Why did Japan declared war on America in wwII when they were aware the could not win the war ?

why did Japan declared war on America in wwII when they were aware the could not win the war ?
Does america really holds the moral ground against Japan in that war ?

here is some background :

1906: The San Francisco Board of Education successfully implements segregation for Asian students in public schools.
1913: The California Alien Land Law of 1913 bans Japanese from purchasing land;
1919 Paris Peace Conference Japan proposed ''The Racial Equality Proposal'' ascan amendment to the treaty of versailles. but because of the opposition of Australia and the United States the proposal is rejected.
1924: The federal Immigration Act of 1924 banned immigration from Japan.

They weren't aware of that at all. Japs were just fresh off a rape spree in China and Korea, they thought they had the military superiority

They arent pussies like the USSR/Russia who we continue to cuck to this day. We cut off their oil, so instead of rolling over they said fuck you and cut a swath through the Pacific. Much respect and a worthy opponent.

we kept fucking with them and they took the bait
but we didn't think theyd be so serious about it so we spanked their ass back into fighting with metal sticks

they actually were, Yamamoto, the commander-in-chief of the Combined Fleet during World War II , and master mind of the attack on pearl harbour, was a special student at Harvard from 1919 to 1921.

The japanese were a fucking terrifying opponent. They forced the largest us surrender in history, in the phillipines. put our men on a death march, and were often known as the invincible imperial army until we FINALLY started beating them back. They weren't fucking around.

(((the japs)))

To be fair, and this is something generally not
talked about in American academics, we kind
of pushed Japan into attacking us in the first
place. Roosevelt wanted in the war but the American people did not. We embargoed Japans oil and steel, and various other raw materials before the attack.
They (probably) would have attacked us anyway, in fact i'm sure of it. But it was an incentive. Japan relied almost exclusively on imports from America and European colonies
in southeast asia for trade and supplies for it's war machine.

actually from they took tremendous defeats after defeats right at the beginning of the war : Midway, guadalcanal, philippines, iwo jima, okinawa ...

(Checked)
Frozen money assets and oil embargo is equivalent to declaring war.
We needed more resources to continue fighting Communists and Jews, and since those groups controlled your country, they had to start war with us.
Roosevelt was Jewish, and so were the Manhattan Project members.
Pearl Harbor was a military target.
The Plutonium bomb in Nagasaki destroyed a church near the centre.
You had it coming.

US embargoed oil and steel to Japan after Japan sieged China and prevented America from supplying them weapons.

Japan needed to invade a phillipine Island for the Oil Reserves needed to keep going. They knew this would trigger a US counter-attack, so they attack Pearl Harbor to limit the US offensive capabilities in South East asia.

In fact the nuclear bombings of Japan were done so America could establish bases in Japan and hold control of the South East post war.

They could have though. It was shitty luck on their part the aircraft carriers were out of the harbor. Had we lost those there would have been no pacific war.

>apan needed to invade a phillipine Island for the Oil Reserves
there is no oil in the philippines

If Russia were nuked(twice) they would never bow down to their aggressor like Japan did nowadays. I can guarantee you that.
Something looks very wrong with a short cool beheading a white man.

How dare you.
Jews run your entire country.
Our only problem is Koreans in the Yakuza and media.
Roosevelt, Rabbi Stephen Wise, Ernest Hooton, etc. were all Jewish. You allied with the (((Soviets))) while we allied with the Reich!

>. It was shitty luck on their part
not sure if it's luck because america broke the japanse communication codes, and perhaps they were aware an attack was coming, they just were not sure it was on pearl harbour or somerwhere else.

I believe it might have been big quantity of oil reserves held on an Island they were after

Might have been Indonesian instead can't remember

>while we allied with the Reich!
then why not attacking russia together with germany instead of right wing china ?
is it because you peed your pants against russia in the battle of Khalkhin Gol few years earlier ?

yes it's in indonesia

All you need to wreck Russia is cross their Navy's T at Tsushima and the faggots will rush to the negotiation table.

WW2 was the biggest scam kikes pulled off. They've literally played every side, including nazis.
And USA as the best goys helped them.

Btw, the Soviets did plenty of bowing to us without discharging a nuke.

For starters, you'd know all about 20th century defeats frog. Furthermore, the beginning of the Pacific war was nothing but victories for Japan. Go read a history book and prepare for Abdul, faggot.

>Roosevelt wanted in the war but the American people did not. We embargoed Japans oil and steel, and various other raw materials before the attack.
in 1941, President Franklin Roosevelt seizes all Japanese assets in the United States in retaliation for the Japanese occupation of French Indo-China.

