I arrived in Italy as an expat but when I switched from the international system and started going to Italian high school, I picked the linguistic lyceum. It was easy as shit for me and although there is a case to be made for the scientific lyceum to be the most "useful", I would argue the maths curriculum was taken no less seriously by my teacher. It literally doesn't matter what high school you went to if you plan on going to an Italian university anyway. You might just get a slight head depending on what you choose to study.
