Get the globalist kikes hands out of our education system and I would be fine with it being mandatory.

full blown leftist marxism is what causing education to be shit.

Teachers will go to shit instantly. Degrees become even more useless.

Mandatory liberal brainwashing, no thanks.

Most people are too retarded to benefit from higher education. It makes little sense to force them to go through it. In fact, it's questionable whether high school makes sense for everyone.

Look, most of the people attending post-secondary education aren't majoring in STEMM or Trade. It's mostly Liberal Arts or some other major that doesn't guarantee employment, let alone a livable wage. And you want more of this? Students not being able to pay their tuition debt, or having the taxpayers fund a proposal with no actual possible net benefit for it? Why?

Unless this suggestion is exclusively for students who desire majoring in a field with a career that's in-demand, then it's pointless to try. But then we're not even considering the fact that most people aren't even mentally capable of handing these majors. There's a reason why all the technical or mathematical heavy majors aren't that popular: most people just can't handle the course material.

You can get an education with an apprenticeship program and you get hands on experience without having to pay any money at all.

People who whine about free college are fucking babies that don't want to put in the time or effort into anything of worth.
