do you even have jobs in Argentina?

My Dad was working in Buenos Aires in like 2002 or 2003 for a few months, doing work at the US Embassy. They tipped the guard for their gated community like $200 US, and he said it was the most thankful he had ever seen anyone. So probably not.

Now you lose sales because your customers don't have mone-

$15/hour minimum wage kills jo-

We need to raise the minimum wage so big corporations are forced to automate while driving small businesses out of business completely

Then the proletariat can take to the streets with pitchforks and torches and demand universal basic income

And then it's smooth sailing NEET lifestyle for everyone while the capitalist pig 1% slaves away to sustain us aww yea baby. Utopia! 24/7 eating, drugs, video games, sex and did I mention drugs? Lots of drug addictions.

Oh and of course we'll do things like painting and write poetry now that we have so much free time. Jamal and Sanchez shouldn't be slaving away in a McDonalds - they want to create art!

It's funny that people are blaming the minimum wage hikes for this shit, but fail to realize that within a few years this kind of system will be the norm everywhere, even those places with a $7 minimum wage. Automation has no brakes and the minimum wage hikes are mostly irrelevant.

>We raised the price of unskilled labor and businesses actually hired more people!

Wow, that's completely counter intuitive and doesn't make any sense at all, but I'll believe it because Le Laughing Crying Girl leaf shitposter posted it.

Fuck you.

you realize these graphs simply show there was already downward/upward trends and your data regarding this is less than 6 months worth.. ?

right?

you realize this doesn't say anything positive about your position?

surely you're not THIS much of a leaf?

Surely if we offer to work for $1/hour then our billionaire globalist overlords will protect our jo-

i would say that wall street need less influence with CEOs and the board.

When workers have more money, they spend it in the local economy. Hahaha so funny right.

youtube.com/watch?v=8wAa9DqHZtM

You realize the right wing retard corporate shill talking point that the higher min wage kills jobs is bullshit right? Surely you're not this much of a retard right? Here's a chart of food sector employment.

If a business needs labour it needs labour. If shitcunts at the bottom have more money they're spending more. If they're spending more the need for labour goes up.

Simple economics actually.

Unlike those greedy money grubbing business owners, who turn it into gold bars and stash it in their big metal vaults!

Gtfo of here with that bullshit. This is a billionaire globalist shill board now

>chinese
>work ethic

>You realize the right wing retard corporate shill talking point that the higher min wage kills jobs is bullshit right?
I am stating that the data you are presenting does not prove or disprove your position.

How fucking dense are you?

...

We should raise the minimum wage to $100. Imagine the number of jobs that would create!

It disproves the right wing corporate shill talking point that the $15/hour min wage kills jobs. It doesn't.

>Look at this thing that the 0.00001% does with their money! That's what every single business owner does!

>this is how right wing retards argue economics

Machines are always more efficient then humans in that kind of work and will be replaced no matter what. So seek a real job that a machine can't do.

I've never seen right wing retards so triggered by 3% unemployment and higher wages for American workers. If you need starvation wages to stay in business, you're a shitty business owner. I don't give a fuck if it's a key principle of your cuck ideology, you're not entitled to cheap labour, bitch.

literally retarded m8

>this is how retards who have no understand of economics whatsoever (ie. socialists) argue economics

wtf i higher employment, lower unemployment and higher wages now!

...

>corporate shill
you're the only corporate shill here faggot as it's only large corporations that benefit from higher minimum wages

>if I get the govt to force a store to pay up more money, and spend it in that same store, that store made more money!

Holy jej are you guys okay? When you set a price floor above the equilibrium price, you create a shortage because demand becomes limited in the face of greater supply. Your labour is effected the same

Lol you're the one fighting for lower wages for American workers. Go fuck yourself.

It's almost like there's more than 1 store and 1 employee in a local economy.

When the consumer base has more disposable income, they spend more money, thus driving the economy.

