Do reviews even matter if a company can just pay Google to remove negative reviews?
Our "1 Star" operation failed fellas... BUT we did make CNN pay Jewgle to remove them.
So, we hit them where it hurts, in the bank account.
(I'm not saying we should leave 1 star reviews again... but it wouldnt hurt... )

There is most definitely an issue with fradulent 5 star reviews on the CNN app.
I make this conclusion based on how many fake twitter followers CNN has.
If they're willing to fake followers, they are willing to fake app reviews.
But remember, CNN is a 'pay to play' organization that is willing to cheat the review system and pay Google off to 'fix' their negative image.
My own assessment of the situation leans towards future action against the app as this will likely be more successful.

This is why you should always do 2 or 3 star reviews when trying to kill ratings. One star reviews get removed if they happen all at once.