On July 24, Tokyo decided to strengthen its position in terms of its invasion of China by moving through Southeast Asia. Given that France had long occupied parts of the region, and Germany, a Japanese ally, now controlled most of France through Petain’s puppet government, France “agreed” to the occupation of its Indo-China colonies. Japan followed up by occupying Cam Ranh naval base, 800 miles from the Philippines, where Americans had troops, and the British base at Singapore.

President Roosevelt swung into action by freezing all Japanese assets in America. Britain and the Dutch East Indies followed suit. The result: Japan lost access to three-fourths of its overseas trade and 88 percent of its imported oil. Japan’s oil reserves were only sufficient to last three years, and only half that time if it went to war and consumed fuel at a more frenzied pace. Japan’s immediate response was to occupy Saigon, again with Vichy France’s acquiescence. If Japan could gain control of Southeast Asia, including Malaya, it could also control the region’s rubber and tin production—a serious blow to the West, which imported such materials from the East. Japan was now faced with a dilemma: back off of its occupation of Southeast Asia and hope the oil embargo would be eased—or seize the oil and further antagonize the West, even into war.

rude boy, philippines and malaysia were easy targets, the real army was in pearl harbour, rude boy, and this army inflicted humiliating defeats to the japanese since the very beginning of the war
I know my history better than you do rude boy

>President Roosevelt swung into action
More like rolled with the occasional leg wobble.

>Malaysia
>easy target

>the beginning of the Pacific war was nothing but victories for Japan

Starting a fight with a sucker punch gives you a big advantage

The fact is, the victory of U.S. civilized Japan. If not for that, they'd be little better than short psychopaths to this day.

butthurt japanese detected

codes weren't broken till mid-war

>wrecking old battleships in the age of carrier aviation
>advantage
Sure champ, sure.

>Japanese were military geniouses
>Perl harbour was a useless attack

pick one and fuck off

>Does america really holds the moral ground against Japan in that war ?
>Implying that matters in a war

no, they were broken before the war. Look at the battle of midway on google

>I have no response to counter your sources
I'd say something to mock the French, but you guys or more shitskin these days.

If you kill your enemies, they win.

Why didn't the japs push north in search for oil, tho as suggested?
I mean, I get the geopolitical context was tensse, and despite what american education teaches, the US already took for granted Japanese confrontation after the embargo.
But by July Hitler had already confronted the Soviets, so why not pinch them by the east?

Who said they were military geniuses cuck?
Lol, what a faggot.

>so why not pinch them by the east?
because japan was butthurt against Germany when they refused to declare war on soviet russia when japan tried to invade mongolia controlled by the russians. At that time, the anticomintern pact was signed by germany and japan, stipulating that if one attacked russia, the other should join.
But instead, germany abandoned japan, and signed a non agression pact with stalin

This guy is just mad because they lost French Indochina. In regards to your question the Japs and Slavs had a non-aggression treaty in place.

>non-aggression treaty in place.
that they had to sign because germany refused to join the war against russia, making them loose against the soviets in the battle of khalkhin gol
please dry your tears

English teacher spotted

>Khalkhin Gol
>loss
Only because Stalin threw waves of subhumans at them. Tactically the Japs bled the Soviets, especially in tank and crew losses
en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/Battles_of_Khalkhin_Gol
Now losing to a bunch of rice farmers at Dien Bien Phu, that will make any frog cry, lol.

Help "liberate" nations
Restrictions to Japan, later an embargo.

Japs didn't really ally with the reich though. You were "allied" but had non-aggression pacts with their biggest enemy and never lifted a finger against them after getting whooped.

something about the french makes me hate them so much. I honestly dont feel bad for them getting replaced by muslims.

>Believing "MUH NANKING" Commie propaganda

Of all the threats to the West, Stoddard believed the Japanese were the most serious. He quotes early British envoys who described Japanese as “highly intelligent children” who could quickly acquire Western techniques. In the Russo-Japanese War of 1904-5 these “highly intelligent children,” shocked the world by becoming the first non-white nation in modern times to defeat a white nation. Since white hegemony was maintained not by love but by respect and fear, Russia’s defeat by Japan was, in Stoddard’s view, “a body blow to white ascendancy.”
Japanese writers and government officials were not shy about drawing conclusions from their victory, and soon began turning western ideas of supremacy on their heads. At the outbreak of the First World War, Japanese writer Yone Noguchi wrote that the conflict meant the ruin of whites. “It means the saddest downfall of the so-called western civilization; our belief that it was builded upon higher and sounder footing than ours was at once knocked down and killed; we are sorry that we somehow overestimated its happy possibility and were deceived and cheated by its superficial glory.”

