If you just want to drop weight and get healthier change your eating style. Cut out all carbs, stay under 20 grams of carbs per day all from dark leafy veggies. Do what I did, take advantage of the extra weight to do simple body-weight exercise for greater benefit. Use a chalkboard/whiteboard/piece of paper taped to the wall to keep track of how many squats, push-ups and crunches you can do in a day. Start real easy, something laughable like 10 each, the point is to do at least some every day. You don't even have to do them all at once just make it a tally system so you can do a few reps whenever you have the energy and will (I don't know how fat you actually are). Do this and eat "better" i.e. mostly veg & meat. Anybody can unfat themselves temporarily these days, develop your discipline to stay healthy. Once you get to a normal weight range find a normal fitness regimen that you at least sort-of enjoy and go from there.

Remember, your body doesn't like losing weight, it has evolved to gain or maintain in the face of a harsh world you don't live in anymore. Once you achieve and hold a normal weight your appetite will fall in line as long as you are getting enough nutrients which is where a balanced diet comes in..

Just walk more. Eat a little less. Do some squats and pushups every day, not alot, just enough to feel yourself getting stronger.

There's no secret to losing weight. You just have to be more active over a longer stretch of time, but walking places, especially climbing stairs / steps does help alot.

Don't drink soda anymore. The stuff is like liquid fat, and it's bad for you in more ways than just fat.

If you need something to drink, chug a protein drink once a day. There are some pretty tasty protein drinks out there.