Go back to Econ101

youtube.com/watch?v=8wAa9DqHZtM

Actually higher minimum wage forces more people into part-time work and has actually lowered yearly after tax earnings for example in Seattle with a $13/hour minimum yearly earnings were reduced for low income families by an average of $1500 ... you aren't helping them your making them poorer

It's true that raising the wage rate above its equilibrium level has consequences. That's just basic economics. For a severe case, we can easily view what artificially setting wage rates has done in te past; specifically in Puerto Rico. Now in this time, we are witnessing the effects on the Country of Venezuela.

In short, imposing an artificially high wage rate on labor will affect either price's of the final produced good or employment; or both.

Seattle is no exception to the economic law; if not affected in employment; the costs of living in Seattle are probably among the highest in the nation; which I'm taking a guess at without even looking at the figures.

You are the same faggots that argue for needing illegal immigrants for cheap farming

You know what I want to see? I want to see the look on those employee's faces that work on the jobs that Trump so called saved from going over seas AFTER he leaves office I want to see the look on their faces as the company closes down anyway and moves their jobs. Priceless...

Wrong.

Right wing retards don't understand what a labor market looks like at 3% unemployment. Employers have to offer high wages and better benefits.

You retards honestly have no fucking clue what 3% unemployment means because you don't know what an unemployment rate is.

The Seattle Minimum Wage Study Is Utter B.S.
fortune.com/2017/06/27/seattle-minimum-wage-study-results-impact-15-dollar-uw/

A tale of two studies: poor research leads to poor findings on minimum wage
eoionline.org/blog/a-tale-of-two-studies/

In the second, a University of Washington team concluded that the 2016 wage increase reduced the number of low-wage jobs by 9% and actually lowered the incomes of low-wage workers. This diverges from the majority of economic research. Across the U.S., city, state, and federal governments have changed minimum wages dozens of times over the past two decades. Multiple economists from across the ideological spectrum have studied these changes, and even opponents of minimum wage increases have not found impacts anywhere near the scale of the UW team.

The UW’s counter-intuitive findings underscore several methodological flaws:

They limit their study only to single-site establishments, because their data could not distinguish whether employees of multi-site chains – think Molly Moon’s, Mud Bay, Mod Pizza, Starbucks – actually worked inside or outside the city limits. That leaves 40% of workers excluded from their study. It also means that leaving a job at small business for a job at a larger company counts incorrectly as a job loss.

>We need to raise the minimum wage so big corporations are forced to automate while driving small businesses out of business completely

This is a meme

It won't drive out small businesses completely. It will just encourage more family-owned, family-run small businesses. If all or most of the employees of a small business are family, it won't matter what the minimum wage is. They'll just reinvest their wages back into the business. Tech startups also have equity based pay-structures so they're not really effected by this either.

You have to look at the second and third order effects.

The long-term effects of increasing the minimum wage may in fact disproportionately harm large corporations with a pyramid like pay-structure. The executives, directors, and managers of a large company aren't going to take a haircut because they need to compensate their underlings more. This "wage rigidity" can cause a lot of large companies to go bust.

>comparing the 3rd world to Seattle

When the corporate shills of (((pol))) fight this hard against a higher min wage, you know it's a good thing for workers.

yeah mate they're going to have real high wages once the value they offer is lower than that of the minimum wage and businesses fire most of the workforce and roll out automation

...

Recycling wealth doesn't create wealth. More is spent just as more is forced to be forked over. Maybe go get a job that isn't shit and negotiate your own wage

Who cooks the food? Workers making $15/hour. Are you trying to suggest that if you just for $1/hour the billionaire globalist overlords you worship, serve and obey will stop automating jobs?

Or maybe the billionaire globalist elites you worship, serve and obey can pay slightly higher wages. Would that be so bad? Corporations made over $6 TRILLION in profits last year. They can pay higher wages.

I'm so sick of shills on (((pol))) who get paid to fight for lower wages for American workers

this is going to happen no matter what wages are. no way i'm going to use those machines though. i dont even use the ones at the grocery store.

Job? What is that? We all live out of Mana from the sky. I must return to my nigger hut.

2002/03 was our worst point in history, but that was 15 years ago.

everyone step aside. we've got a badass over here.

Same here. I refuse to use them as well. Unlike conservashit billionaire cocksuckers, I care about people's jobs.

