How do we deal with the plastic problem?

Soon this garbage will fill up the entire world, all the oceans, and fish will be part flesh, part plastic. How do we cleanse the Earth of this disgusting problem?

Ecoterrorism?

Nuke China?

Build a cannon that shoots trash into space?

Maybe the yogis will turn it into chocolate cake if we ask nicely

send it to space/Africa

we can't. it will stop when we stop our way of life (IE the large civilizations of earth die off). EU and north america produce a small amount when compared to asia. a lot of the humans who create plastic need to die, and then it will be OK. nature will find a way.

>we can't

Said the capitalist Jew subhuman. WE can do whatever we find the strength to do.

>the large civilizations of earth

A civilization that has no readily available running water is no civilization at all. Do you even aqueducts, Jew?

Evolution will eventually devise a way for this huge resource to be used and it will be integrated into the ecosystem.

Just like literally every single waste product of every organism ever. Oxygen was once a toxic byproduct to life.

I don't understand why used plastic can't be just melted and re-molded instead of having it accumulate uselessly.

www.nasa.gov/mission_pages/station/news/orbital_debris.html
evolution is too long of a process to be a solution
melted plastic releases cancer-causing fumes

The trash should be shot out with escape velocity, so it would fly away.

...

It literally decays in sunlight. Floating in the ocean is the best possible place for it to decompose into biomatter. There are bacteria evolving to eat the shit because there's so much available.

phys.org/news/2016-03-newly-bacteria-plastic-bottles.html

LIFE GOES ON

Depending on the plastic, it can. Many companies are actually seguing towards reusing plastic. Once you have the capital and infrastructure (both as in the literal machines to do it and the bureaucratic and communal systems necessary to actually get the waste plastic to you) it's actually less costly than buying new plastic in some markets; it's sort of similar how some areas have found it cheaper to just melt down existing car parts and remake them than to buy new metal and make the new parts.

The problem is that it is not economical to do so in EVERY market. It costs money to buy the machines and money to power them (No matter what you do, you need to heat the plastic; industrial heating costs money). Likewise, oil and natural gas companies do NOT like the idea of reusing plastic as plastic is derived from petroleum products. Finally, not all types of plastic can be recycled. Here in America if you look on plastic containers you can find a number in the recycling-arrow-triangle. This tells you what type of plastic it is. Most of these plastics can be recycled in some way, but some can't; some just burn when you heat them, or you can't melt them back into shape without them suffering structural faults. In those cases you could just burn them and use catalytic processes to reconvert the CO2 back into hydrocarbons but the oil companies that own the patents to the more efficient catalytic processes will never give them up and the less efficient ones are hilariously expensive.

And that's in America. In China they just don't give a fuck. "Caring about the environment" is something Whites and our Non-White Friend-Races care about, no one else.

Frankly, what we need to do is move away from disposable plastic and disposable goods entirely. Look at all those water bottles the chink is raking in OP's pic. How many water bottles have you thrown away in your lifetime? Why not just have a thermos, or a canteen?

Don't see how that could evolutionally spiral out of control..

>sending matter to space
NO. That's a terrible idea. Not only do we lose precious matter here on Earth (THAT WE CAN'T GET BACK) but it'll just burn up in the atmosphere and add to said atmosphere, exacerbating other problems.

Not all kinds of bacteria, there's not enough of the bacteria that do it, and not all kinds of plastic.

Recycling plastic isn't the answer. It's something we should do, but it's trying to bail out a boat with a hole in it; ultimately it's only an answer to the question of "How can I have cheap disposable goods without having to pay the price for them?" and the answer is: You can't.

No. In the process of breaking down the pieces become small enough to kill fish trying to feed on Plankton and shit.

Why not just burn it for fuel?

>DDT
>Highly toxic
You can eat DDT. It is classified as "mildly toxic" because of long term chronic effects that are slightly androantagonistic (not estrogenic tho) in humans. If you drink beer, that has a stronger effect on your androgen balance.

One is enough once it gets there. It will thrive on the infinite food we provide, and form a new ecosystem. Virtually all organisms with a specific trait come from a single parent mutation holding said trait.

The fact that we see a few species doing it now means there will be a biological explosion of them over the next century or so. Considering the minor effects of this pollution, we can afford to wait that long.

Tell 3rd worlders to use bio degradable plastics instead otherwise no more aid.

>Don't see how that could evolutionally spiral out of control..
It can, but evolution is unstoppable, we can make it help up this case

>california is literally garbage
>japan is literally garbage

One, plastics burn like shit. Two, it pumps out CO2 into the air which is not only bad in the long run but is also hilariously wasteful. Three, most plastics produce absolutely awful waste products when they incompletely pyrolyze (that is, don't burn to CO2) which is absolutely awful to inhale.

It would be taking three steps back from coal in every way.

>Why not just burn it for fuel?
murican educ.....
Fuck it I literally don't care

>WE can do whatever we find the strength to do.

>WE

Ah, yes, I'd lik to see you coordinate your anti-plastic efforts with China, India, Europe, South America and Africa. I'm sure you'll be able to reason with them in order to get your goal of 100% plastic recycling! Enjoy your delusion, faggot! After all, WE are a single species and WE will work together for one united, recycling-friendly world!

pic related: you're selfie

we engineer a bacteria to break down plastic

American Jew capitalist scumbags are to blame for this. Having clean water available through pipes (aka modern aqueducts) in every home and building is just such communism, huh? Dindu nuffin corporations should be allowed to sell water in plastic bottles for inflated prices? It's all on you, kiked nation number one. Apologise.

just recycle it :)

Those "Gyre" are a complete meme btw.

