Hello Comrades. This general is for the discussion of Marxism-Leninism, the ideology of revolutionary socialism and communism.
Communism is the next stage of humanity following the capitalist stage.
What exactly is communism according to Marxist-Leninists:
>Communism is a stage of society in which the productive infrastructure is socially owned, and goods are produced not in order to sell for profit, but in order to meet a social need. >Communism in it's full form is a stateless, classless society that follows the maxim "From each according to their ability, to each according to their need." >To achieve such a society Marxism-Leninism teaches us that we must replace the capitalist state, which is controlled by the capitalist class, by a socialist state, which is controlled by the working class. Then, a period of class struggle follows in which the capitalist class is liquidated by the working class. When the capitalist class has been completely vanquished, there will be only one class, the working class, and eventually the functions of the state will become indistinguishable from the functions of the society as a whole, and the state as such will 'wither away' as Marx said. marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1847/11/prin-com.htm marxists.org/archive/marx/works/1848/communist-manifesto/
It's all fun and games until you got to give your lunch to your classmates.

Proponents of capitalism argue that the real living standards of those on low pay are better raised by allowing the whole economy to grow. As it grows, those at the bottom of the social heap will benefit from wealth that ‘trickles down’ from the top. The falsity of this argument can be seen by looking at the figures. The long term rate of growth of the UK economy is 2.5 percent per annum(1993).
How many years would it take a woman earning the median wage to get up to £300 per week at this growth rate? The answer is 30 years: check it on your calculator. Socialist redistribution could achieve directly what would otherwise take the better part of a working lifetime. With socialism the employee can have her cake and eat it too. She gets a once and for all rise in income through redistribution, but economic growth does not stop, so she will continue to enjoy rising earnings year by year.

Nobody but ignorant twats argue that money trickles down because there is no such thing as trickle down economics. You have to pay your employees first and hope that you make a profit. If you had even a modicum of business acumen you would know this but seeing as how you're a pathetic commie faggot with no skills and a big ego it doesn't seem to get through. Just kill yourself

But it is, you'd understand if you stood in line to lick a wooden spoon which was used to make bread once and drink out of a septic tank filled with Kvass while waiting to visit a grave which is thought to benefit the state.

>How do you figure out what society needs? How do you figure out who works where? people own the means of production. That's how they produce what they know they need

Yes. And how would he determine the prices?
And I won't even mention that the premise itself is very weird. Would you like having a computer determining what you should do? I wouldn't. I'd rather be free, even though that could mean I might end up in the shit someday, than having to obey a computer for some sort of 'common good' which I don't care about.

Communism is idealism. It's an utopia and, therefore, is not able to be refuted, just like all other sorts of pseudoscience.
If you want to talk about real stuff, we can talk about how the influence of the state is bad for the country. In real life, so-called communism means big state, even though, in the magical theories of Mr. Marx, it meant something very different. From Lula to Chavez, all of the politicians which were supported by the left tended to love the big state, and turned it into a massive machine which destroyed their countries' economies.
Commies are clueless about the world.
Forget about your dreams which will never be accomplished and focus on things that actually exist.
One of the biggesst hipocrisies of the commie is to talk about his ideology in terms of utopian communism whilst ignoring the evils of real-world communism, and talking shit about real-world capitalism while not even considering that the capitalist systems we have today are very different from utopian capitalism.
Ryan Anderson
>commissary privilege >party member privilege >utter silence and disappearance of dissenters >falsified crimes for GULag slave labor I hate responded but this is for the lurkers. >irony >in Capitalist societies, you can be a marxist >in (((Communist))) countries, any "Counter-Revolutionary" thought is met with execution Kek
Nicholas Baker
And why should I wish to obey a computer?
And who would be the humans that would program the computer?
Suppose the computer chooses what's better for me. What if I don't want it? What if I want McDonald's instead of vegetables? Then you would have to take into account personal preferences two, and now we have two different criterias: that which is objectively the best, and that which is personally the best. How is the computer going to be able to gather data about the second bit? And, by the way, how is it going to gather data about the first one anyways? Do you intend to make some sort of mega, ultra-personal census?
And what if there are more moral criteria? Who is going to select them? Who will be the programmers, what will be the philosophy of the programmers, and why should I wish to accept it?
Stop with this utopian thinking. This is childish stuff. The real world is different.

