>Humans just lead short, boring, insignificant lives, so they make up stories to feel like they're a part of something bigger. They want to blame all the world's problems on some single enemy they can fight, instead of a complex network of interrelated forces beyond anyone's control.
Is this the most red-pilled quote from a children's cartoon?
>make up stories to feel like they're part of something bigger. They want to blame all the world's problems on some single enemy they can fight
Isn't that the plot of the show?
Landon Ward
>*burrrrrppp*G-God isn't real Morty! Only idiots think there's some magical sky fairy that controls e-everything. A-and the Holocaust? Never happened bro. T-Think about it.
Christian James
>umans just lead short, boring, insignificant lives, so they make up stories to feel like they're a part of something bigger. They want to blame all the world's problems on some single enemy they can fight, instead of a complex network of interrelated forces beyond anyone's control.
Couldn't be anymore of a Jewish writer self-inserting themselves through a cartoon character for children.
Brandon Parker
I fucking hate that show. Steven Universe only gets a pass because it's wholesome and kind instead of being "edgy"
Asher Rivera
its a show about a man who has a harem of attractive women (in universe mind you) do what he says

It's the most nihilistic. Holy shit what a bunch of Marxist, post modernist garble
Isaiah Gomez
How did you get that message from the quote? It's just telling people that issues are a lot more complex than "blame Trump", "blame the jews" or, "blame Russia"
Liam Martin
The funny thing is, the cartoon with most hidden gems in its dialogue is the one that appears to be the stupidest/most ridiculous in premise and style.
Yes, I am speaking of the Amazing World of Gumball. It looks dumb as fuck, but if you pay attention every now and then they sneak in some redpilled remarks. Like the episode where Darwin becomes a dictator to make everyone safe, lel
Ryder James
Typical hollywood jewish nihilism - just give in and do nothing goy

No this is not red pilled. It's nihilistic bullshit which is a legacy from the Frankfurt school and post modernism.
It would be more red pilled to say that life actually has meaning and the world is made of love if you can open to it, rather than fending it off with wordy theories that don't mean anything.
Isaac Lewis
Couldn't have said it better myself. Gas the kikes, race war now.
Hudson Bailey
Significance to Marxists is the absolution of will.
Even those that claim to be for liberty and freedom of choice only do it because they believe that these choices arise from forces we can't control..
Basically these people are deterministic pieces of shit. Free-will does not exist to them and any expression of free will that goes against their narrative is seen as insignificant or hateful.
Hunter Nguyen
Wait, really? Care to show us?
Oliver Diaz
You know who else was inspired by Nihilism? The Nazis.

Just watch the show lol its pretty good. It's the best of what CN has had to offer lately after adventure time turned to shite
Jordan Miller
yes. good goy everything is meaningless and there's no point to anything
Caleb Cooper
it's really not. it deals with pretty mature issues for a 'kids show', but none of it's the typical SJW shit. basically the closest they get to SJW shit is teaching about consent (as in sexual consent) through DBZ-style character fusion - but the specific messages aren't any kind of SJW insanity, it's basically just stressing the importance of consent by giving examples of different breaches and how they play out emotionally for the involved character (badly).
And it's not like that's the extent of the mature themes, it's just one of many, the rest of which have absolutely no connection to cultural marxism (mourning/grief, parental abandonment/neglect, burden of power/authority, practical limits of pacifism).
It's also had civilian firearm ownership/use portrayed positively/neutrally, for basically the first time in US kids TV since the 60s or 70s.

All animators make porn - the only reason anyone studies and practices drawing and animation is so they can get better at making porn... and then occasionally some of them will also make cartoons or comics.
I guarantee if the original Disney animators were alive today they'd all be constantly, anonymously posting r34 of characters on tumblr and co
Christopher Morales
>talking about cartoons made for little kids and manchildren

But that is Blatanly Fase because the Only Humans worth a damn are Greg, who Sucrose has a lady boner for, and arguably Connie. The Rest are a bunch of incredibly boring retards who are two stupid and incompetent to even Notice that Xenos how Been Living on their Planet for Years, or Develop a planetary defense against others.

It's complete SJW faggotry. That's why the characters are all ugly as shit and look like a bunch of random polygons duct taped together. Can't have anything even approaching attractive! That would make fat ugly losers feel like, well, fat ugly losers!
And you said it yourself, they try to teach little kids about consent through FUSION-RAPE SCENARIOS.
Also it's just objectively bad. The plot is faggy shit, the voice acting is the worst i've EVER heard (GOT TO HAVE DIVERSITY IN THE CASTING, NOT ABILITY, HELLO SJW FAGGOTRY).
Your favourite cartoon is shit and you're a faggot for watching it.
You don't belong here and you deserve death for encouraging the existence of this brain washing tool.

You expect us to believe that in 20 years you never drew a naughty picture of a waifu or a pair of tits?
Why must you turn this board into a house of life?

Pretty true.

The music, art, and animation is top notch for a western cartoon though. That alone makes it worth checking out.
This is the funniest rebuttal to this quote on the internet.

Reminder that just today they halted production of and edited the content of their newly released artbook because it contained a rough sketch of a black character with light lips. Tumblr saw this and freaked the fuck out.
Cancelled all production and the creator had to issue a public apology.

Wish I was lying. I started as soon as I was old enough to hold a pencil and was on medication that killed my libido until my early twenties, so my waifu pics were purely nonsexual for an upsettingly long time.

