Depends where you go in PA. Pittsburgh, Philly, and living in the City of Harrisburg are a no no. Every couple years we get hit by a big Northeastern around January. Pot holes are common and depending where you go some brick sideways are not lined up with the road.
Suburb areas tend to be good, but a bunch of liberals from North Carolina have been moving in for the past decade or so. Also PA has recently passed a bill that hurts the few sanctuary cites. Great gun selections but limited beer and firework selection but that is slowly changing.
I would recommend central PA since all the dindus and chinks live on the other side of the river. Winters tend to be tame unless a big Northeastern comes through. Hershey brings in big events and celebrities now and then.
