>tfw everyone looks so much happier
>everyone is naive and innocent

I want to go back to the 90s before the (((internet))).

I feel bad for the kid in the blue tie-dye shirt. It's obvious nobody likes him and also I bet he smells really bad.

Zero tolerance policies took over and a lot of innocent kids became angrier than they already were. School in general became shittier. Bush's last few years in office were the beginning of the end.

We had a big assembly to talk about it. I went to a MASSIVE school (graduated with 1000+ kids). Basically, they told us there was no need to worry, but that if something did happen, to run--and, I shit you not--zigzag.

Half my school was dindus, who were a lot more passive back then (if you don't remember before Obama, they used to just quietly fail and would only have fights among themselves, in their weird cliques/protogangs).

It was a totally different world, though. 9/11 was the big one, that really changed my whole school's culture. That's when we started getting bomb threats and shit every couple of weeks.

The only noticeable difference after Columbine was that trench coats were banned, and a lot of my friends were taken to the school social worker over the next few months. They never picked me for any head shrinking. Maybe because I was actually drunk from 10th grade through senior year, and was too quiet to get into any trouble.

And there they are

exact song that came to mind lol

quiet kids was left alone for a while....

I was in high school at the time.

I remember CNN ran this interview with a girl that had been there. And she was crying and screamed "I thought this sort of thing in happens in the south!" The reporter just pretended she didn't say it. It made me think these cunts deserved what happened to them. She literally insulted half of the country for no reason. Stupid slut should have taken one to the head.

But at school no one cared or talked about it.

People had a much bigger reaction to the Oklahoma bombing.

I graduated HS in 1997. You were allowed to pick on goths. Pussy flowed like wine. Niggers were laughed at but a small minority of druggies liked their rap. Basically amazing.

I wonder how many people in this pic got shot

Not a single girl is dressed like a cheap hooker in a training bra and yoga pants like the typical highschool girl today.

Me too i was fucking pissed man i was just trying to look like chow yun fat

The Jaguars wtf guy is in this pic. Can you find him?

I had long hair, wore black tshirts, and carried my school stuff in a small duffel bag.

People thought I was some psycho that wanted to shoot up the school, and even reported me. Sucked.

The girl front and center in black has tits the size of beach balls

The internet did really ruin everything if you really think about it.

I think this is him.

How?

If you werent alive and old enough at the time to see the difference now you wouldnt understand.

Explain it to me then. I was born in '98.

My elementary school used to have a civil war reenactment for the 5th graders. My brother was actually gearing up to be a confederate soldier, pretty much everything was ready to go.

But Columbine happened, and this was in Colorado so they stopped doing the reenactment, and never did it again

My school had a shooting two years prior. I was a freshman when that happened. Walked right by it and then it happened. Then columbine happened that next school year. Pretty crazy times.

My parents thought I had been shot bc I never showed up to my first class as i was pulled into a room by a teacher bc I was right by the shooting.

Remember when cool kids wore the white sports hats? If you wore a "morehead" or "cocks" one you were the king of the school.

>get bullied in school
>columbine happens
>bullies friends now pull them back saying things like "dude what if he comes after us?"
>teachers now take bullies aside and mutter things like "our school wont be next"
>never bullied again

thanks dylan and eric!

I wore a dirt bags hat. Still my favorite hat to this day. Lost it at a 311 concert. It still hurts me.

So much goood times in that hat. Almost makes me tear up

Shit, I need to see if I can find another one bring back those sports hats

we need a new columbine, but in a massive scale

No difference at all. Business as usual.

>t. 9th grader in '99

I was in HS. I remember they placed teachers who were on their off period at doors. Like that would stop someone with guns.

Well sonny, Porno used to be filthy and unacceptable socailly. It came in magazines and to be seen with one would have been socially devastating. Also we werent able to get ahold of anyone,if you werent home or at your desk they had to call later, or leave a message - with a physical human who answered the phone. Also stores used to be closed sunday and banks and such were closed all weekend. If it was saturday and you had no cash, tough shit, you had to wait. We had discipline back then. Tiger woods first qualified for the masters and there was some question as to weather the members woudl let him play. And when he won there was question of if he would be allowed in teh clubhouse for the champions dinner.

Also, inbox and outboxes used to be phisical boxes on your desk beside typewriter in which people would place incoming and outgoing pieces of paper. When we needed a drink of water you just asked for it, anywhere, like at a store or gas station, and they would give it to you. We used payphones and letters to communicate. The christian hold on society was still intact at that time.

I really feel bad for you kids. You've never known the world without the Internet. You missed a nice time

I remember catching a lot of unwanted attention after columbine because I was the class "problem child."

shit sucked.

fucking hot

Ah the 90's. Thank God I spent my teen years in a somewhat healthier society. It was still a little fucked up though but nothing close to this shithole today.

Trenchcoats were banned the next day at my school. When a student wore one the day after a student asked if the teacher was afraid he had a gun. He reached in his jacket and pulled out his hands pointed as guns and pretended to fire. He was expelled. That year they also hired a full time police officer to work at the school and installed cameras in every hallway. Later A&E had an investigative report that featured my highschool class and compared it to the class of Columbine.

I remember they were rounding up kids that allegedly had 'kill lists'

i was born into this shit
when i first began a teen it was during the minecraft autism wave and things were pretty calm, but in a few short months the shit hit the fan and everyone and everything was racist or fascist

god damn thats depressing, i really do feel sorry for anyone that had to grow up a child in the 2000s

Fake and gay. This is from a movie called "Zero Day".

Sega/Nintedno wars*

these days when kids first find the internet and media, all these ideas are thrusted apon them and they either choose to be a washed over pc libtard or they get called a Nazi and labeled a fascist

rateplz

I was expelled from middle school because I would joke about it and joke about having a hit list. I also wore a Hot Topic Trench.

