R/neoliberal's reading list

Thoughts?

Boring list

>neoliberal
not even once.

...

...

Libertarianism = Neoliberalism on steroids

liberals quite literally don't have arguments so they don't need books or any knowledge. the entire structure from top to bottom of neoliberalism is just a sleight of hand and lies to gain power and then they use identity politics to finish off white men before they recover.

there's no arguments or thoughts just screams of racyst and bigot.

don't bother reading any of that shit and just remove part of your brain instead then you're a specific liberal

Why do you have recognized social scientists and thoroughly established theories mixed in with popular literature and autobiographies?

>/r/neoliberal

I've noticed a lot of shit like this popping up lately. People have noticed the success and popular appeal that we (or on plebbit the_donald) are having and decided that the key to replicating that is to ape the superficial features. See also Chapo Trap House, which is a blatant rip off of the Daily Shoah.

It's not going to work though, because they can only replicate the surface features (shitposting etc). Their ideologies completely lack the ability to stir up the deeper passions that fundamentally motivate us

Sad!

Stop reading books by political pundits on topics du jour.

A third of the people on the list were racialists you absolute morons

They can write all the books and theorize all they want: the real world is the real world. And neo-liberalism is failing *in front of our eyes*
Lemme guess.
>real neoliberalism has never been tried.

I always what is the actual purpose of all these reading lists since everyone here just relies on meme

Fuck off back to plebbit faggot

tfw read two thirds of this list

Most people here are too illiterate don't even understand what neoliberalism is. Reddit t_d burger scum think it's something with le SJW libruls and not just destructive economic policies they'd like if they knew how to read.

I'm still not sure what /r/neoliberal is. At first I thought it was satire, but they seem genuine, Are they former SJWs who realized that authoritarianism is not working out for them? Or are they "fuck both sides" centrists?

It's establishment goons (the sort of bugmen who work as interns in Washington) trying to tap into our recent success by copying us.

Communist shill!

>On Liberty

Literally the most blue-pilled book out there. It assumes that everybody would have the time and resource to engage in ideological discourse.

>Road to serfdom
>Wealth of nations
>Free to choose

This didn't sound like neo-liberalism to me...

>reading economics books from 70+ years ago

This is pure author fetishism.

if you're reading an economics book from 40 or more years ago you're just being an idiot poser. unless it's on a particularly niche subject.
There will be a book or textbook written more recently with more up to date research and study and empirical evidence and case studies.

Don't be an idiot who wastes their time reading something just to name-drop the author.
if you want to actually understand economics and not be a worthless "intellectual" spewing invalid positions from 60+ years ago that have since been debunked or refined, then read real , contemporary text books.

What puzzles me is how economic-minded and capitalistic they are, but left-leaning on everything else. This is new to me.

there are no good contemporary text books

economics has evolved so fast during the last few years that you have to read the papers themselves

Reading is for nerds. Drudge tells me everything I need to know
