Catastrophic really wasn't that expensive before Obongo. I paid $64/mo when I first got a plan at 22, when Obama took it away 10 years later it'd only moved up to $77/mo. No prescription drug plan, no vision/dental, but it covered a yearly checkup, and had a really low deductible with major injury/hospice/etc 100% covered and ER visits were 33% covered from the start. If you want affordable insurance you have to let people buy bargain plans, if you want affordable health CARE, the stop treating dead people with chemo and tell doctors to stop recommending unnecessary procedures.
You can get good coverage for next to nothing, just take care of yourself and don't expect $800 fashionable glasses for free, or to get lipo covered. There's plenty of co-ops out there that beat the shitty Obongocare model