Stoddard quotes a Japanese imperialist pronouncement written in 1916:
As for America — that fatuous booby with much money and much sentiment, but no cohesion, no brains of government … Well did my friend speak the other day when he called her people a race of thieves with the hearts of rabbits…
North America alone will support a billion people; that billion will be Japanese with their slaves. Not arid Asia, nor worn-out Europe (which, with its peculiar and quaint relics and customs should in the interests of history and culture, be in any case preserved), nor yet tropical Africa is fit for our people. But North America, that continent so succulently green, fresh, and unsullied — except for the few chattering mongrel Yankees — should have been ours by right of discovery; it shall be ours by the higher, nobler right of conquest.

Japan had a close to 100% chance of winning the war during the first 3 weeks form Pearl Harbour to Singapore. They squandered their advantage and lost their fleet at Midway, dooming their advance.

>lost their fleet at Midway
it was a major blow but they did not loose everything at all, they did not, they just lost some carriers, but they had plenty in reserve, enought to have superiority of naval power in guadalcanal

>Japan had a close to 100% chance
japan never had any chance of winning the war, the industrial power of america was far greater than japan

The Imperial Navy was gutted at Midway. Any success they had after was always to be futile as a result.

because america was better, not because of midway, japan still had its chance at guadalcanal and the philippines

That's not bowing to a cultural level. In Japan there is English in almost every single store on some level. There is American worship practically, and their military are the "self defense forces". They have to rewrite their constitution to be allowed to project force elsewhere.

>bowing
"Withdrawal of the Soviet Union's nuclear missiles from Cuba
Withdrawal of American nuclear missiles from Turkey and Italy"

Seems like a win-win.
is that why they have clean cities while we have niggers running around stabbing and sleeping homeless? Japan would have been just fine.

>becuase america was better
but I suggest to you that Japan was superior before losing their veteran pilots in and around Midway

but you have to consider that the americans hod no veteran pilots too in gualdalcanal, yet they won

This is why I still believe that Midway was crucial. The japanese were moving on momentum and their crack pilots may have made the difference in the campaign had they survived that engagement

dude, the zeros had no armor, a single bullet and they exploded, on the other hand the japs kept shooting at the american planes and they kept flying
american equipment was superior both on land, sea, and air. except at night where japs had superiro night vision equipment. But that didnt last with the developmen of the radar

Also military command in america made far better decisions than the japs

No. Japan had no chance to win the war in 1 vs 1 against the USA. But if Japan chose to attack Soviet Union during the German invasion, as planned, instead of attacking Pearl Harbor, Soviet Union would be finished, Japan would have solved its oil shortage with Baku's oil and the Axis would have won the war.

en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kantokuen

Why didn't the Japanese attack the Soviets? Did any German or Japanese high command ever comment on this?

this
without the siberian troops, the russians would perhaps not had the manpower to stop the invasion of moscow and stalingrad

>why did Japan declared war
*Why did japan declare war
Don't use past tense twice, I swear this bugs me off so much every time.

read the conversation, i explained it here

no you think wrong. The soviets forced the capitulation of Japan with their invasion

Political reasons, after the debacle in China the IJN became the dominant force in internal Japanese affairs and they favored the Southern Strike to secure oil. If you want a good book on the subject matter, check out Toland's Rising Sun

French user is bretty based and right on. For all purposes the US were the aggressors in the Pacific War, especially with the ultimatums issued to Japan before PH

what the hell are you talking about ?

So your saying we did not want to fund their war machine so it's on us for baiting them?

>the russians would perhaps not had the manpower to stop the invasion of moscow
They surely wouldn't have had the power to stop the German invasion. At the end of the year 1941, even Stalin was persuaded he lost the war and retired to his Datcha waiting for his removal from the communist party. An Eastern invasion would have 100 % certainly changed the fate of the war.

>French user is bretty based and right on.
thank you
>especially with the ultimatums issued to Japan before PH
which one ?

We bombed the shit out of the Japanese, dropped two Atomic bombs on them, and we still held the moral high ground.

specifically the Hull Ultimatium, it was politically untenable for the Japanese to accept both internally and on the world stage

As well as the US rejections of the several offers by Japan for a negotiated peace in China with the US being the mediating party

history is written by the winners
but i have to admit that america has a 85% approval rate in the japanese society, because you did not behave like doochebags with the japs after the invasion, because you desperately needed them against communist china invading korea 5 years after the war

if not for overwhelming technological supiriority and a few decisive good decisions on the US side japs would BTFO their shit .
and at the start of the war the goal of pushing the US out of asia\pacific was entirely achievable although nowhere near certain.

they also weren't pussies and were the only nation other then brits to declare war in WW2 without being sure they'd win.

