My job as a teacher is to teach, not to give a fuck about the gender identity crisis my students are going through, let alone try to fight them on it. If one of my students can tell me what the function of the endoplasmic reticulum is why should I give a fuck what they want to be called?
My classroom maintains an atmosphere of respect. If a male student wants to be called by female pronouns then so be it as long as they are respectful and don't cause a disruption. Transphobic assholes cause disruptions exponentially more than students who just mind their own business.
