Why does Sup Forums push STEM so hard? You realize that STEM also has zero social prestige right? Unlike the fields the libtards own, like law and business.

Because society is shit

Without the engineers and the scientists the lawyers, doctors, and businessmen wouldn't be able to do what they do.

Without gazelles a lion wouldn't be able to live either, which one would you rather be? The lion or the wageslave at the bottom of the totem pole.

Engineers are way more autistic desu

Someone needs to come up with a bio weapon that targets non-whites.

The meme is exaggerated, and therefore 100% wrong.

I'm an engineer in the midwest (electrical and computer science) and I make $115k a year. I live in a big house and drive a brand new M4.

Get fucked.

where in the midwest, flyover pleb?

Not a flyover state.

Also I know a lawyer that just graduated that's making 60k a year in the same area.

OP's post isn't just exaggerated, it's nonsense.

From my own experience (I'm studying mathematics), doctors and students who study medical sciences are far less intelligent than scientists / engineers. Verbally and mathematically. It would be interesting to the see the IQ data on that.
Law became a garbage field. My little sis is on the way to become a lawyer and she is a low IQ (literally) SJW.
>Businessman
>High IQ
Pick one

>60k

nobody who graduates from a respectable university makes that, only the people who went some some third tier toilet flyover school

STEM jobs are way lower stress than law or business and can net very good upper-middle class salaries, they're perfect for living an upper-middle class lifestyle, with high disposable income and being able to afford a large family and low stress from not owning or dealing with a business or personal bullshit.

>STEM has zero social pristige

This isn't right at all and you severely underestimate how much respect people like humanities grads have lost among the mainstream. I remember seeing a 19 year old talk about how he was going to become a philosopher and an entire group of like 8 boomers of varying levels of education went pic related as soon as he left the room.

STEM is widely seen as a practical, sensible choice.

I'll grant you that. But I went to a "flyover" state school, graduated with less than $30k in debt (I worked through most of my schooling), and make six figures as an engineer.

Having a brain > all.

Get fucked.

I know like three people in med school that are stupid as shit

>tfw too intelligent to care about (((social))) prestige

law and business are areas of discipline which require political unbiased, money does not have a political party. Only fruit cake nut job business owners and lawyers will have adamant political perspective

LOL OP why did you leave software developers off the STEM side. I'm in school for computer science and I will easily have a 6 figure job when I graduate.

>has zero social prestige
wew lad, we seem to live in different worlds then. Your loss

Real intellectualism is where it is at; teaching responsibility and risk taking.

Fortune favors the bold.

RIGGEDIT.com

WAKE UP SHEEPUL

Why should we give a fuck about prestige? Business is Conservative and Libertarian. Media and the Humanities are the SJW strongholds.

>Business is Conservative and Libertarian

is that why 99% of the richest people and fortune 500 CEOs are liberals?

you're deluded.

since when was Sup Forums pushing STEM?
this board is like 70% nog and can't into basic math

>law

O user. Lawyers are barely classed as human in the real world. Outside of the media their are viewed by everyone who deals with them as pathetic incompetents who are unable to complete simple courtesies like returning calls or establishing costs. The vast majority are technologically illiterate. The greatest myth. Money. There are plenty of law graduates stacking shelves and technology is slowly making them even more worthless basically because they were a con anyway. They are the last closed shop union and have done great harm to western legal systems. Social status? I literally would not have one in my home and the last time I was hiring one I mad three of them wait for half an hour in a room with a security guard while I finished eating so that the tone of the relationship was clear to them because they do get confused about who the customer is and what their role is. They are not really people more insects. Its an entire career based on being an amoral worthless scamming piece of shit. Whatever respect may have been due it decades ago is long gone.

>Lawyers only good at lying
>Doctors guessing what you have and if wrong, charge anyway
>Businessmen having more vacation days than work days
Ok

>MUH USEFULNESS TO SOCIETY

Fucking idiots lol. You think jews care? No. They go after the most prestigious and lucrative positions. That's why they own you. Keep programming your gay computer and engineering your gay machines and making the BUSINESSMEN that run those companies filthy rich. Retard.

>Lets floos stem even harder
Fuck you, STEM is full.

There are already more grads than jobs while job growth is minimal. This means many salary growth is either negative or non existent thanks to overload of human resources. Some STEM degrees have shit pay already, like math, physics and engineering.

That said STEM degrees like engineering already face challenges in automation and outsourcing. Only thing keeping salaries afloat are shitty degrees that people are taking instead STEM.

Too bad Gov/companies are shilling STEM even harder to push down wages. Automation doesnt come fast enough and outsourcing doesnt always work so theyre opting for next best thing. You fags swallowed the propaganda without any thought and even use it as a weapon

Fuck you, were a full. STEM doesnt even offer a living anymore, get a real trade. Demand in STEM is decreasing while supply is increasing.

