How can we force Millenials to be frugal?

They can't expect to save for a house if they blow their money in avocado toast.

Millenials aren't conservative because they have nothing to conserve. If they own a house that will change.

NO ONE EATS AVOCADO TOAST
FUCK OFF WITH THIS MEME

Two words. Work camps.

My fiancee makes it for herself all the time.

She's normally one of the good ones, but even then those thot tendancies seem to seep in every so often

I put avocados and fried egg on my hot dogs

shits cash desu

If Millenials knew how to budget well we'd probably lean more towards Conservative but because they have piss poor finance skills everything goes like this.

>I'm going to get into a useless degree because all of my are going to uni, I'm not only harming and saturating the economy but I'm also buying everything on credit because I have to have that new iphone I'll get rid of in a couple months for the next one. Oh, refugees are doing something in Europe? I'll give them a like so I can feel like my own personal Jesus Christ

How the fuck does this business work? Eventually once enough people use their toilets it becomes nothing more than a 'cleaner' public restroom assuming the driver cleans up after every use

Maybe, but they do drink lattes out of avocado rinds. What's the deal with avocados? Is it why millenials are always going to the bathroom?

Once they stop buying 24 iphones a year and can afford health insurance. :^)

As a millennial I have never done nor seen anyone do that.

...don't hire them.

>> I'm not from Western United States! REEEE!!!

I do, and it is delicious.

What if I blow all my money on firearms and a SHTF property in the middle of nowhere in WV and a fast car to get there rather than on a real house?

>they have piss poor finance skills

They don't teach it in schools and their boomer parents teach them and they have shit budgeting skills.

Don't blame the child when society doesn't even give them a bone.

I do. But I make it myself when avacados are in season. Tastes good with some bacon and fresca cheese on it.

Once I started cooking everything at home my bank account magically started growing. It's amazing how much grabbing some Chipotle or Jamba Juice just a few times a week can add up.

how much you think that costs? $5?

Never seen that either, but $5 drinks every day is $1,500+. Who knows how much they dine out on top of that.

You can't make millennials care about money. They're card-carrying commies. They already anticipate that absolutely every penny they ever save will be forcibly taken from them one day.

And thus they save none. Millennials may suck and all, but in this regard they are behaving rationally with regard to their own expectations. Same goes for neets. Same goes for degenerates.

Western civilization isn't failing because boomers, millennials, feminists, gays, immigration or even blacks.

It's failing because of Communism.

Huh? Millenials are by far the most frugal people I know, because they have to be. They have no fucking money yet they were raised in an environment where they had money. In order to maintain some semblance of their previous lifes, they have to cut corners wherever they can. However, the millenials who have good paying jobs are not frugal whatsoever.

Other than the millenials making 100k+ and are basically boomer-lites, I dunno what the fuck OP is talking about

I had the same shit-finance boomer parents, and I manage my finances just fine.

The difference is being a liberal or conservative.

Liberal = Socialist = Expect to be given everything.

Conservative = Capitalist = Expect to work for everything.

The Indian knock-off version is just an empty truck.

-- Lives with parents (no utility bills).
-- On parents health insurance.
-- On parents car insurance.
-- Parents gave them a car.
-- Parents paid for college.
-- Not married.
-- No kids.

>>Well managed finances...

How hard is it to realize to save when you don't have money?

>We should care for the environment
>We should also have cars driving around to give us a trendy new way to take a shit

Jej

The Indian version has a hole in the floor and will take you to the designated shitting street

Most of them usually are still living on their parents' money, from rent to phone bills and others you've mentioned.

The "my school never taught me finances" is a shitty cop out by retards that (surprise) don't want to take responsibility for their own actions. It's like the concept of sitting down and thinking of ways to not waste money and save some are completely fucking foreign to kids.

Fair enough, I haven't checked out the statistics but there are many I know in my own life who are just like that.

Personally I'm late 20's, and

>pay own rent for shit apartment
>public transportation, but in an area where it's safe to do so
>don't have cell phone bill, have google voice + wifi
>no health insurance
>buy in bulk or fast food

monthly expenses

An ex of mine lived out of town. She'd often ask when I'd move out and be independent like her, all while her parents were paying for her school and apartment shared with two others.