At the individual level, individuals know what they need and how to prioritize those needs because they know everything about themselves. They have all the information, which allows them to make these decisions. However when you move up to the society scale, society doesn't know what it wants because society isn't hive mind. It has no way of gathering all the relevant information.
At the individual level, a family can accurately estimate how many cars it needs. Without profit, how does society determine how resources should be diverted to make a sufficient amount of Boeing 747s?

Reminder: communism is a mental illness, it's not something you can reasonably argue against. Trust me, I have been trying to reach commies for a solid decade. Jordan Peterson understands and explains this with extreme detail: youtu.be/aDRgMUoEvcg?t=30m20s
There's no debate to have with commies on the economics academia, because they don't even have a ground to stand on, this is all purely philosophical and psychological dementia. Look at how young trannies and porn addicts are over represented among them.
Cooper Powell
Damn son, why is it ALWAYS that these marx/lenin/comm/whatever they call themselves is always a fucking student or works in service jobs or shit. Lord, in all my experience working in agriculture and transportation & logistics, I have never seen these types at all. AND I'VE BEEN WORKING THROUGH 17 STATES! If Reddit or IRL protest by "revolutionaries", from Trump's Inaugruration to recent rallies are any indicators that these are them? Then they ain't shit! KEK. >Say state is bad >make totalitarian super state >"It's actually meant to self dissolve dummy" >USSR dissolves >"The USSR would have been better than any first world country if it hadn't dissolved!! It's almost as if commies have no consistent beliefs whatsoever. Will we have a libertarian free country where people can associate themselves as they wish, or will we have a totalitarian super-state that monopolizes all resources which throws degenerates like you in labor camps where they labor to death?
Wyatt Bell
weak argument

How about this: "Removing profits and incentives for investments, employment, and economic growth, would destroy society." How about this for an argument? Or perhaps: "Why would workers deserve the returns from the investments they never made?" Is this a good argument? Maybe I could go with : "After over 50 years of undisputed leadership, no self proclaimed socialist nation ever managed to abolish money." Is this a weak argument?
Anthony Moore

State sponsored eugenics is better. Start weeding out undesired traits (low IQ, illness susceptibilities, other complex traits), and all this bullshit about inequality and wealth redistribution go away. In a handful of generations, we'd have the first society to think rationally, act non-violently, and truly live in a free-market.
Done.

Like the fact that there's never been a successful Communist society?
I'm going to ask you guys a question. As an actual worker, someone who busts their ass and gets dirty for my paycheck, why would I follow you guys. Why would the people I work with follow you guys. Most of you guys that I see spouting off this communist shit are fucking nerds that never worked a day in your life. I don't mean bagging groceries or working at a warehouse, I mean actual fucking work. You know, like what your symbol implies.
See, you guys aren't workers, and you don't intend to work after your little revolution. You're college kids from suburban neighborhoods who want to tell workers what to do. That's why you like this idea so much, you think you'll be one of the decision makers. You don't appeal to me at all, you appeal to faggots and furries though, for some reason. You will never have your revolution because you're all weak faggots.
Zachary Hughes
When socialism takes over USA it will be a good opportunity to establish a socialist state , then in the near or far future society will gradually reach the communist society.

Material conditions are better than in Russia 100 years ago, we have computers, robots, etc, perfect for automatizing production like never before.
Logan Adams
>>Basing society on the market
Yep, glad to do it, too. Weak ppl using the state to level the playing field has been tried, with countless millions of dead in exchange.
Once we have full and complete control of the genes correlated with IQ (that is not science fiction, but will be reality in 3-5 yrs), low IQ populations will become things of the past. We won't need crazy political ideologies to cull and control people. Intelligence and rational thought will be the order of the day, and free market principles will be the only paradigm these (near) future cultures will accept.
Ian Ward
Computers and automation didn't stop the Soviet Union or Communist China from failing.
Carson Foster
Is not to appeal authority , is not about taking the word of Marx like a religion but a lot of what he says makes a lot of sense, just read the manifesto it is easy to understand and makes a lot of sense even today then make up your own conclusions with what else you know.
Jacob Perez
Then why hasn't China improved?
Jackson Morris
Computer automatization of the state was never implemented in the soviet union, it was rejected by silly politicians.
