Hell, if the bankers want entire countries in debt to them and useful idiots actively praise the idea what the fuck can we do

Nope, drunk midsummer poster who's not so sure how to correct engrish anymore rightly so... and shit.

Welfare should be for the mentally ill, those with physical disabilities or victims of serious accidents/crimes and the elderly and that's it.

Better dead than red.

>UBI

>socialism

Is there any actual difference between UBI and a Negative Income Tax?

Like you even need that thin excuse to get drunk Pekka.

...

weird

why didn't they studied socialism in this shithole, or venezuela, or bolivia, or cuba

Not even then you fucking liberal.

Remember that if you are working, you will have to earn money for your own basic income, and now in addition for the basic income of those who don't work.

Those weren't proper types of socialism

>Thoughts on researching socialism for 3 years and it being superior to our current welfare system?

Venezuela proves this doesn't work.

Those excuses are for me

Kind of a metonym, i think:
>In economics, a negative income tax (NIT) is a progressive income tax system where people earning below a certain amount receive supplemental pay from the government instead of paying taxes to the government.
>[...]
>Negative income taxes can implement a basic income or supplement a guaranteed minimum income system.

all it proves is brown people suck at anything they try

go post another Laura southern thread

It could work in an all-White homogenous society.
Guess what Europe won't be in 50 years.

How is the UBI payed? Income taxes? Consumption taxes?

Current welfare system is an abomination. There should never, ever be a situation where someone has LESS money by working than by not working, yet it is very often the case with the current system if you ever take advantage of any of the non-monetary benefits like health, dental, food, etc...

So any system that doesn't result in situations like this is an improvement. But is UBI really the best system for this? I used to think so until I talked to a lot of my lefty friends who think we should keep current benefits on TOP of UBI. Now I'm not so sure.

>He thinks Venezuela failed entirely because of socialism and not a failure to diversify its economy

Liberalism could've helped, but Chavez alone didn't sink them.

>liberal
Imagine being an Am*rican and believing that politics is a dichotomy between two vastly similar parties

>he thinks it wasn't because of socialism that they failed to diversify their economy

I ain't that faggot. I have self respect.

There's not supposed to be a welfare system

This is also true. Also why I'm not a full-on socialist.

>implying there aren't liberals in other countries
gas yourself

>instead of assessing each case and giving gibme's buxs accordingly, WHY NOT GIVE EVERYONE MONEY
>oh, and we need more immigrants
I hate Europe

Something like UBI would only work in an high IQ, high trust, ethnically homogenous nation. Even then it could backfire and encourage sloth. What I really don't like about UBI is that the kinds of people who support are welfare queens, jobless imbeciles, and leftists. The idea of UBI does not come from a place of empathy and societal unification, but rather from a place of envy and laziness.
