>Why is this allowed?
Well, you socialist libtard parasite piece of shit, it's allowed because some educations have more worth than others do. Yours, for example, is not worth shit, which is why you think the universe owes you free schooling.

I have a MSc in Chemistry from Penn and I work at a car dealership. Keep falling for the STEM meme moron. I bet you Computer "Science" is actually a science (protip: it isnt).

I went to community college and then commuted and got it pretty cheap. Most of these overly expensive colleges are because people pay for student housing, meal plans and other shit.

Someone has to pay for the salary of the Executive Deputy Dean of the Office of Strategic Community Planning.

why do idiots pay it?

Because people are willing to pay that much, that's why it's allowed.

That means you were a dumbass who didn't know how to network. Networking with average grades gets you way, way farther than good grades and insufficient contacts.

Most stuff can be taught online for virtually nothing, with the technology we have available today.
Education is highly socialist. socialism resists change, therefore it is hyper-inflationary.

only rich successful families should have the privilege to go to college.

high school teachers basically imply after high school you just go to college then get a career because that's what they did. Colleges cash in on 18 year olds with little to no money and no understanding of how much debt they are generally taking on.

Huge number of reasons. They're convinced through social pressure they'll be a failure or lower class if they don't. They vastly overvalue the degree they're going to earn. They probably can't grasp the concept of putting yourself that far in debt because they're young and stupid and haven't handled finances like that before. They get hooked on government loans and scholarships that get them into the system, but if things go wrong they feel stuck and take on more loans. There's probably a decent number of people who probably go "fuck it, I'm never going to pay it anyway" and just don't care.

>Why is this allowed
Because Jews are usurers and will try to squeeze every penny out of the common person.

youtube.com/watch?v=a0nI8p_ZUOs

>not having a network after college
>not having any friends in the field
>calls it a meme
>>>r9k

This. Its just Jews in academia creating bullshit do-nothing administration jobs for their fellow Jews, while slowly jacking up the tuition because people will pay anything for their work permits and social worth.

The costs are rising because every student can take a loan from the government

>keep falling for the stem meme
You're just an idiot who has no capability to game the system that played him. I have a $200k degree from cal tech. I started a bullshit nonprofit the year after graduation in order to consolidate my debt to the exactly $0

It's a scam. When a person goes $50,000 in debt for a worthless degree, they don't really want to accept that they made a bad decision. Instead they try to get a job in the education system and start shilling how great education is so more suckers come in and pay for it. They then lobby government to make what they learned mandatory so their job is secured.

>cal tech
Aren't there a lot of chinks there? That seems terrible; the Asian kids at my school cheat so much.

>anything but engineering or software
>STEM
Dun goofed.

costs increase because the available funding continues to be stable. Between grants and subsidies as well as the massive push for debt forgiveness and federally funded tuitions, colleges can charge what ever they want for college because retarded people want what society thinks is best for their child and will find a way to pay for it. Socially driven elitism creates overwhelming demand which allows providers to charge what ever the fuck they want. Take a good long look at it and let it sink in that this is exactly what has been happening to healthcare.

>go for a STEM degree in a field with very high demand instead of meme degree in comp sci
>STEM degrees are only second in price to med school
>it still costs over 10 times less than burger degrees
Land of the wage slaves, home of the cucks.

Do you know what "STEM" means?

Feels pretty good to be getting it for free.

We have to raise tuition again to afford a new African American Studies complex that the free-ride affirmative action students can be put in.

Because Jews.

I'll wait until next life for the prices to get to a reasonable point as even my local community college expects $10k a year for tution.

Just because it costs $334k doesn't mean you have to pay it. Buy something else.

If enough people choose other options, colleges will have to drop the price to lure you back in.

This.

I taught genchem and organic for several years. College is now nothing more than grades 13-16

And don't forget presidents, provost's, and coaches with salaries well into the millions or tens of millions.

