It does and it doesn't, communism and socialism are an ideal society but the implementation of this is absurd in and of it self and while I do agree that it violates a lot of basic human instincts and at scale would be impossible. I try to learn about both extremes of politics and come to a conclusion of what can be done to mediate the divide to form my political opinion.
Again, while I understand the reasoning for it, what the left is proposing is stagnation and appeasement. The rights authoritarian model can become just as corrupt and relies on a leader that can with stand power not corrupting so it is in a sense just as absurd, but the advantage here is that one decent leaders rule would outweigh a century of stagnation.
Honestly libertarian would be a great model but would only work with a high trust and motivated society that are willingly working together, and with no central figure that isnt possible.

Your materialist view of history doesn't hold: Chinese had the ships to map the earth yet they just didn't. They had the stability and resources to develop a market system but didn't. Westerners constantly revolutionized their systems. And constantly explored new methods. Individual achievement became important in the west too. This all formed during the fall of the roman empire when europe was a melee of fighting tribes.