>And I'm just so much above that. People tell stories as a way of articulating and passing down qualities and virtues that are ideal for survival and reproduction. Slaying the dragon is a metaphor for the ungodly horrors that humans have always had to protect them and theirs from. I'll give the show the benefit of the doubt and assume it was just trying to make a cute and self-aware crack, but if you think that's redpilled, you need to gas yourself.

Real men enjoy relationships that have honesty and loyalty, as well. Laughter and keks are good too, and it doesn't hurt to be generous and kind either.

>They want to blame all the world's problems on some single enemy they can fight, instead of a complex network of interrelated forces beyond anyone's control. She should elaborate on these "interrelated forces." It sounds like she's trying to take an apathetic approach towards finding the solutions to these problems. Such as, the terrorist problem?
>Humans are naturally violent. That's something that can't be controlled. Instead of blaming Islam for the recent spike in terrorist attacks, you should accept that this is just human nature.
Apathy is death.
Jacob Rivera
What does this even mean? It's not the (((jews))), but actual coincidences?
Being redpilled means understanding that it's best that most people don't comprehend their relative significance or the way things work. People's collective will (not talking some New Age bullshittery, just an expression) is a blunt instrument, not a fine tool. Knowing doesn't help, and it usually confuses and hinders people more. You can't fight an enemy you don't understand, so it necessitates presenting problems in a simplistic manner. Convince people something needs to be done, they give you the power or money to do it, then you carry it out in the complex manner you never fully explained.
The average retard won't understand when you explain that an investment now will pay dividends in the future, they just want higher social security payments or for you to "fix" something now. Making social and cultural changes to combat poverty? Ridiculous, we obviously just aren't throwing enough money at it.
If politicians are truly frustrated that nothing gets done and not just pandering to voters who feel that way, they only have themselves to blame for trying to treat their constituents like equals and addressing problems in a straightforward way.
People are valuable, even the stupid ones. Manipulating them to help themselves isn't diminishing that. Throwing up your hands and saying "welp I tried to be honest and they just didn't want to be helped" shows you have no interest in actually doing any good, just patting yourself on the back.
Muh dignity and freedom of choice. Kids are getting heart problems from the shit they eat before they turn 13 and we cut space funding to pay for trannies' surgeries but at least people are blazing their own path :)
David Moore
Addressing the concept that individuals are not influential, I'd say it's true in a sense, but ultimately the wrong way to look at things. One person isn't important, but their ability to influence other is.
The black guys that have been killed in cases of "police brutality" are still just hood rats. They aren't important. But yet they've been raised up as if they were. Their significance only extends as far as people's perception of it. Them dying convinced people there was an institutional problem in the justice system. Those people have given all of us a big headache and had their movement had any substance they might have accomplished something. So you see, the only way to get things done is to use lots of easily manipulated people to do it. Hate to use the example because it's blown out of proportion enough already, but think of Rosa Parks. I've seen homeless people being stubborn on public transport. The incident itself isn't exceptional, but the fact it spread and inspired people is.
It's all perceptions. That's why Russian intelligence is better than ours. CIA tries to overthrow governments, arm rebels, etc. KGB and now FSB (I think) use low cost disinformation campaigns to steer public opinion. This whole thing with Trump many have been an elaborate ruse to shake Americans faith in our institutions, not putting their favored candidate in office. Soviet propaganda and subversion likely spurned on the civil rights movement and regardless of how you feel about the social changes it most certainly weakened the United States on the whole.
Leo Ross
>Is this the most red-pilled quote from a children's cartoon?
>statement about how stupid humans are and that they can't understand the bigger picture because their lives are too short to grasp it
>written down by a human >whose life is too short to find out if there's a bigger picture that we are missing out on due to our life span
No, it's really just the mindset of a cuck. >I don't feel like doing anything but that makes me look bad, so I'll just wrap some pseudo-ideology around it and pretend it's actually really deep

I wrote this in a private conversation discussing this quote but I thought I should share it with you all. I am interested in hearing counters.
"They want to blame all the world's problems on some single enemy they can fight," This addresses a person or idea that represents something to ignorantly fight against as if it were merely a scapegoat,
"...instead of a complex network of interrelated forces beyond anyone's control." whereas this can be interpreted two ways. The first interpretation can be said that instead of a person or idea that represents something to fight against, it is rather a complex orchestra of many that are all at odds with each other while simultaneously being out of anyone's control. Or, the second interpretation, which can be understood as natural forces.
This is a fallacy either way: if multiple people or ideas that represent different things are at odds with each other, are they not controlled? And if nature were responsible for such a thing in the first place, would nature not be responsible for it as a single enemy? With the idea of nature being an enemy, with enough philosophical ribbon-pulling from a hat, you could conclude everything to be the fault of nature. The second part of the quoted statement being made here is also implying that free will is something that does not exist, which directly contradicts the very idea of believing that nature, not God, is responsible for the so called "complex network of interrelated forces beyond anyone's control". At least, that is to assume that Steven Universe is generally Atheistic which I believe it to be. And just as a note, God and nature are not mutually exclusive, of course, but this is besides my point.
Jace Thomas
Essentially my conclusion is that OP, having referred to this quote as "red pilled", is an absolute nitwit. I find the Steven Universe quote to be very potently stupid, something only a Reddit hat tipper would find astonishingly deep after having put zero thought into truly pondering it. How could they? They haven't even read the Greeks.
