What am I in for?

What am I in for?

Annddd it flipped last time I'll be posting from my phone in the washroom

the reality that the rest of the world will try to convince you is not the reality because it makes them feel weak, insecure and frightened

also a window into how all women really think but won't admit

A shitty love story.

Start with the Greeks

Homoerotic train fiction

Monotony

Unbounded autism. But otherwise it's a good criticism of communism. But then so is animal farm, and you could read that in an evening.

A long, winding, and rambling book.

A decent read. It's not a bible so don't make it a religion.

wasn't she a huge hypocrite irl

It's repetitive and long winded. That money is good speech is fucking like 100 pages long. I liked the architect book better Whatever it was called.

tl;dr: the novel.

doesn't really matter. you could say the weak and dependent are in a natural position to understand better than anyone the importance of being strong and independent

Honestly, the male heroes in the story are not terrible, though Objectivism is like babby's first right-wing philosophy. Let's not forget Objectivism is a Jewish cult who's answer to communism was a system equally as materialistic. Alan Greenspan, the Jew who exacerbated the housing crisis in 2008 was a member of Rand's inner circle.

Good economics, meme-tier philosophy, and one of the most forced stories ever. Anthen and We the Living are worth reading. Atlas Shrugged sucks; just read the John Galt speech. Fountianhead also sucks; just read the court speech. The rest is trash.

shit

Checked and also that book was just as bad. Anthem was good, We the Living was at least interesting and nuanced. Fountianhead and Atlas Shrugged are shit.

>What am I in for?
A long, long, long boring read by a useless Jewess who wants to pretend she's one of the contributors to civilization.

this

ITT all the people whom this book makes feel insecure and frightened about the reality of the world trying to shrug off and discredit the work with "bu bu bu but it's not very well written!"

same way people perpetually say "mein kampf isn't well written!" as a cheap way to put down hitler rather than engage him on the merits of what he says when obviously the book WASNT EVEN WRITTEN IN ENGLISH (mein kampf, that is)

Laughably terrible book.

All the 'good' characters speak with exactly the same voice and read each other's minds. All the 'bad' characters are impossibly stupid straw men.

I gave up after the 50 page or whatever rant after she lands the plane (which she can inexplicably fly because all the good characters are super geniuses singly capable of everything) in the mountains.

Oh and a good chunk of it is RAPE FANTASY 'EROTICA' that made me literally sick.

I liked fountainhead better. Whores got treated how they deserved

its awesome

its basically a heroic story of how we arent equal at all, how some people are like atlas, carrying the whole world, and how jealous commies and those preaching equality are scum
can serve as an inspiration

>I gave up after the 50 page or whatever rant
John Galts monologue of doom is painful. But it's worth finishing the book if you got that far.

Just play Bioshock. I remember it being fun.

You won't get the same insight from a game that you could get from not only a book, but from the original source.

Whatever money she got on government assistance was far less than all the taxes she "paid" in her lifetime. Taxation is theft regardless.

Got that far like 10 or more years ago.

I rarely give up on books (and I read a LOT), so that says something about how terrible this one is.

I always felt bad for reliable Eddie being left behind in the destroyed world.

You're in for a 50 page long speech that says nothing more than "a is a".

A long read.
It is a great story, but it doesn't deal with the fact that in Ancapistan monopolies and cartels would eventually squash all competition. It takes deregulation to the point of being a meme. It does make a few excellent points about a citizen's responsibility to provide for themselves, how hard work and talent will get you to the top, how the poor are poor because they choose to be, socialism is bad, etc. I tend to agree with it's notion that selfishness is a good trait. If everyone voted in their own self interest the will of the majority would by default be heard.
I thoroughly enjoyed that book. Finished it in less than a week.

I don't really enjoy much fiction but this and the Fountainhead are great. Atlas Shrugged is about the prefect society and the Fountainhead about the perfect man. I prefer the Fountainhead.

Says a beta male who is incapable of taking a woman. Women want to be taken, they don't want you to ask their permission. They want you to take them. Every rape fantasy a woman had was consensual, its not actual rape. Its just an aggressive, forceful, and carnal version of sex. Secondly the book is a story of fictional heroes not average NEET's like you who do nothing with their lives. Why the fuck would anyone write a book about useless people. If you are so upset that a few of the main characters (who are titans of industry) can fly planes then you are retarded.

>which she can inexplicably fly because all the good characters are super geniuses singly capable of everything

I know a lot of businessmen who learned how to fly to get to appointments quicker.
Makes no sense to ride a train or get stuck in traffic for hours when you can have your own plane or helicopter.
Plus it's an expensive and exclusive hobby.

It's not at all unrealistic that some of the most intelligent and wealthy people would take an interest in piloting during the advent of flying.

>the fact that in Ancapistan monopolies and cartels would eventually squash all competition

How is that a fact? And what does this have to do with the book?

a good read
skip the speech near end, everyone does, finished the book then go back an skim read it, the book covers the ideas
this is a red pill, it will rewire your brain
there are NGOs funded to do nothing but talk shit about this book online, because it will rewire your brain
It's a fucking great book
best book I ever read - handles the intricacies of the world so well and is more relevant today than when written
predicts everything
including the FUCKING "FOREIGN AID" "USAID" and "MUH CLIMATE SCIENCE INSTITUTE" niggertry.

No, animal farm doesn't cover what this covers at all - you missed what was important - how people are damned even if they give money, how a few lift up the many, even without a socialist structure
here is so much in this

Read this afterwards

Like with anything, the answer lies in the middle.

No I did get all that, I was just offering the lazier choice, considering AF is about 50 pages.

I enjoyed it as a dystopian science fiction novel.

and yeah the 70 page speech is a bit of a drag.

a
really
long
book

its also oversimplified to be interesting to me. like she spells everything out. Explains it to you like you dont know how to think.

tl;dr I'ts libertarianism for leftys

She needed a damn good editor.
