i don't know much of germany besides the large events since 1950. when did the slide into it's modern self begin? was it a gradual process, that grew from the people or was it something that began in government and spread outward?
One can only guess. In the case of the immigrants, I feel like the pendulum is almost standing still and starting to swing back soon. The strongest political party in switzerland is now even considering cancelling schengen and that's a pretty big thing, for me at least. But look at eastern europeans getting uppity. I can see some signs, but as I said before, one can only guess.