My god damn undergrad football coach gets 6 million a year to be mediocre.

There are a lot of chinks in any southern California college that isn't a cal state

Government subsidies allow college to charge what they want because colleges know they will get their cash one way or another.

this is your "free market" at work. Why is it that anything thats "free" (free speech, free market, free rights, etc.) end up in the suffering and even murder of people (lgbtq+ peoples and peoples of color being oppressed, college students being oppressed, etc.)

The government should take control of education and make it free for everyone. There is no excuse.

>go to trade school
>do shit with my own two hands
>$8k/yr
>done in 1.5 years
>make $40k right out of school
Retards going to expensive universities just for the brand name amuse me

>why can't everyone afford "elite" education

I know! And have you seen the prices of Ferraris lately? Ridiculous!

>Why is it that anything thats ends up in the suffering and even murder of people

> make it free for everyone

>I bet you Computer "Science" is actually a science (protip: it isnt).
I don't even

Also you're an idiot if you get into tons of debt and get no job out of the deal

If you want a free education in America, then just spend 4 years in the Navy or Army.

>No airforce

Cuck

enjoy being old when you hit 40

When I'm 40 I plan to be making more than your entire family without lifting a finger

>go to school
>work
>paying someone for the pleasure of it
>wasting a year and half of your life and potential interest/gains
>implying 40k/yr isn't gas station manager level

lol fucking plebs, get on my merchant tier.
>no school
>simply buy shit in spot A and sell in spot B for more
>start any time
>get 50k/yr self paid
>can change that figure any time I don't feel like reinvesting earnings into new ventures

when you're 40 in trades you get paid $150k/year to just check other people's work.

I wish you well whit your plans

Yeah no
You don't just get to wear the white hat because you worked hard and long enough

You should have realized two years into a chem degree that if you don't have a PhD you will be lucky to find a job making 15-20 an hour in the field.

because idiots pay for it

Because colleges are literally a corporate thing now. Theres a whole documentary about it. I think its called Ivory Tower or some shit. Basically colleges compete for expansion to become bigger and they get the funding from the state to do this + the money they get from student tuition. They get bigger and the cost to become a bigger institution also increases so does the cost of admission as well.

>college meal plans
These are some top-tier kikery. I actually did the math on the meal plans back when I was in school and it literally came out to about $80 a day for the plans they would require you to buy if you lived in the dorms. For food that was McDonalds quality at best.

>Hurr durr we need more money for education!
>*votes to increase funding to colleges*
>colleges suddenly get all of this free funding, decides to squander it on staff pay raises and unnecessary new buildings and landscaping
>hurr durr you HAVE to go to college, otherwise you'll work at McDonalds for the rest of your life!
>Every single 18 year old goes to college no matter how much it costs
>College tuition keeps rising because there is literally no incentive for colleges to lower the price
>hurr durr we need more money for education!
>*votes to give more taxpayer money to colleges, grants, and scholarships*
>college proceeds to squander it again on new buildings and landscaping and pay raises and price gouge tuition
>Every dumbass 18 year old can get a 6 figure unforgivable student loan
>YOU HAVE TO GO TO COLLEGE ANY DEGREE IS A GOOD DEGREE BRO
>College enrollment continues to increase, colleges have no reason to lower the price
>THE REPUBLICANS DID THIS.jpg
>WE NEED MO MONEY FO DEM EDUCATIONS N SHIEET

At what point does the cycle break?

When the colleges are burned to the ground.

>At what point does the cycle break?
when the student loan bubble bursts

Because it's expensive to brainwash retarded liberal children.

What do you predict will happen post-crash, or is that too much Machiavellian wishful thinking?

Not for the truly deserving.

No, it's just easy to rip off retarded children and their retarded parents, the indoctrination is just a side effect, to ensure that the spice keeps flowing when their children become college age.

