I grew up on a major Air Force Base, my Dad had just got home from work and went straight to the bathroom like he usually did. My Mom, sister and I were at the kitchen bar watching PBS or something and it cut to the news. My mom ran to the bathroom and said "AnonDad, AnonDad, a plane just hit the world trade center!". I remember thinking how odd that was because there was never an event that I can remember that got that reaction out of my mom. My initial thought that the World Trade Center was a building on base.
So my Dad drove me to school, I believe I was a sophmore in high school and we just sat in silence listening to the radio. At school, in every class we just watched the news. None of us kids really understood what was going on, never really knew what a terrorist was until then. The impact of the event didn't start hitting until we heard the death tolls. Very strange and sad experience.
In 5th grade math class that morning when it happened. Around 2:00 that day I had a social studies class. In that class we watched it on t.v and it honestly seemed like a movie. People were jumping and the teacher kept changing the channel and finally gave up because the news kept showing jumpers. It was hard to comprehend the magnitude at the time. I remember my teacher telling us that the world is about to change. I went home and watched it on t.v. with my parents. Our neighbor came over to our house that night around 7:00 and he said the collapse looked just like a controlled demolition and it always stuck in my head kek. People changed after that day and we lost trust in each other.
Well my dad worked off Church St. so he was basically within the collapse zone.
I was 10 and a month earlier I had come home from vacation by airplane, and visited the WTC the year before. I found out what happened when they let us out early from school. I remember being terrified that he might die. We then found out he was fine and spent the rest of the workday trying to get home.
I couldn't even go up to him because he was covered in dust, and as far as we know he isn't sick with cancer. Yet. I also remember for the rest of the day, it didn't even sink into my mind what had happened.
I was literally on the street in New York when I saw the plane ream into the tower, I witnessed the entire thing from beginning to end. I was with my roommate and saw the second plane ream into the second tower and come out the other side. Then I watched the towers collapse one first and then the second, mostly due to structural failure as the fires were just too intense.

The day it happened, I thought it was strange that the buildings would fall straight down. I never saw a building fall like that, plus late in the afternoon, I remember them saying on the news that they were going to demolish building 7 because "it was unstable and they wanted to control the damage" or something. Of course it fell the same way, straight down. Little did I know how much there was to this and how far they would go to lie about it.
I wasn't as shocked as the people who were like "I thought it was impossible that it could happen here!" Bad stuff happens all over the world everyday. You hear in on the news every single night. I never believed we were in some protective bubble and now it was time to panic.
The next few days a lot of broadcasts were more silent and somber on the tv and radio, and the whole USA stuff lasted until about I'd say the beginning of 2002 before people stopped hugging each other and everything and they went back to being jerkoffs to each other again. I was just surprised at the lack of developments around finding bin laden and all that. Somehow they INSTANTLY knew "this can only be the work of this guy you've all never heard of before!" on the day it happened, but he was somehow SO sneaky that he was impossible to find? There were never updates or anything in the news over the next few years and it didn't seem like they really cared about getting him. Psh, of course now, it turns out he was probably dead sometime near the end of 2001 since he was on dialysis at the time of the attacks. Same thing as Kony where it was a wild goose hunt for a dead man. When everything is in emergency mode, you can get away with a lot more.

Honestly the more i look at the collapse of the towers, the more i see the official story is valid.
If you look at the floor trusses on each level, they were flimsy as fuck. Fire burning over at least ~5 floors and large structural damage over those floors does quite a bit of damage. Not only that but the design of having the main structure built around a set of strong center columns was bizzare and the pancake theory seems valid. You see with the collapse of the second tower, the core columns were left standing in the air as the floors collapsed around it, before the columns finally collapsed with it.
While i see the consistency with the two trade centers collapsing, i dont see how shanksville and the pentagon can be explained.

I was 13 and in Lunch about 30mins outside Manhattan, I'd guess 11:45ish, and the aids told us that something was going on. I for some reason didn't realize the gravity at that moment even though I was so close to the incident. My parents were divorced but My mom frantically tried to get in touch with my dad even though they didn't talk. My dad watched the trade center fall on his way out of the city from an overpass after a meeting. One of his best friends died that day. He had his other friend drive him around town to places which him and his friend hung out in HS and after to mourn. We spent a lot of time at his friends house after that day for summer parties and whatnot. So many people we knew were affected. That day and more so the following months/years are ingrained in my mind, I regret not joining the military at 18. Even though I am successful in the private sector and overall a happy man I am upset physically by my choice not to join the military when I came of age. This doesn't come to mind everyday, but when it does my vivid memories of that day return and all the emotion and loss flood back like a dam burst. I love country an believe the following response of the government was our way of healing, regardless of the consequences we would have never healed without a swift and decisive response condemning the horrors of Islam. By 1 pm heard from all dads who were there. Everyone ok except one who fell on the stairs and broke his arm and collar bone. Consider that a win and go to the market for things to make a big dinner. Here building 7 collapse while at the market. Friend says that can't be, it wasn't hit. Watch tv the rest of the night. Hear rumors that other people have not heard from realities yet. I was in middle School. Old enough to remember.
The class (2nd period) was watching NBC on some shitty CRT TV mounted on the wall. The weird thing was it was like the school wanted us to witness the terrorist attack. Wanting it to really sink in.
I also remember my history teacher saying "this war on terror in the middle East will Never end in your life time." Now look where we are almost 20 years later...