If youre enrolling into STEM now, youre falling into a trap of middle class income and potential debt

They own the government, and liberalism is built around expanding the government.

t. semi retired engineer who also has other degrees for pleasure and curiousity.

Id you can do something MANY people NEED and FEW other people can do, you can name your price.

I you do something FEW people NEED and MANY can do. THEN YOU GET THE PRICE YOU ARE GIVEN.

Aside from that you just need to walk away to the person who will pay more

Thats all.
What do you mean 'business', i may NEED an accountant or purchasing expert, logistics etc? but business graduates are not these. They are gibberish lovers who memorize bullet point lists from some unemployed management consultants (something anyone can do who has any notion of how a company trade and few need)

Pull your head out of your ass. Legally blonde is not reality. Before you deal with your laywer, make sure you have dirt on them that will ruin them. They are stupid and greedy and easy to place in that situation. Its the only way to ensure the useless bastards return calls to a paying customer like any other professional does.

nice work op you've triggered me, but you're still a fag

lawyers and businessmen are social parasites who serve no purpose to the nation. OP you should kill yourself if you seriously look up to them

If they were rich they would not have to work at all. You live in a media created myth...not reality.

>OP you should kill yourself if you seriously look up to them

He's just a bullshit artist who has no other options because he's thick so has to join with celebrating the dumb ass professions that last meant something when they were in vogue in the 80s. Things have changed. The legal profession is shitting itself these days.

Law graduates hit by stiff competition, legal aid cuts and falling crime
An excess of university law courses has contributed to a glut of graduates and paralegals. Are there too many lawyers?

Checked. Archive the shills:

Too Many Law Students, Too Few Legal Jobs
WILMETTE, Ill. — Ten months after graduation, only 60 percent of the law school class of 2014 had found full-time long-term jobs that required them to pass the bar exam.

The funniest ones are the fresh business graduates who think thy are 'project managers' Its like seeing some kit who thinks they can build a spaceship by making cells different colors in excel. Completely useless. They have nothing that anyone NEEDS.

And that's exactly why no one likes you.

Yes user, everyone should read STEM and overload it with graduates like they did with law. Have you heard about supply and demand?

I work in a lawyers office until I go to college in the fall. Unless your doing PI or working for a big firm your not doing "amazing" it all depends on how good you want to be. I've seen lawyers struggle to make money and others make booko bucks like every other career field. The medical career field is over done way to many people are flooding into this now meaning salary will plummet. Business... no unless you have MAJOR connections you ain't getting a job anytime soon and if you are your an intern making $20k a year for the first 2 years then you make $60k which is what my mother makes as an uneducated single mother. STEM fields are good as they have a really cool thing called longevity as in you more money as you work for it. I'm getting my PhD in Physics with a nuclear primary for free. If I am to get an internship with a professor as I work and am able to get a discovery explain to me how your shitty 4 year with no achievements will stand against my 8 year with possible discoveries.
>But you're a virgin...
Retard I don't give a shit when I can just buy my way to love when I'm making government money in some facility while your still at the same position you were 10 years ago.

The great thing about STEM fields is it's self limiting. There will always be low level tech jobs for the not-so-smart STEM grads, while the most motivated and smartest will always have access to the top earning positions.

You can't fake brains.

>business
>libtard
Every single sales department boss worth a crap that I've met at the corps I've worked at has been based as fuck. Their damn job is talking great-sounding bullshit, so they can recognize it when they see it on TV.

The true bottom of the pan is being a low tier manager/specialist in heavy industry. Your pay is worse than blue collar and the management will whip you around until you're too wrecked to go on, then the next starry eyed applied sciences graduate is picked from the 9000-mile queue to replace you.

I should have been a truck driver like the 8-year old me wanted, but no, had to go for the educational jew.

>English major, Lit minor
>Junior year start looking for job
>Apply for state job working in a Library.
>Calls for a BA minimum
>Whatever, apply anyway
>Interview goes well.
>Offered well paying position
>Considering MA in Library Science to make even more money as Librarian.

MFW stemfags laugh at my degree.

As long as you don't study gender studies user I don't give a damn what the hell you major in.

I'm about to start my senior year in undergrad engineering. I'm considering law school since I have a higher verbal IQ. Have you have any experience with people with such a background?

The most common path for Engineering -> Law is to become a patent attorney. They make good money (assuming you can find a job in an area you'd want to live), but make sure that's actually a job you want to do. It can be pretty dry. The same can be said for some engineering positions, though.

If you've had some co-op experience by this point (which you should, truly), you should have some idea of what being an engineer is like. Having said that, there is so much variety in the engineering field, I haven't found anyone that hasn't discovered something they can at least put up with for a paycheck.

It's also worth noting that, no matter what happens, an engineering degree is at minimum a stamp of "I'm not completely retarded" -- but there are some seriously stupid engineers in the wild. Most of them are immigrant pajeets, though.

Good luck to you friend.