Nearly every single wasteful expense can be absorbed by not owning a car, something which a lot of urban millenials don't waste money on. The amount of money "frugal" people waste on cars every few years is insane compared to an iPhone.

People like to focus on the flashy electronics and eating habits but when you tally the day to day consumption + living expenses it's often vastly less the previous generation as millenials make less money and have to spend more on rent + mortgages.

Millenials commute by foot, public transport or by bike. They don't buy furniture and generally less material goods, they dont waste money on cable, tv etc.

When big ticket items such as a house or a car are absurdly overpriced for what they are as well as growing beyond inflation, there's no incentive to save. This coupled with wage stagnation means first time buyers cannot possibly afford housing.

Avocado toast won't make a dent when your wages can't outpace inflation.

I'm going to journalism school and want to be a combat photopghrapher/videographer. Is this a good plan?

you're most likely a millenial as well so enjoy your own idea

My Dad does. Loves the shit.

This.

Also the millennial money waster meme is a lie. Its just marketing trying to ENCOURAGE millenials to spend like, you guessed it, the Boomers. The boomers are frankly what is keeping the economy alive right now. They have money and they fucking spend it like no tomorrow however as they die off you will begin to see the economy grinding to a halt which is a good thing though since deflation needs to happen badly

it's very hard to get people to see underlying causes of their situation until the rug gets pulled out from under them. my parents cutting me off but still being there for me if i truly needed something was probably the best thing they could've done.

in regards to why i don't have health insurance, things were different just a few years ago before obamacare kicked in. i was paying less than $100/month, totally affordable. then obamacare made young people pay for old people's costs, reducing boomer premiums and raising youth premiums by 3x or more. i went overseas for a few years, thought it was just a meme, came back and couldn't believe the premiums, plus you could only buy plans 1 month out of the year thanks to the communist rationing system they put in place. so i just haven't gotten health insurance. i live next to the border so i can get cheap healthcare if i ever need it.

the youth weren't organized or knowledgable enough to understand or resist, but the boomers actually vote so everybody that mattered fromm a political perspective was happy. the real constituents got their gibs.

Millennial here. My phone cost $15. + $20 365 day credit. Just used for receiving work call outs.

Interesting that almost half of Boomers don't have enough to retire.

I literally just had a conversation with a girl this morning about how she can't give up her "addiction" to avocado toast. Chill with the caps, you faggot.

LOL. Every kid leaving home to work in the real world goes in with no money and relatively poor compared to their parents. Welcome to America, pal, that's how this shit works you start at the bottom and if you work your cock off, you have some luck and you take advantage of your opportunities you'll make it. Everyone leaves college with their stupid degrees in soft sciences, like sweet man you majored in sociology? sort yourself out by putting a gun in your mouth", and thinks that because they're now "educated" the world owes them something. World doesn't owe anyone shit. God I hate millennials like you, make the rest of us look like fucking idiots.

Me and all my peers have great clothes, smartphones, are fit and are pretty typical urban millenials. We spend on average less than 500 Euro (food included) on expenses per month. Everything else goes on rent which is insane. There are no jobs outside of the cities but the cities are unaffordable.

Most boomers LOVE to eat out. There's an entire stealth industry of overpriced cafes that are priced specifically to keep them fed & poorfag millennials out.

ITT: Butthurt children

Go on...

I've asked my millenials friends about avocado and they don't understand it either. None of the people they new use avocados, half of them don't even like them.

fucking baby boomer marketing....

one year mandatory field work after high school

you are a millennial

I know the high end steak restaurants like Morton's and Ruth's Chris' will be in line like Buffalo Wild Wings and other restaurants that are supposedly being killed by Millennials. I never understood why people think Millennials are supposed to eat only at certain places? Not like Applebee's and BWW are new restaurants, they were opened in the 70s and 80s.

