I fail to understand how this is Trumps fault....

It just shows private insurance works

Why are we trying to keep children like this alive?

Yes, I am. We're cutting the deficit almost in half.

>$198k medical bill
>hrrr drr insurance works
Are you this retarded or just larping?

Keeping such a person who'll never lve a healthy and productive lifestyle alive only causes them more pain as time goes on, watch whom you make offspring with and never put all your chicken eggs in one basket (have more then one child)

How is this my responsibility specifically?
Why should others have to cover his bill?
Hard mode: no appeals to emotion
Annnnnnnnd go...

>please pay this amount
>$500

Can you read?

$500 for open heart surgery is a deal

>end user only paying $500
I spend more money than that for tires on my car. She can't scrape it together for her child?

She only owes 500 of an 87,000 bill. Her post should be titled "Thank You Private Insurer."

If you feel some personal responsibility for that child's health care, then I recommend making a private donation to help cover the cost of it.

I'll look after my own kid. Stop trying to virtue flag with my money.

Nope. But I bet she has a computer, cell phone and multiple televisions.

It would never be that high to begin with if it wasnt for insurance companies numbnuts

Have to pay 500 dollars out of a 90k charge? THE HORROR TRUMP IS KILLING BABIES

I never understood this. If you have a kid that's born with a severe defect that requires extensive surgical correction, isn't it better to just let the kid die and have another one? That way instead of pouring tons of resources into a defective child, you can have a child that can actually use those resources effectively?

Another way to see it, the kid with the fucked up heart is starting the race 20m behind the starting line. Another kid that you have that has a healthy heart will start on the starting line.

It wouldn't be 198k, but it wouldn't be five hundred fucking bucks. It costs two grand for a grease monkey to do anything more than the most trivial repairs on a car. Pretty sure doctors are gonna demand a higher wage than that

Christ, medical costs are out of control here in Amerikkka.

Also SCHIP was a thing before the ACA existed, it's not parents couldn't get their children health insurance before Obama.

well shit sign me up to upgrade my heart for 500 bucks.

She's a proper cunt.

>Be american
>Can't afford surgery
>Die
youtube.com/watch?v=g6vQTuJ6SA0
In all seriousness is this what happens when you can't pay the medical fee in america?

genelets are a biological weapon, they drain your nhs like there is no tomorrow

Not everyone lacks empathy like you

Nah, you just declare medical bankruptcy.

maybe not 200k but you are severely retarded if you think you can actually cut down the costs on a hospital doing open heart surgeries in kids to a "reasonable" amount a normal person could pay

natural selection is great
strength is to be celebrated
weakness is to be discouraged

Seriously just fucking ship all chronically ill people off please. They are never going to be productive and will be draining your tax dollars for the rest of their lives.

I wonder if in the future hospital spree killing events will become popular as the government proves unable to legislate away the heavy problems caused by pharma monopolies

>Canadians BTFO

And they should be forced to pay anyway because your a fucking bleeding heart.

I love how everyone would rather bitch about health care coverage, when the health care bills shouldn't be this outrageous to begin with. 22k, 47k, 42k, 40k, completely ridiculous. There's absolutely no reason a hospital visit is over a thousand.

>$500 for a open heart surgery

That's a nice deal

>i am a car when you hit me in parking lot please drive away because i still owe deductibles no matter what happens
>where did all this debt and fatness come from?
Look at all those duplications. Echo cardiology. Cardiac care. Cardiology care. And sterility. And other supplies i guess not sterile. And this and that. How is salt water $280 again? You know it's wrong. This is usury and degeneracy of the highest regard. What about million dollar snake bite boy. In america you get no time off. Shit out a baby? Nobody cares. Rear ended in an accient? Get fired. No insurance? Public execution

>aol.com

AOL is still a thing? sheeit

>be brit
>go to nhs
>at best get paracetamol for each and errything
>sovetsky soyuz, da!

Why should there be "no reason" for a hospital bill to be that high? Do you realize how many costs a hospital has to keep it running?

he should die...he's not genetically fit to survive

learn to read, you stupid fucking nigger

Ayn rand's social security was extra tasty

>most recent open heart surgery
As sad as it is, maybe it's just not meant to be. As a parent, you do what you can, but when you start dragging down others along with you, sympathy goes out the door.

