Diversity is shoved down our throats are diverstie's sake. Dungeons & Dragons (a roleplaying game) have recently started ret-conning major lore characters to be black or Asian, male gods of the setting that were created in the early 70's are now randomly female/herm instead of male. On the D&D subreddit (and in groups around the world) there's a talks about encouraging male players to play female character more often. RPGfags are major advocates of diversity, there are practically no 'redpilled' RPG players out there. In all RPG games, women are just as strong as men which is unrealistic.
Let's be real back in medieval days the vast majority of women were whores, peasant wifes, nuturing mothers or passive virgin princesses.
What if I play a trap elf who is definitly not gay. She (male) just likes the balance of female armor.
Chase Smith
Pen & Paper, video games, comics have a male target
men like fights and boobs. That's why the media is full of good looking woman
Mason Thompson
faggot
Jackson Lewis
I couldn't care less if they show up in fantasy settings. It bothers me when they push this shit in historical titles.
Sebastian Bell
Because it's fantasy lol.
Eli Diaz
dude, shut the fuck up.
is part of the feminist agenda. personally I never play as a woman, I can't imagine what a dumber and weaker person would do, so I can't roleplay as a woman
Noah Mitchell
Same reason you get lots of blacks as knights and medieval warriors. Their own history is primarily devoid of such glamour and excitement and they just really really think swords and bows and stuff are fun.
To be honest it's perfectly harmless right up until they try to turn it into a political or historical revisionist statement. At that point it's no longer about the fun anyway, so why should I be expected to accept it?
Cameron Martinez
agree. like the nigger characters in the BBC series about Troy

>In all RPG games, women are just as strong as men which is unrealistic >in games... unrealistic
The good news is that it's just a game. The bad news is that there no cure for your autism.
Elijah White
>Why are women warriors so prevalent in fantasy literature and RPG videogames? Why are elves and dragons so common in fantasy? Because they're cool and unrealistic. The character I'm playing now I was going to have be female but that'd be weird. Think he'll just crossdress instead, a gnome in a dress could pull off looking like a preteen girl.
Anthony Bennett
if you aren't going full female then isn't it just crossdressing?
Samuel Smith
this is an historical revisionist statement.
The same people who think it is okay to put nigger in historical Europe would go ape shit if somebody would make a movie about Shaka Zulu and make him white
Aaron Rivera
Checking these gets.
Carson Reyes
Because RPG's are role playing games and women are a role, to play.
Also this.
Isaac Wilson
denial : the post
Liam Rodriguez
>fantasy OP really is a fucking dumbass
Dylan Smith
>Why are women warriors so prevalent in fantasy literature and RPG videogames? >fantasy literature >fantasy
That thread where OP answers their own question in the question itself.
Levi Moore
nerds are all betas and will kow-tow to whatever they percieve as an authority figure, i.e. the dangens and drogans whatever, shop? company?
Brody Morris
I had some weird hookups with a crazy athlete girl in college and now I can only fantasize about getting fucked up by strong women :(
Logan Bell
I have a theory on why jews are trying to put females in position of authority because females are seen to be more lenient towards jews and they historically vote left [sorry couldn't find the source for this claim, some other user could help me?].
not to mention that leftist women get worshiped by betas orbiters meanwhile AntiNWO Females get ostracized by the men of their movement. so again all the more probably that women who reach places of power will be worthless ZOG scum so I assume that is why they like them so much of lately.
Brody Cook
>Dungeons & Dragons (a roleplaying game) have recently started ret-conning major lore characters to be black or Asian, male gods of the setting that were created in the early 70's are now randomly female/herm instead of male. Which setting are you talking about? D&D consists of a multiverse with all sorts of different settings. It's not a setting in and of itself, rather it has certain concepts for gods and races written into its rulebooks that can be inserted easily into whatever setting you use. The biggest setting by far is Faerun, which is the setting of the Forgotten Realms franchise, but I haven't seen or heard of any such retcons, and I can't imagine the setting even needing them for that. The most iconic character from the franchise (by my estimation, anyway. I can't imagine anyone but Grenwood himself being a fan of Elminster) is a Drow elf (nigger elf) with a black panther companion.
Benjamin Ramirez
Because we like looking at women.
Brody Phillips
>passive virgin princesses Until you travel to the court of the Holy Roman Empire and the Heir Apparent conspires with satanic Catholic priests to kidnap you and rape you for the purposes of a Black Sacrament, but you live through it and prove to the Emperor that this took place to you and he disavows his own son and heir.
Nicholas Cooper
explain.
stop watching porn, helpless orbiter.
Robert Butler
You're not alone there
Ryan Fisher
Well OP was talking primarily about fantasy universes.
Angel Bailey
Who wants to look at a fucking dudes ass all day.
Xavier Cook
tracked the liberals.
James Perez
I'm going to guess he means Greyhawk. But i dont know why anyone would even read lore after 4e. >Drow elf (nigger elf) Drow have a beautiful culture of living underground and eating dirt.
Lucas Barnes
the good thing about Pen&Paper is your can do whatever you like. You could run a campaign where you help Hitler to kill all jews
You can ignore all the MUH DIVERSITY changes they made
Asher Wilson
you don't look at his ass. you ARE him you fucking idiot.
that is the point of the character. you dumbass.