>What do you predict will happen post-crash
no idea but the latest it could possibly happen is when the unpaid unforgivable student loan debt is passed on to the debtor's children

add 4 years of foregone wages and it's another 120k

Probably another 2008

Last I read there were something like $1 trillion in the US for delinquent student loans.

Most people have no idea how many people shot themselves and the country in the foot when they decided that taking out a $100,000 student loan for a political science degree was a good "investment".

I hope to see some actual help for the people who got screwed this time but it will probably just be found two of the (((banks))) getting MUH TO BIG TO FAIL gibs with absolutely no meaningful consequences for the people who caused the problem.

because retarded people keep paying them, smart people get a library card, you learn the same things for pretty much free without some commie jew trying to brainwash you

This is what I'm currently doing. 2 years at a CC, then finish up at a 4year while still doing summer classes at the CC. I'm paying less than half what my peers will

With my choice of good but fair priced university, my savings from high school paid for it. Parents chipped in some too, but I could have gotten a part time job and easily covered the costs.

If I didn't get a scholarship, I would have just done trade school. Hell, I'd probably be making more than I do now.

>private college

WOW, IT'S LIKE THERE ISN'T THIS WHOLE SYSTEM OF STATE SCHOOLS THAT ARE RELATIVELY AFFORDABLE AND UBIQUITOUS ENOUGH THAT MOST PEOPLE CAN COMMUTE TO AT WORST.

Cheap credit will destroy the world

And a govt that allows scamming, like in the student loan and healthcare industries

>MARRIAGE COSTS COULD TOTAL AS MUCH AS 19 MILLION DOLLARS. THE MOST EXPENSIVE MARRAIGES CAN COST THAT MUCH

why is this allowed.

Hopefully you aren't majoring in a meme degree

To all the youngins out there, if you are majoring in stupid shit, either switch to something better or just drop out, it's not worth it.

The government literally does have control of education and thats why it is so fucking expensive you god damn retard. Not only that, but since they are government and are filled with literal kikes top to bottom, they continuously spend money on useless shit instead of on academics (aka football and sports cancer).

My university, PS(JEW) just put out a $125 million dollar STARTING proposal to redo the football stadium(that is just the initial investment, not the final cost) meanwhile the engineering buildings are in disrepair and multiple building have had structural damage in the last year. BUT NO, they said they will pull necessary funds from (((student fees))) (aka hike tuition) and give the stupid niggers that play nigger ball more gibs. They spent over a million dollars feeding the stupid nigger ball players last year. A MILLION FUCKING DOLLARS. And since they are technically under control of the feds, nothing can be done about it.

But I have autism

I'm trying to go medical school, which requires an ass full of pre-requisites, which is why saving money is my main goal atm. If I fail to get in I'll just get a teaching cert and try to undo some of the socialist brainwashing that's done on our youth

It's bullshit.

College is like a giant all included villa vacation.

All you need is some books a room and somebody to teach. At least for undergrads. The rest is fucking criminal. Society pays dearly for this charade.

I saw a legit study that showed, kids don't really have any better critical thinking skills after this anyway. and they are bankrupted!

It primarily about paying for the credential. It's like they hold a key to a (chance at) a half decent future and they are blackmailing you for all they can get.

Fuckers. I'd tell my kids get a specific skill for a reasonable cost and try hard to be an entrepreneur.

Stick with it, most shit in the medical field is legit.

You'll be leaps and bounds better off than your peers who are studying dumbass shit like English or Sociology

>t. community college dropout but managed to find an OK job anyway

>muh free market

Army
>Blackhawks
>75th Rangers
>Owning urban environments

Navy
>SEALS
>Blowing shit up from 600 miles away
>Carriers raining hell

Marines
>Killing shit on beaches
>Killing shit in the sandbox
>Eating babies

Air Force
>Getting to run in gym shoes
>Always knows where to play golf
>Air conditioning

You have to be joking, right?

Anyone who complains about college being too expensive is implying directly that they have no ambition to be in the top 99% of quality and commitment when it comes to their career field.