Yes there is plastic in the oceans.
But it doesn't accumulate in some magical places, it just spreads out - which is actually worse.

As long as there are no environmental factors that make genes that can be harmful to humans advantageous, we should be fine

You do know burning garbage (including plastic) to generate electricity is exactly what developed countries do.......right?

I know you would post that. Not obvious enough that I mean the white race, huh? As in the only people who truly care about the planet? Jew capitalist brainwashing is the only thing stopping white people from making things right, and punishing every sinner against God and the Earth.

>polyester
you wear it. it's an industry

even if it does work, its a terrible source of energy compared to other methods.
Nuclear fusion is the way to go
spacesafetymagazine.com/space-on-earth/everyday-life/china-helium-3-program/

>plastics burn like shit.

No they don't.
They burn better than most garbage.

>it pumps out CO2 into the air which is not only bad in the long run but is also hilariously wasteful.

It's no worse than burning coal or natural gas to generate electricity.

>most plastics produce absolutely awful waste products when they incompletely pyrolyze (that is, don't burn to CO2) which is absolutely awful to inhale.

Which is exactly why garbage plants clean the exhausts fumes instead of just releasing them into the atmosphere.

They are usually less toxic than typical coal plants.

>its a terrible source of energy

What else do you suggest we do with our garbage?
We can't just dump it in landfills like the 3rd world.

Harvest it from the oceans.

>he fell for the meme

lol

Clone giant whales to eat the fuck out of the garbage.

I don't really care.

Easy. Stop making so much plastic.

>What else do you suggest we do with our garbage?
>We can't just dump it in landfills like the 3rd world.

GUN. SHOOT. SPACE. NOW.

So instead of using it to generate power.

We burn a multitude of some other fuel to generate enough power to shoot it into space?

.....right.

leave earth you dumb fucking nigger

>Nuke China?
>caring about the environment
>using nukes
Is this a troll thread?

>How do we cleanse the Earth of this disgusting problem?

Jews aren't made of plastic, fuck you.

stick it in abandoned mines. duh

Existing problem is near impossible to solve.
But for the future, most bottles can be made from biodegradable plastic instead of polyethylene.

Lol, this is exactly the type of Jew capitalist kvetching that will destroy this corrupt "human race".

Turn it into oil.

20,000 plastic bottles equals a barrel of oil.

Ban soda and all other soft drinks

Make floating cities out of recycled plastic and then ship the refugees out to sea

This is the only thing I've read that is a legitimate solution

Turn them into bricks......they last supposedly 400 years. There is a guy already doing it

This has been figured out man.

Use hemp for plastic. You can thank DuPont and DOW for pushing this shit on us and making hemp plastics illegal only because they already had this all researched out and didn't want to lose millions of dollars.

Stop purchasing consumables that use plastic packaging.

That might help but then again I assume I am speaking to white people on this board and any good we can do for conservation on this world is easily made redundant by the unwashed masses.

So who cares would be my sentiment.

Thermal plastic vs thermal set. All recyclable plastic is thermal plastic meaning it can be melted down and used again. However the bonds within the plastic will slowly break down until it will not have the characteristics required. This is why most recycled items contain a percentage of used plastic. Also if you see the words "industrially recyclable that means they just burn it.

Recycling is expensive. So the Chinese do what they always do cheap the fuck out.

Daily reminder that capitalism, liberalism and democracy were created by whites

Net it up and process it into new plastic.

Problem solved.

Actually there's a bacteria that eats petrol residues, it was the first patented lifeform.

>Ecoterrorism?
>Nuke China?
>Build a cannon that shoots trash into space?
Simpleton solutions, are you 8 years old? Plastic is a fantastic resource even when used. Just get people to stop tossing it everywhere, sort it and deposit it in the right bins. Problem solved. There's already plenty of businesses who pay decent for sorted plastic.
The problem, as always, is not the problem (plastic) but the real problem, people, always people.

>Why not just burn it for fuel?
We can and do all over the world.

Municipal garbage is burned to save on space in landfills all over.

The actual combustion process is nasty and highly corrosive but with properly designed furnaces it's normal operating. The energy recovery is generally very mild, not profitable. However cities pay them to take in garbage so it's economical. (ie cheaper than using landfills).

The problem with plastic isn't developed world municipal garbage. It's the developing world throwing trash everywhere and letting it blow or float into the ocean.

dump it in africa

Change should happen on the producer's side, not the consumer's. Corporations should be forced to do whatever the Nation requires. Simple solution: an order could be placed to execute every 5th manager of such a harmful corporation as Coca-Cola. In a strong white nation, anything would be possible...

Or we could melt it all down into bricks and build houses from it

>The problem, as always, is not the problem (plastic) but the real problem, people, always people.

*Nonwhite people (includes Americans)

The problem is that plastic is so cheap when compared to paper and other materials. The only way to reduce the amount of plastics in items that don't need it (packaging, grocery bags, etc.) is through government regulation imo.

put it thru a shredder and add it to concrete mix, then start using hemp biodegradables and employ some more farmers

Throw it in volcanos

>invented capitalism
>invented the industrial revolution and plastic
>developed countries have higher consumption and thereby produce way more waste per capita than non-white trashholes
Whites cause all of the problems and then blame other races like the pale niggers they are. Pathetic.