>fuck over nip citizens in the US
>reeee fucking gaijins lets invade China, Korea, the Philippines, Dutch Indonesia, French Indochina, Burma, Singapore and fucking Alaska
>hory shiet what happened and why does my kid glow in the dark

Did everyone forget about the mass rapes?

>the mass rapes?
for better or worse, that's a pretty normal thing with war

No, there was no way Japan would have won against the USA, even with better technology and better commanders. The American industrial armament production capacity exceeded the Japanese by 4 or 5 times. Japan still was a rural society.
With planes for example :
en.wikipedia.org/wiki/World_War_II_aircraft_production

>master mind of the attack on pearl harbour
christ, you are digging pretty deep to create a retarded tier false narrative of history. you really think that the start of japan's annoyance with the US stems from san francisco segregating their public schools? that's fucking retarded and you are an idiot.
>mastermind of the attack on pearl harbor went to harvard
>implying you need to go to an ivy league school to tell gooks to go suicide bomb some shitty island

What is the alternate, or true story on what the nips did to the chinks? I've never heard anyone refute it. Just curious.

a lot of civilians died during the taking of Nanking sure, but there wasn't a slaughter. It's mostly propaganda that the US and British started pushing since they were supporting the Chinese factions. It was then later adopted by the CCP as an example of "imperialism"

Their could've won. Their objective in pearl harbord was to fully immobilize USA ships and career to be free to advance in the pacific. But their intel was wrong/old since most of the ships were not in Pearl Harbord.
With no fleet to counter Japan USA would have no other choice than abandoning the pacific islands to japan .
That was their plan.

>Roosevelt wanted in the war
^ this
Roosevelt was a miserable crippled bully. He nitpicked and micromanaged everyone around him.
A condescending arsehole with a phony grin on his face whenever a camera was nearby.

If any president ever deserved to be shot, it was him.

How can Japan even compete ?

irrelevant , their goal wasnt to outproduce USA in terms of military industry , only to harm the USA enough to make the pacific\east asia not worth it to the USA . thats why they started the war by trying to cripple the american fleet . the goal was a swift and decisive attack to take over many islands and then they wanted the war to stalemate and for the US to eventually fuck off.

i mean the north vietnamese later managed to do enough damage to make the US pussy out and they were nowhere near as evenly matched to the us as WW2 era japan .

japs basically wanted an ocean-wide vietnam war

It was a preemptive strike, they knew the muricans where comming for them sooner or later

They hoped that they would still be so far in their isolationism/depression that they would have a hard time to scramble any worth while resistance

The strike on pearl harbor ultimately failed since a large part of the american navy (battleships and carriers) where not present

Imo tehy should have abandond the pacific expansion and focused on main land asia

They would probably have bougth 4-5 years before murica decided to get involved, they would have plenty of time to secure the needed materials to build a strong navy

Also stupid admiral lostthe entire navy in a matter of hours because he orderd to rearm all the planes, leaving literal tonnes of ammo on the ship decks

If the battle of midway played out in jap favor muricans may have needed to abondond the pacific campaing for time being

Makes sense, sounds really (((familiar)))

>stalemate
The possession of the pacific islands was irrelevant to the issue of the war. With the overwhelming American industrial capacity, Japan would have seen his maritime and aircraft fleets annihilated in the long term. Following that :
- 1) it would have entirely lost China
- 2) Japan would be bombed the same way as Germany was, leaving no factory / town standing
- 3) Japan would have then surrendered without conditions
And I don't even mention the soviet plans to invade Hokkaido and other Allies willing to directly lose millions of men to end this war

this

but consider the hull note

>comeback an economic powerhouse in the 80s
>Holyshit Buckaroo, the Nips just Pearl Harbored the U.S. Steel, electronics and auto industries
>Yeehaw why is my kid a weeb and Detroit looks like a dystopian mix of 80s Robocop and post A-bomb Nagasaki?
Shiggidydiggidy

True.

>Not having a country worth firebombing

>all these non-answers
The Japanese hoped to cripple the American Navy and make it seem to the American people that there was no avenue for success. They believed that the attack on Pearl Harbor would reduce the strength of the American Navy to the point that it couldn't realistically expect to wage a protracted naval war against them. That way the superior American industry wouldn't be able to play a factor in the war. They would crush the Americans while they were off-guard, conquer their way all the way up to Hawaii, then use their success as leverage for a white peace so that they would have time to snag other territory. Their plan failed because they missed several key ships. They sank more battleships than anything, and this came at the point in which battleships started to pale in comparison to aircraft carriers.

This documentary is phenomenal. The only issue is that it says that the invasion of Alaska was a diversionary measure when it actually wasn't.