>'new'
>not 'knew'

Obama's kids. This is what we pay commie teachers for.

easy, increase interest rates for student loans

I paid into a provincial pension at my old job, took 2 years to contribute 5k, about to cash it out as unlocked lump sum of about 19k this week (minus 30% the government will seize and redistribute to refugees).

25 now and sitting on about 50k, still working on budgeting but I think I'll be ok

If Cafes charge $15 per sandwich no-one but boomers can afford to eat there.
The dumbfuck boomers sit down to eat and are surrounded by fellow boomers; they then decide that the establishment has 'nice clientel' & is 'upmarket'.
Millennials eat cheap fast food.

oy vey we can't have the millenials buying homes, they need to spend their money at our shitty chain restaurants like Buffalo Wild Wings to prop up our gold-plated boomer retirements!

It's YOUR fault our buisnesses are failing, buy our crap you stupid entitles goys!

If you seriously think that Buffalo Wild Wings is a Jewish trick to keep Boomers afloat then please consider suicide.

>Millennials eat cheap fast food.

Hell, a Big Mac meal is about $8. Carl's Jr still has their $4 meal, but it's not advertised.

Are these failing murican restaurants boomer-orientated, poorfag millennials no can afford?

>Is it why millenials are always going to the bathroom?
We're reaching levels of stupid nonsensical "the trouble with kids these days" bullshit that shouldn't even be possible.

>$4 meal

Go on...

I wonder just how much of the restaurant & dining industry is boomer dependant? I bet it's a lot...

No.

We should force the boomers to pay back their debt by performing menial labor when they are dying if terminal cancer

Karmic justice

City Millenials =/= Rural Millenials

City Millenials are poor because they're virtue signalling lefty morons who blow their money on overpriced luxuries, organic food, and social justice campaigns.
Rural Millenials are poor because our jobs pay shit and Boomers have basically doubled the cost of living in small towns over the last ten years.

$4 Real Deal, plus tax. Small drink, small fry, double cheeseburger, and spicy chicken sandwich.

Burger King has something similar but two cheeseburgers for $3.29.

Well I was mostly shitposting but it's one of the many shitty chain resturants that have had articles put out whining how it's millennial's fault they're failing for not buying their overpriced reheated crap.

"millennials reee" has just become the go-to excuse anytime someone's failure of a buisness is failing.

>that nose
no surprise there.

>City Millenials are poor because they're virtue signalling lefty morons who blow their money on overpriced luxuries, organic food, and social justice campaigns.

They also tend to be from the middle/uppermiddle class but are making just above minimum wage, yet continue to live like they are middle class.

They blame them for fucking everything. Millennials don't control .gov, the education system, the media, anything really...
Most are struggling to even buy homes.
What few levers of power that still work are totally boomer controled.

>avocados and fried egg on my hot dogs
NO

yall niggers posting in a NSA data mining thread. many of these replies are ones from previous threads. thats why they are always focused around millenials mgtow single women etc. don't post anything you personal even though your ego wants you to

There's a sizeable portion of the "millennial" generation who aren't frugal because a house right now is simply not feasible. Anyone who buys a home now is a fucking retard because we're approaching the bursting point of the biggest housing bubble in human history.

Over half of millennials have less than a thousand dollars in the bank, yet housing costs and rent prices have never been higher, and have never before grown so astronomically out of whack with inflation and wages.

Either the entire housing market is going to implode, or the banks will force us to stay the course and none of us will ever see our own homes or retirement. Either way it doesn't make much sense to kill yourself saving money right now unless you make well over $100k.

It's nothing new, see the previous pic and this one.

Every generation pulls the same bullshit and is stupid enough to think it's some novel idea that isn't just trying to pass the buck for their own mess.

So I just ask for the "Real Deal"?

Is it dine in or drive-through

Well ain't that just shit on wheels.

Thread theme
www.youtube.com/watch?v=pkf7bbyIQfc

the fuck? a boomer that has social security and medicare can retire, full stop.

that boomer may take a quality of life hit versus what he's used to, but he'll still be financially better off than most millenials.

