I spoke with my pastor today about this, couldn't convince him. I'll send him some things to watch and pray the Lord stirs the holy spirit in him to take note. I know how easy it is to brush these things off as doomsday prophesying or conspiracy theories, but I genuinely don't want to see people I know burning. Really I don't want to see anyone burn, I want them to see the error of their ways and behold the glory of God's kingdom. But I know many won't and it absolutely crushes me.

So as a lay Christian (believe, but don't regularly go to church), is there anything I should do to better myself as a person and Christian? Aside from regular churchgoing, that is. Gonna work on that.
I'm kinda the "crazy" / "tinfoil" one in my family, but they usually pay attention when I speak, funny enough, I'm like John the Baptist (the look of a madman, live in the desert, I'm always talking about Gods coming, even have had *hopefully will continue to have* prophetic dreams)
Yet, with all my crazy looking behavior/actions/speech, my family pays attention, it helps that we were raised Christian. I'd rather be wrong and keep the on their toes, than be right and never have warned them

You don't have to literally eat or drink anything for Daily Communion, but it is a good guideline.
It is important to read your Bible cover-to-cover in the Spirit. Reading God's Word is the primary way that God speaks to all of us. At the same time, you will learn more about God's character and His Ways.
Repenting sins is important, confess and repent. Stop sinning. Forgive others as God will forgive you. God knows you aren't perfect, that you have faults. He looks at the heart not on the outside and knows if you are trying your best. That's what He cares.
Praying is very important as well. He listens, and sees when you get inside your prayer closet to seek Him out.
Again, you need to be reading your Bible cover-to-cover. I cannot stress this enough. God Bless.

Is salvation a process or an event?
Should I get baptized, as in is it important for salvation? Some Bible phrases imply it's needed, but others imply it's not.

Being justified is a process. The salvation itself is an event.
Explain to me
You need baptism to receive the holy spirit. Otherwise you remain in a state of 'original sin', meaning a state of initial separation between you and God. Consider baptism to be like a formal introduction between you and your creator.
We are saved by grace through faith. We do this by believing upon the Name of Jesus and what He did for us on the Cross.
When you believe in your heart Jesus Christ is Lord, you receive the indwelling of the Holy Spirit. You are saved. However, you are a baby Christian.
Jesus talks about many parables in the Bible of the lazy servant or the seed that couldn't grow any roots and fizzled away. Many baby Christians fall away from God, either through the cares of the world, blaspheming the Holy Spirit, etc. There is a reason why Jesus also gave the parable of the prodigal son, those are for Christians who fell away and are backslidden, but are returning to Jesus.
Faith without works is dead. It really isn't hard being a Christian. Jesus said, my yoke is easy and my burden is light, I am lowly and meek in Heart. You need to repent sins, read your Bible cover-to-cover with the force and power of the Holy Spirit (else you're reading alongside the devil who will warp God's Word), and pray. This needs to become a part of your life.
Finally, sin is what separates us from God. Adam disobeyed God and was kicked out of the Garden and died. Sin has consequences and can also be generational. This is why we all have inherited Adam's original sin for example. There may some more specific to your family. Once you have repented of your sins and walk in Christ's Footsteps, you can start to finally hear from God through the unction of the Holy Spirit. We all have gifts from God that He desires us to use in order to bring fruits for His Kingdom. Some will speak in tongues, others will prophecy, others will perform miracles, others may teach or preach, so on and so forth.
However, for now, remember to read your Bible cover-to-cover in the Spirit. This is the primary way that God speaks to us. Faith without works is dead. God Bless.

Faith in God means trusting his promises and staying true to his law, not merely a belief in his existence.
Justification is the process beginning at conversion and baptism where we, through the grace of the Holy Spirit, endeavour to follow God's law and become more his servant. It's a process of repentance and confession, reconciliation and charity. We constantly fall, but try to get better every time we get up again. It's a constant process because we're aiming for the perfection of Christ and can never get close to achieving it in life.
Salvation is dying in a state of grace in communion with God and his Church. It's the final yes/no as to whether we're recognised as faithful servants of God.
Well I'm on phone so I can't run through definitions with you but there are three known forms of Baptism. Baptism by Water, by Blood, and by Desire. The third is considered the case of the thief Dismas. Especially given his plea to Jesus when Jesus comes to Heaven.