Yeah I do think it's expensive if you're a dumb cunt who doesn't do internships, school clubs, community service, only gets low A's and high B's and thinks he DESERVES a job just for having a diploma.

You can kindly fuck off.

>kids don't really have any better critical thinking skills after this

It probably leaves you less able to think critically than before you went in.

Literally no reason to go to an expensive college unless you know you'll have an expensive career.

And no, I don't mean you hope your expensive college will land you an expensive career.
You should know before you go that someone already wants you or you have some sort of connection when you get out.

>I have a MSc in Chemistry from Penn and I work at a car dealership.
>Penn's fault you made shit choices
Lazy fuck.
You're on Sup Forums, I already know YOU'RE your biggest problem.

I agree, if you didn't get into Harvard or Princeton you deserve to starve to death!!

If you didn't get into a top-tier university, you have no business being in a university unless you're getting jobs in demand.

If you want to be a scientist or a politician, neck yourself if you think you deserve it from going to a state school and not having a near 4.0 GPA.

You are a dumb shit if you don't worry about where the money is coming from and where it is going, there is an entire education complex that is bleeding us dry and taking advantage of and ruining the lives of young people, when the bubble pops it's not going to effect just them, it's going to ripple through the entire economy and probably cause worse effects than 2008, your degree might not even matter at that point

>Thinks there is a free market for colleges
If the government keeps guaranteeing loans and raising the caps which they've been doing for years that's not a free market. They would literally be stupid not to charge as much as possible when the government and retards like you think the answer is merely the government will fix it. THEY FUCKING BROKE IT! College use to be fucking affordable as fuck before the government got it grubby hands on it. The government turns everything it touches to shit in terms of cost.

He could work at any food company.
He could work for any pharmaceutical company.
He could work in an oil company.
He could work in transport.
He could work in aeronautics.
He could work in mining.
He could work in aerospace.

The list goes on. An MSc in chemistry is a golden ticket if you're not a complete fuckup.

Go into the trades for a couple years, then go into inspection. Easiest job on earth, no debt, great pay, most inspectors are retiring soon, and a perfect mix of moving around and desk work.

I take it you are a Steven Crowder fan
I too enjoy listening to that faggot

It's a bubble because of exactly what I said.

>Everyone thinks they can go to college and a magic wand enchants them to get a 100k+ job
>colleges are now bigger than ever, having to hire most staff, expand their businesses, have more funding, etc.
>tuition goes up
>people take out loans for college so now literally EVERYONE can go and tuition isn't a deterrent

Surprise surprise! Most people are completely fucking average and don't deserve that 100k+ job.

When the bubble bursts, people who actually are in a college fraternity, have extracurricular, have internships, and who have that near 4.0 GPA will still be employed.

No one wants you when they exist and they do.

No money down government loans means that colleges can charge so much more than if those types of loans exists. Its basically the same cause of the housing crisis.

Capitlized education.

They already water down government instituted schools so that people who don't go to private have a clear disadvantage.

The realization is that if everyone was the same, no clear distinction can be made.

But government money is being manipulated in a capitlized system. So it's contradictory because it relies on people not to live off the system.

Doesn't work when we instute welfare. Which just waters down the base dollar past a certain paradigm.

36 chess is realizing that there are so many dimensions to corruption that even chaotic uproots can systematically, and mechanically, be a higher prestige of thinking.

The real question is, why would anyone choose to pay it unless they had a very specific purpose for doing so?

Spending $334k and going on to graduate summa cum laude from Yale to then go through Yale Law is something you can pay off in a handful of years after graduation. Spending $334k for a sociology-related degree is something you will almost certainly never pay off.

Anyone who falls in the latter category brought it on themselves and should be turned into horse food.