Unemployment rate is a lagging indicator to say it's a good measure of this policy in the present is just wrong secondly as higher labor wages causes business to close or reduce or stop highering, people may be discouraged from looking for employed and not be included in the unemployment rate (only considered those who have looked for a job in the past four weeks) additionally this rate may be low because of an orginal uptick in part time work but if I was a full time employee and the minimum wage increase and now I am a part time employee you have not helped me you have reduced my hours and hurt me

Inshallah.

I've used them in Europe, and they do the job just fine. You can fuck around and search through the whole menu, something not normally done.

You keep posting that meme without working out all the knock-on effects.
Your flag looks almost (((familiar))).

bad goyim, BAD!

fuck kroger for putting plastic flowers on top of cakes and then not saying anything about the flowers being plastic
me and my sister didn't know those fuckers were plastic until we had chewed them for about ten seconds
absolutely nowhere on the box does it say what the flowers were made of
thanks kroger

You're really using the discouraged argument when the min wage is $15/hour? Why the fuck would right wing retard Trump voters still be discouraged from working when min wage is $15/hour? Also I love how all these right wing retards love talking about the economy, yet not one of you retards knows what the U4 rate is. 8 years of discouraged talking points, you'd think you woulda figured out U4 by now.

fred.stlouisfed.org/series/U4RATE

Do you people know that when unemployed get jobs, the unemployment rate goes down? Not even the corporate shills are claiming that the $15/hour min wage kills jobs because it doesn't.

>value they offer
Where's my discount for self-service, nigger?
Multiply that by however many thousand and maybe you aren't actually making money after all.
These are empty, idle threats from corporate cucks who are paid not to think these things all the way through. Typical Americans, believing as an article of faith that their word is final.

even it it costs me a cent more per grocery what does it matter? i dont like using the machines.

Reminder that Seattle is booming and jobs are plentiful.

indeed.com/l-Seattle,-WA-jobs.html

At 3% unemployment, employers have to compete for labor which is the best thing for workers and it is the billionaire globalists worst nightmare. That's why corporate shills are fighting so hard against it.

>Why the fuck would right wing retard Trump voters still be discouraged from working when min wage is $15/hour?
"Discouraged" is the term of art used for people whose unemployment insurance has run out, and are therefore no longer counted as "attached" to the work force.

What does U4 measure? fred.stlouisfed.org/series/U4RATE

Actually, we do have a higher than expected unemployment at the moment.
The former administration of the Kirchners left us a mega state, that could very well be a leftist paradise: unionized jailmates, trap salary (just for being traps!), pregnant salary, and the like.

Bolivia, Peru and Paraguay have sent over 3 million economic migrants, and concentrated in the Buenos Aires megacity (over 16 million population now). They all get government money.

Sorry for derailing the conversation a bit.

I would love this. The less I have to deal with people the better. Plus the robot doesn't fuck up my order or spit in it.

You can't eradicate unemployment at any rate, the best you can aim for is around 5% realistically.

>trap salary
double tip top kek

the people making the food arent being replaced so there may still be spit in it

Hate Has No Home Here

I thought I hated the machines, but it's much worse to have to stand there while some weirdo rings up your groceries and makes fake friendly small talk with you then asks you to leave them a good review as a cashier.

Higher

Aren't being replaced yet. The future will provide.

Just searched the actual statistics provided by the BLS; specifically the Seattle area. You can see for yourself the prices paid for specific sectors and see that the general standard of living in the area is decreasing rather than increasing as prices paid continues to rise.

bls.gov/regions/west/summary/blssummary_seattle.pdf

Colorado is down to 2.3% unemployment. Lowest in the country.

denverpost.com/2017/05/19/colorado-unemployment-rate-record-low/

and?

Reminder that you can breathe in space, they just dont want us to escape

Sounds like you're the sort of person that has earned every bit of mucus you've eaten.

Try Aldi, then. Their checkers don't engage in conversation at all. There are other grocery chains that caution checkers against checkstand chatter, like maybe Albertson's.

