It's pretty well known around Illinois that once the failed Chicago Housing projects were torn down, the gangs that were isolated to that small section of city by the wealthy class of chicago (in soulless commie-block style buildings that would make Stalin blush) had now no other choice but to spread across the neighborhoods and across the state to other public and low-income housing.
Where I grew up in Central IL saw significant effects from this, though not as much as some other areas such as Urbana and Decatur, but you get the idea.

I had an idea as to how right wing safety squads could save a place like Detroit.
Would need some former military types. Basically, buy a house, preferably a corner house. Get like 16 guys, two squads of 8 and set the place up like a barracks. Have four armed guards on duty at all times. Two in front, two in back. Have the guys work and save up money to buy the land next to the house and just keep doing that until you have a whole block.
After you have a full block, you can make it so the corner houses are like guard towers and all the houses between are for families, and in the center of the block can be a fenced in area for the families to get together and kids can play in safety.
And you just go block by block from there. Would take a generation at least, but I think it would work.

They also rent it out for parties to other people and *other* things, make the drugs, store the weapons, have meetings, etc. What I mean is that trap houses don't get discovered as frequently as you'd expect, so using a house for some sort of military stakeout isn't all that different. It wouldn't be an overnight thing tho. I said you get like 16 guys in one house and slowly buy up a block. As you buy up the block more guys move in, but after a couple houses normal non militant types could move in as long as they're flanked by guard houses. So by the end you'd only have maybe one squad per guard house totaling 32 guys, roughly a platoon per block.
And I agree, they'd probably get uppity from dealing with blacks, but that'd be part of the reclaiming of the city desu. They'd just have to use their white intelligence to not be niggers about the situation. A shoot out does no one any good.