>vy leagues "network" aka practice nepotism
>Ivy leagues form the lobbyist, fundraiser and political elites
>they weed out nonviables by mutual connections and fundraisers rather than policy or intelligence
>entite government is based around people getting elected and taking bribes from fellow ivy leaguers
Blacklist of ivy league nepotist in government when?

this guy gets it.

people always do that and always will

Kind of not related but I'm in the process of taking my father to court for forging my signature and taking out an insane amount of extra student loans to pay the mortgage on his house that defaulted anyway. Make 75K a year as a CPA and barely can afford to live with 110K of loans.
If the government never subsidized tuition costs they wouldn't be as high as they are today. Now any idiot that shit the bed in highschool can get gibmedats to get a sports marketing degree

Because they've been brainwashed by their teachers and professors into thinking that all degrees are worth it no matter what, and since professors and teachers are considered to be the among the smartest people in society (yeah I know it's a laughable notion), they just take the bait hook line and sinker. When they realize their meme degree won't get them any kind of job they vote for people like Bernie Sanders because he'll make college free and maybe forgive everyone's student loans and then create government jobs which have 0 use or utility to the public, and the existence of said jobs in itself is charity, and everyone will fly around on rainbows and live happily ever after, the end.

That's about all, peace out.

This, thanks to government loans the colleges can charge whatever the fuck they want and people will still have a way to get the money for it. In reality a lot of the current crop of college students shouldn't be going to college at all, women's studies majors, black studies majors, etc, are people who should be working as baristas, waiters, receptionists, and so on. We've always had people who were too dumb/lazy for management or higher education, but in the past they'd be pushed towards careers more their speed. This class of people, the Bernie Bunch if you will, "belong" in lower middle class jobs like administration, sales or some of the easier trades. Today we send them to college for four years of women's lit or whatever and then four years later we stick them in a Starbucks where they make $10 an hour and have $50,000 in debt. Really even if college was free and we forgave student loans the Bernie Bunch would still be fucked, they should have never been in college to begin with.

(((they))) however must be stopped without being named, what better way to strike back than targetting institution that cater mainly to them

It's basic supply and demand. Typically, prices rise and fall until there is an equilibrium met between the number of people willing to purchase the product, and an ideal amount of profit per person. If a company can raise the prices by some unit amount, and that amount is able to pay for the decrease in buyers, they will do so. Similarly, if a company can make more money by decreasing prices by some unit amount, and the number of new buyers would pay for the decrease in profit per buyer, they will decrease prices.

In the case of a college education, demand is what we call inelastic. That is, changes in prices don't tend to cause people to think "I'm going to consider doing something else in life." They've been told since birth that if they don't get a college education, they're going to end up flipping burgers for a living, and they're offered loans that will be guaranteed regardless of whether or not they're ever going to be able to pay for it. As such, prices will continue to increase forever until the government is unable to pay for education.

Other things that are fairly inelastic are fuel costs. But at the very least in the case of gasoline, when it is too expensive, people choose to take public transportation to save money, or the opt for cars with better gas mileage moreso than they would otherwise. Almost never do you ever hear someone say, "maybe I shouldn't go to college."

>Why is this allowed?
This is a stupid question. Everything is allowed until someone makes it not allowed.

Don't be dumb. Everyone with a brain practices nepotism because it ensures loyalty and thorough cooperation.

Do you really believe if you did away with Jews people would stop using nepotism, lying, cheating, and conspiring in positions of power?

#SuburbanRetardProblems

Meanwhile I'm making $70k as a journeyman plumber, will be making 6 figures once I become a master in a few years

Am I the only one that thinks a degree shouldn't cost more than $25K? It's a long term investment after all, but it shouldn't fucking cripple you financially outright.

>there are no jobs in my feild

Better vote for somebody who will squander taxpayer money to create jobs in your bullshit "feild" then

Those are private schools. If you're stupid enough to pay for them then so be it. It's the public university's that charge 60k for a bachelors that we should target

because idiots refuse to go to their local state schools