>communism
>common in the USA

personally i like the 4 for $4 at wendys. double cheseburger, small fries, small drink, 4-5 chicken nuglets

otherwise i mix and match dollarmenu-esque items to hit nutritional requirements (e.g., protein, choline, potassium) as close as possible.

>I've asked my millenials friends about avocado and they don't understand it either.

that's because it's a meme strawman about fresh off the boat hipster yuppies in san francisco

actual millenials eat at pic related

Yeah. Dine in or to go.

I wonder how much longer it can all go on here in Australia with the 5-15% year to year housing growth...
Ever year I think for certain it will pop, but somehow it keeps rising. It ruined everything, a pretend economy has replaced the real one.

>wendys has the best burgers despite one of their main competitors being called BURGER KING
Explain this shit, atheists.

just because communism became a dirty word that we don't use anymore doesn't mean we aren't winning. Fight for $15, UBI, Single Payer, these things were unheard of in the last 40 years and become a closer reality everyday

Fresh not frozen, plus they have chili, what's not to love?

Wendy's is absolute top-tier fast food. Their fries >> everyone else's fries. Whatever they did to pull back from the brink 5-10 years ago, it is working. Only problem is that there are no convenient Wendy's near me.
I still don't get the
> Millenials reeeee
meme though. Most of my friends are working shitty jobs that barely pay their bills, living with parents to try to save on monthly expenses, and trying to save up enough to pay for school so they can get out of the low wage trap. If you don't have the personality for sales, your options are pretty damn limited, though trades can be okay I guess. Buddies of mine making ~45K which turns into ~35K take home, but if you keep your expenses down, you can make a decent go of things.
Lel, you mean the fight for $15 that is resulting in people with less take home pay and businesses closing? Negative income tax >> UBI anyways

>less take home pay and businesses closing
>not realizing this is part of the end goal
Negative income tax is good too

>Most of my friends are working shitty jobs that barely pay their bills
Maybe they should work harder and get better jobs. It's not difficult.

What the fuck is a millenial anyway

What's the criteria

Underappreciated truth right here.
While much of the boomer population forgot or stopped cooking, their wages made it possible to dine out / eat fast-food or ready-to-heat junk every day. Their children, just don't have the income for that lifestyle, but as they never have learned cooking in any way or form, they aren't able to escape the "food trap"
t. 200+lbs fatty cooking and dining exlusively on 30€ a week

> Experience is necessary to get a good job
> To get experience, you need to have a job
> Hence they take entry-level jobs
> Entry-level jobs don't pay very much
> Unexpected expenses knock people back
> Can't save for school
> End up stuck on a treadmill of barely getting by
Like I said, unless you have the personality for sales, or are going into the trades, you're going to have a bad time. My sister is 31 and was only JUST able to move into her own house with her fiance. She and her husband are also both in social work though, so it's their own damn fault.

Thats wrong

I am saving up, but I have no clue where I'm going to be in the next few years so buying a house is pointless and also impossible on 30K a year. As things are now, I'm building an emergency fund and after that I'll be buying a motorcycle.

Quit trying to force people into your housing market schemes. You wall street scumbag. Hur dur own a house get more conservative. No its own a house and be a slave for the rest of your life. Its not called "morgue"tgage for nothing.

Self discipline. The army taught it to me because my single mother couldn't. Mandatory 4 years army for every high school drop out, 2 years for graduates. The army will teach self discipline.

My roommate last year would spend like $60 a week on food alone. Then he would spend the rest of his money on stupid shit that is too expensive for a college student

eat ramen, buy crypto, try to not be a fucking idiot. strive for financial independence. dont be a faggot.

Do like your parents did and get a (((loan)))

>buy crypto
>strive for financial independence
???

Crypto currency is nothing but a funnel for money laundering. Nothing in this life is secure but a house at least gives you a place away from it all at the end of the day.

Eating Ramen every day will fuck up your health. Eat a cucumber and tomato salad if you cannot afford anything else.m

Probably 8

similar situation, cheap food is usually pretty bad for you, lots of grains. Wish I could afford the paleo meme desu
