What Does Pol Think of the New Deal?

If you cant talk about it then you shouldnt be talking about politics

Raw deal was better.

Teddy was more effective and breaking up the monopolies and trusts and was a bull moose republican

Incorrectly credited with ending the great depression, creating the flimsy foundation the entire economy is based off of since.

New Deal fixed nothing. It planted seeds for all future problems.
New Deal DIDN'T "work" until WWII.
Turns out war profiteering is better than communist programs.

it was WWII that ended it

and Europe loosing its manufacturing base

Yeah being the only place in the world not bombed to shit was a pretty big help, not giving poors and olds money.

i think its pretty old lol

but was that what really happened?

social security was established, but the notion of just handing out money on the streets is something of urban ledgend, the new deal expected work in return through various governmnet agencies aid to states and businesses

Some parts are fine (FDIC).
Other parts were ass (social security).
Some were okay but not very effectual (CCC).

It was kind of a nice try, and SS wasn't too bad, but it was basically a scam and only worked well in the short term. It's kinda funny how people try and deny this when it initially wasn't meant to kick in until you would most likely be dead.

Most of the New Deal isn't relevant anymore though. Once you get past social security, it significantly drops in relevance.

Its sad pol doesnt know or care enough about the New Deal to comment on it

you guys have no Idea how much the New Dea; still divides people in DC

...

literally communism

well played

bump

either you care about the new deal or STFU about socialists and democrat policies

Was FDR like Bernie?

Started us down the welfare slide we're on now. Back then people at least had the pride to go out and work, now niggers just see it as "Free Gibs Fo No Job"

A Marxist trojan horse. Worst presidency ever.

some new deal programs were great. The CCC put people to work, earning a meager paycheck, but a paycheck nonetheless. No sitting at home collecting benefits, these fuckers were digging ditches, building roads, planting forests. Hard work for shit pay, but it was better than your family starving.

The WPA put men to work as well, building buildings, roads, and they even took "artists" and had them designing artwork to promote National Landmark. These posters are worth a fortune today.

Far, far worse.

No. FDR put nips in concentration camps lmao.

Fun fact, Jimmy "George Washington Carver's Massa" Carter is none other Eleanor "Jimmy Carter" Roosevelt.

The Roosevelts were fucking based. One genocided indians, the other put american nips in concentration camps. Fucking hilarious.

>sweden
>FDR socialism

makes sense