>They blame it on Marilyn
>And the heroin
>Where were the parents at?
>And look where it's at
>Middle America
>Now it's a tragedy
>Now it's so sad to see
>In upper-classity
>Havin' this happen
>Then attack Eminem 'cause I rap this way

You don't even know son. The bullshit was next level, but nowadays we would call it Tuesday.

>kid with a Neurosis shirt near the top left
noice

Then again there's shit I'm glad we got rid of. Like 128x skip protection on portable CD players. Didn't matter how high the number got. It all fucking skipped constantly. Cassettes were so much better.

WHAT THE FUCK CAPTCHA?
THAT'S A FUCKING EXTINGUISHER

It was the end of innocence for a lot people in our generation.

Some children died the other day. We fed machines, and then we prayed.

Is this OC? 10/10

lol only difference was you needed 50$ of batteries with you if you wanted to turn on your skip protection. Remember all the batteries we used to have

>Tiger woods first qualified for the masters and there was some question as to weather the members woudl let him play. And when he won there was question of if he would be allowed in teh clubhouse for the champions dinner.
dude what

>OC
adventure time

First time I noticed that ahegao at the top left.

Yes because Augusta was a private club and golf was still a gentlemans game in those days there was question if the memebers comittee would bar woods from playing. Rules at the club prohibited blacks and women from being in the clubhouse i believe and some members of the comitte were upset at having a colored in the clubhouse. Players like Vijay Singh were different becasue they were foreign and not american nigs, who were banned. Remember, golf used to be a quiet fringe sport before woods brought in all the loud fans.

This is fake footage from a movie

There was a black golfer in the 60s, charlie sifford, who qualified for augusta but never actually played or went there becasue they wouldnt have allowed him in those days.

things was different user

the jews hadnt tainted us and media wasnt pozzed

its like i woke up one day and all this trans shit was everywhere,i dont belong here,i want to go back

remember when it was popular for politicians to oppose gay marriage

remember when you would see a black man on the street and could approach him asking to see his free man certificate and if he could not present such then you could take him back to your plantation, ah those were the days

Not a single black person

Dear Millenials,

Nirvana was great, but silverchair was also a pretty decent grunge act. We also had a band called the presidents of the united states of america who were kind of grungy too.

Yours Truly

John Shitpostman

Remember when California voted against gay marriage and then it didn't fucking matter?

Bottled water was in its infancy in those days my friend.

Remember when the democrats used to be the ones pushing a secure border and economic protectionism from NAFTA, and the republicans were the neocons in favor of looser immigration and free trade

>columbine fascinates me to no end.

Read the true crime book. It's great.

nobody ever wants to remember silverchair with me :(

>be qt
>above average intelligence
>actively involved in music, drama, and debate
>wholesome sense of humor
>devoted to God, belong to three churches
>write to God in your diaries about changing the world through simple acts of love and kindness
>popular, but don't attend parties because you don't want to succumb to the temptation of alcohol
>have one bf but end the relationship because concerned it will develop physically
>write an essay titled "My Ethics, My Codes of Life" outlining your strong belief in virtues like forgiveness, loving, helping, leadership, mercy, and kindness
>be eating lunch with a friend on the grass
>get shot in the head by some beta virgin faggot
>last entry in my journal is a self-portrait of my own eyes
>there are 13 tears
>beta virgin faggots kill 12 other students that day
>be literally chosen by God

these faggots killed /ourgirl/

She sounds far too good for any of us, desu

Look at that nice, White high school

I graduated in 99. Everything went on as normal, and we all joked with the guy that always wore a trenchcoat not to piss him off

wait til tomorrow, you fat fuck

Look how white that school is. You'll never find a school that white today. Even in Europe.

Oh shit I forgot about her. Damn

this is an early 90's college party:

>get a few kegs, some cards, some dice and beirut table.
>people start showing up at 9. beirut begins, drinking games, maybe a little weed. 3 hours of pearl jam, nirvana, metallica, green day
>midnight - disco ball goes on. snoop... dr dre for 2 hours. people getting really wasted, some hooking up.
>no smartphones. if you can't talk to other humans, you stand in corner staring at beer.
>about 3 am - everyone kicked out.

I was in high school when it occurred. Our school cracked down on anyone who "looked different". A close friend was expelled, he often dressed in boots and a long duster jacket. Another student lied about a perceived threat and my Buddy got the boot. I was expelled the following fall as I was a general mischief maker. Basically a big crack down on anyone who could be perceived as a potential threat.

in the 90s, college was for learning and the drinking and partying that went on was secondary. Now its the main focus.

>2000
>can expel children from school for looking different
>2017
>can't ban terrorists because muh feelings
wew lad

I remember there was quite a panic at the time. Every weird kid and loner (basically pol) was suspect, when normally they were just totally ignored.

A lot of hate for Manson & the NRA

Also changed the way cops deal with said situations. At Columbine they were told to secure the perimeter & didn't go in until hours after the shooting started

both by liberals. now you're getting a glimpse of the crazy.

Dress code was updated, video games were scrutinized. Kids who got mad and said, "I wish X were dead" were arrested. Schools made useless anti-taunting pledges and anti-bullying campaigns that did nothing to stop us from calling each other faggots, except that now we teased one another about shooting the school up.

I do lol yep the republicans were "all owned by big business that wants lower tax a cheap labor" and they still are. But now democrats see how it works for them too.

And now you know why the border was never secured.

Its the same scheme here except without mexicans. All the immigrants we let in tend to vote for the liberlas, so they keep letting them in by the boatload to vote for them.