Seattle has never been a cheap place Where are the statistics comparing Seattle over time? All I see are 2016 stats.to live.

you said

> the best you can aim for is around 5% realistically.

you're wrong

I'm just really autistic and don't like dealing with people.

t. Corporate shill literally triggered by higher wages

oops meant for you said

> the best you can aim for is around 5% realistically.

you're wrong

Oy vey shut it down

I didn't say this was some magical limit you can't break, merely that due to exigent circumstances it is unrealistic to expect a constant unemployment rate below 5%.

Stop being autistic.

Artificially increasing wages doesn't really mean anything if it gets canceled out with a far superior increase in the overall COST of living. You see, troll; there exists both revenues and expenditures you need to account for.
Not to mention; you didn't even quote the actual unemployment rate for the Seattle area; showing you're willing to take any information that supports your theory; confirmation bias, much.

>Actually higher minimum wage forces more people into part-time work
>more people working
>less time spent working
I fail to see the problem.
>yearly earnings were reduced for low income families by an average of $1500
Cite?

>due to exigent circumstances it is unrealistic to expect a constant unemployment rate below 5%.
>exigent
>requiring immediate action or aid; urgent; pressing
Really? Where's the fire, rentier?

>if it gets canceled out with a far superior increase in the overall COST of living
It's on you to show that the cost of living exceeded the wage increase.
It's not our job to read the thread for you, think-tank cuck.

The unemployment rate only counts people that is still looking for a job. A can not have a job and not be counted as unemployed.

It doesnt matter where the laws of economics are broked they work no matter where they are.

Fuck off commie shill.

Actually you can bring unemployment down below 5%. You should aim for much lower than that. That's how you get rising wages.

look up Flippy
the robot thatll be replacing them by 2020

"Technology has gotten so cheap that it is now more economically viable to buy robots than it is to pay people $5 a day."-Kaila Colbin

i mean, its not like its hard 2 understand.. this is y most of u ppl here r called shills

What does U4 measure?

It's hilarious to me that u retards don't know.

fred.stlouisfed.org/series/U4RATE

Why aren't right wing retard Trumpshits looking for a job when job openings are at all time highs?

This is such a brainlet argument.

Who cooks the food?

>Surely if we offer to work for $1/hour then our billionaire globalist overlords will protect our jo-

>Who cooks the food?

Robots....

>Really? Where's the fire, rentier?
For example people between jobs are counted as unemployed even if they have work lined up, or do you expect 100% of able bodied people to be in the work force at all times? That's communism bro.

>Actually you can bring unemployment down below 5%.
I just asserted the same thing, you are being autistic.

>It doesnt matter where the laws of economics are broked they work no matter where they are.
You sound quite informed on economic matters. Keep your head in your econ 101 bible coloring book; the rest of us are out here ignoring it and living better as a result.

was gonna happen even if minimum wage was $5

>increase in the overall COST of living.

Cost of services go up. The poor care about the cost of food, gasoline, and internet.

>For example people between jobs are counted as unemployed even if they have work lined up, or do you expect 100% of able bodied people to be in the work force at all times? That's communism bro.
Full employment is communism? wtf I love communism now, as long as I get six weeks of vacation per year.

this

but the corporate shills are trying to argue that if you just work for $1/hour then the billionaire globalist overlords won't automate your job

Well you're the one saying that personal exigent factors are not a good enough reason for someone to be out of the work force even though they may be considered fully employable and therefor count as unemployed. Why do you want to strip humans of their humanity?

If the minimum wage hasn't been increased, then why were the machines invented already?

Fun Fact!. Most jobs being replaced by machines aren't in fast food.

Fun Fact! Most Fast Food jobs are already above minimum wage and have been for years now.

Fun Fact! We are already at record low unemployment and have been way before Trump took office, or before minimum wage was raised in Seatle.

Fun Fact! There isn't a single one of you who has any idea how the economy really works.

Think corruption, exploitation, and abundance.

>Well you're the one saying that personal exigent factors are not a good enough reason for someone to be out of the work force even though they may be considered fully employable and therefor count as unemployed
Oh, PERSONAL exigent factors. I misunderstood you the first time. That's fair.