>open heart surgery cost as much as an Xbox

What a world

This isent vidya you fucking reptile

>subway
>minimum wage
>how'd they get the loans? Inheritances?
>muh cucumbers muh fluorescent lights
>goes bankrupt anyways
>how many $5 minimum wage sandwiches made per hour and what is the mark up?
>thirty cents in soy bean wood pulp "chicken"
>10K profit in an hour maybe with only a couple workers and $15 in costs pretty much
>MUH REVENUE
It's running a lemonade stand or a computer game. Same thing

this

She is being asked to pay 500 dollars for her child. She could step down of her fucking smart phone data plan for a year, and use a flip phone, and still exist if she had no money for anything but the phone she seems to use.

Fuck these people. I am sorry that the kid's parents are so damn selfish.

>Private insurance made her pay only $500

What's this trying to prove?

>rent is 600 bux for a shitbox apartment for 1 month

>rent is 22,000 bux for less than a month in a hospital bed

I know, lets make the tax payer subsidize this and all our problems will be solved!

>500$ for open heart surgey
Whats the problem?

No wonder India took over UK economically and America is a developing country now. So much for first world. Fattest people think they dont need hospitals if they get skinny. What a world

So this lady's beef is that new health care bill will allow insurance companies to add lifetime caps?

Why not just not implement the lifetime cap, but allow the insurance company to charge them 20% of the total bill or something like that, instead of just paying a $500 copay. That's just nuts.

Insurance is about shielding and protecting you from unexpected risk. You pay into it in case your house catches fire, or your car gets smashed by someone else, or you get cancer and require expensive treatment.

Just doesn't seem fair that someone with a previous known medical condition should be allowed to get insurance, though. Those are not unexpected expenses. It flies in the face of the whole idea behind insurance. All the other policyholders are basically just subsidizing these peoples treatments. Sounds harsh, but yeah.

>Room and board is 22k

DAMN, for laying in a hospital bed in a room with a basic tv and standup shower bathroom? 22k would pay my rent for 2 years.

Yeah it's called irony and it works also what are taxes and etc etc. Study the numbers dont just make excuses

>pay 500 dollars

Maybe I'm missing something but that's nothing.

>all these fags that don't realize that she has fucked herself and her fellow employees because their premiums are going to go up
>it's not just her fault, every single person working under that insurance plan probably does the same shit.
>They all go to the doctor over the littlest shit, and their Employer only pays for so much coverage
>if what they spend is greater than that coverage amount, guess what? enjoy an extra 100 bucks per month on your insurance every month, and that number only goes up
>because doctors will keep billing you the absolute maximum amount if you have 'full coverage'

y'all niggas need an HSA

>Whats the problem?
I am not sure either. That seems like a very reasonable deductible. A family of 4 with a $25 deductible can spend half that easily in a year.

Don't most of the nurses that take care of you get paid like $10/hour too? kek. Probably what a maid at Holiday Inn gets.

Hospital bills are nuts, no doubt about it.

What they dont show you is McBeetus and his 4 heart operations taking up all the insurance money.

You arent smart enough to post here, leave

Don't have children if you cannot afford to take care of them.

Too poor for kids? Too bad.

If you have any smarts at all, you can work your way out of poverty. Then have all the kids you want.

The rest of the world shouldn't be obligated to take care of you if you and your family are not able to do so.

You are ranked like 52nd on this for a reason

Not so fast you silly yank
:^)

>HSA
Money you contribute that's tax free towards costs

How the fuck does that make sense?

Not to mention 10 and hour won't even cover the all the adderall they need to buy to get through their crazy long shifts.

Can someone tell me how healthcare isn't a basic human right? Because I fail to see how it isn't. If the rich paid their fair share of taxes, we wouldn't have these endless bipartisan issues with healthcare.

A million times this. It makes more sense to let them go and try again. If you can't make viable offspring then too fucking bad, you were never meant to have kids.

how much should it be? I'm sure you got the pricing model nailed down. pls share

US always gets knocked down in these for "accessibility." If you have insurance or are wealthy, the care you can buy is top notch (for a $200k hospital bill, I'd damn well hope it is). But for the average person who may not be able to afford it, care is more shit.

No, Whites should have tons of kids and collect welfare and let the precious immigrants take care of them.

This kid will never contribute to society. Why should society contribute to prolonging its useless suffering? Defective children should be put down. Parents should keep trying to produce strong, healthy children; if they cannot, that isn't society's fault.

ITT Americans are fucked in the ass by their medical bills and demand for bigger dildos.

>go to hospital
>they treat you
>give you bill in the mail
>throw that shit away
>just hope they forget about you and go to another hospital next time

that or make sure you have no ID on you at all, or a burner ID. That's what the mexicans do.

