Yes, the boy was mentally ill and was emotionally blackmailing or pressuring her or whatever. He did not seek the proper help he needed and for a while she was very patient with him.
But instead of contacting authorities to step in or seeking a doctor for him, she just had a female-equivalent to chimping out and told him to just do it, and he did. She was in a position where she could have legitimately helped him and did not do it, therefore she is indirectly responsible for his death and will still be punished by the law anyways.

Not true, the judge even said if he had just stayed in the truck, which she had knowledge of, then it all would have been entirely his fault.