So... Is she saying the $500 is too much or her private insurance will change?

It's a commodity you fucking idiot just like water.

you put money into an account designated for medical care. comes with a lower monthly premium, but you are responsible for more of your own medical expenses.

BONUS: choose to pay those expenses out of pocket and reimburse yourself from the HSA later

for example, i'm a person who can pay for the cost of a doctors visit, let's say it's 75 bucks.

i save every reciept for my doctors visits until a day when i get a wild hair up my ass to get my money back.
Call up HSA custodian, ask for reimbursement for all (x) amount of claims, profit.

DOUBLE BONUS: acts as a retirement account that you can draw from after a certain age

>INB4 made up bullshit Aetna disavows
Even if its real Obamacare did fuck all to help her, no way are you getting 99.9% coverage based on basic government care, these people are trying to take credit for their 3000 a month plan, fuck off.

>french being fucked in the ass by muhammed and demand for more of them
I actually feel pretty damn good right now...

all doctors take a day off.
you are now oppressing my RIGHT to doctor services
>buh buh muh lawyers and judges
they take a day off on federal holidays

he has a confederate flag, I'm surprised he knows how to get online.

>87k
>Open heart surgery
>Pays 500
>TRUMP IS A BAD GUY

>Meanwhile with Obama in office
>Did you have Obamacurr
>Nope
>Did you have any health insurance
>Nope
>Say goodbye to your tax return

What am I looking at for my 24,000 dollar bone removal surgery? Maybe I can finally get it now after 12 years.

That's because medical "insurance" hasn't been insurance since the 1940's. It''s a third-party payer working under more and more government mandates.

funny, i work for aetna. if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

>500 dollars is expensive

Forgetting the "Pay $500"...
These prices are fucking ridiculous and I'm fucking mad. Hospitals don't deserve this shit.

>child
>most recent open heart surgery
>most recent

that kid was going to die anyway.

500 for a heart upgrade sounds like a good deal

It's too easy

This is the reason we have such a weak global society. We coddle the lame. We keep people on life support for years. We babysit the retarded.

If you cannot afford to purchase healthcare, then find a better job that will allow you to do so. I'm sick of footing the bill for people who would better serve the greater good lying six feet under.

Why are insurance companies paying the hospital directly? The hospital didn't buy the insurance.

I actually work at a hospital, these charges are inflated by 10x what they should cost and I don't believe they are real

FUCK
>1 post by this ID on OP
Pic related.

desu 500 isn't even that much. Even some of the most poorest saps in the u.s if they have a brain can scrape aside 500 bucks for a safety cushion in payments With me i always worry my car could break down or come into a fatal crash. Granted it probably could be lower or even zero but when compared to the horror stories of people having to pay an arm and a leg of 5k medical bills why is this end of the world for this said person?

We're getting a thread going

>no id's on threads except cute little PNG's

Furthermore, the cat scan is cheaper than the chest xray. You can't expect people to believe this is a real bill. sage

>if you have any questions, feel free to ask.

Is it true hospitals basically concoct fantasy numbers and it's then just a battle between them and insurance companies to settle for a "real" amount that's actually much lower?

Is this why people are advised to just negotiate payment as if it's a haggling bazaar instead of a hospital bill?

I had nose my nose reconstructed and aligned after breaking it. Private hospital, top of the line equipment, physicians so good the royal family of Liechtenstein fly here by plane just to be treated there.

It involved two surgery departments collaborating (plastic surgeon and otorhinolaryngologist) because I wanted them to fix it all in a single go, including past problems.

Total 2,500€.

I fucking love Europe. (To make it even more ridiculous, private insurance paid 80% of it).
Your healthcare providers have really gone wild over there. Every time I replaced the bandage I had to pay 50€ for the "service" (again, insurance covered live 35€) because even bandaids are individually paid for by the patient. Nothing justifies 200,000.00$ for a single surgery. Here open heart would probably run at about 15,000.00€ to 40,000.00€ before insurance.

>Upside down sight block.
My weapons autism is off the charts right now. Literally shaking.

This is a bill for services, not a death warrant. How is this child going to die exactly?

America is already way too socialist, if a few kids have to die to make it better. Well, I'm just glad they're not mine.

Her problem is with states being able to set lifetime caps on insurance payouts. It is $500 now, but once this little genetic misfit reaches the cap she would have to pay out of pocket for the entire bill.