Ryder Perez
nigga i don't play DnD or any tabletops but I just know the fantasy trope of unrealistic gender equality them. I've played Pillars of Eternity and Skyrim and that's about it
Grayson Hughes
if Im him why am I looking at myself from third person?
Landon Brooks
>that flag
>fully retarded
checks out
Jacob Carter
I miss playing crazy dyke characters back when it was funny, not like this...not like this
Luis Brooks
how were they different compared to today?
Evan Jones
OP must be talking about all the fags who play 4E. Redpilled nerds play 3.5
Josiah Harris
Women do nothing but selfishly consume things that they relate to.
They're the perfect market for vapid power fantasy books. They're probably written by algorithms these days because women would never notice.
Elijah Cox
3.5 is a broken pain in the ass with little reward.
Brandon Gonzalez
Teen boys want eye candy.
I personally hate helpless women, both in media and reality. Women should be made to be genuinely strong and resilient. Western cultures idea of empowerment is often the opposite of this.
My gf used to fight mma (over 30 fights under her belt. She's willing to tank punches to get her hands on her opponent. It's the reason we're together.
Levi Rivera
That's really it right there.
Josiah Morales
Because girls are cute. You really want to read a thousand pages and a video game about some dude or about some kawaii fucking bitches?
Jeremiah Ortiz
Because mostly lonely, straight guys play D&D, and like to watch jiggly bits happen?
Alexander Lewis
So, you're just talking out your ass? Fucking hell, you're like people complaining about a comic series being changed when you dont even read that series or any comics. 4e is cool, if you just want fun streamlined combat. 5e is for fags. 3.5 is great, it has all the books
Dylan Morgan
Ive noticed some diversity in Pathfinder and a few other things (not really into /tg/). I can look past it though because I actually enjoy the Pathfinder adventure card game and its just fantasy shit anyway.
Camden Baker
^this, Op go play 3.5 like an adult and get out of the kids pool
Evan Ross
and it is easier to igore the diversity shit in Pen and Paper
Landon Mitchell
you wanna know my sollution? don't play DnD. don't play pathfinder [poz finder] don't watch Wonder Succubus or Game of Cucks. play myfarog or pirate DnD Cyclopedia and never buy another book [it hass all the info] that is how you just watch your hands from that mess.
>pic related. only get the cyclopedia, it has content for until lvl 30 and ascension to godhood and all rules you would ever need. are you still in puberty?
Asher Miller
A fa/tg/uy on Sup Forums. Neat.
Jaxon Ross
>unrealistic gender equality them The reason is game balance, retard. For male and female characters to not be mechanically identical would require a lot of shit.
Isaac Smith
i would love to see a Pen & paper RPG made by Sup Forums
Dominic Morgan
I guess you are right, though my character sometimes presents as a girl because it is easier than explaining to every Nov. And sometimes she thinks about having sex with her companions so they won't be so stressed. But thats fine because thats what friends do for eachother.
Grayson Hernandez
>it has all the books
With all of the completely broken classes and magic items. Ever play with a factotum?
Thomas Ortiz
Because it's written by pathetic virgin nerds who have failed at masculinity and outsource it at their ideal lovers. Next question
>Why are women warriors so prevalent in fantasy literature and RPG videogames?
Because art is a business and they want as wide an audience as possible. That means making it palatable to a mixed sex international audience. Fantasy started out as being based on European mythology but ever since role playing games came along it has been morphing into a universal culture. Look at Japan, they have plenty of their own myths but they still use European style fantasy instead of their own.
David Roberts
Pathfinder went full homoyay a few years ago when people realized they could make money off fag-enabling.
One of the biggest gods for paladins in pathfinder is 100% okay with gay marriage and if you're a paladins you have to consider anyone who doesn't like gays as True Evil.
Jayden Peterson
I always roll female characters in MMO's and other games because if I'm going to be staring at something for hours, I want it to be a qt and not some dudes ass.
Parker Cruz
I just like the card game. Know anything similar that isn't gay?
Ryan Cooper
kek not bad
Gavin Baker
>With all of the completely broken classes and magic item That's part of the fun. >Ever play with a factotum No, because I've never played with anyone whose read the book it's from. I've heard of it but don't really see what's broken about it.
Ethan Richardson
What is so broken about it?
Juan Ward
SJW's love that shit because it's literally a fantasy world where anything can happen.
Kinda ironic since the ones who started the genre (tolkein, Lewis, etc) were traditionalists and the co founder of D&D was in the military.
Kevin Brown
this
Kayden Davis
Mundanes don't get nice things. Without casting it's hard to anything in a fight except "hit them until they die", where casters get save or die spells at 1st lvl.
Owen Jones
nice meme faggot
Ryan Campbell
Mostly the feat system. You get so few picks that your character is either minmaxed to do one thing well or cannot do anything well, depending on what class and race you are. The magic system is also completely bonkers, especially when you add in late-additions like Dungeonscape and Cityscape where the factotum is from.
The gameplay is also far too convoluted for its own good, combat is a very limited slog, the actual Golarion campaign setting is an SJW's wet dream, etc etc.
>No, because I've never played with anyone whose read the book it's from. I've heard of it but don't really see what's broken about it.
>Cunning Insight (Ex): >Before making an attack roll, damage roll, or saving throw, you can spend 1 inspiration point to gain a competence bonus on the roll equal to your Intelligence modifier. Cunning insight does not require an action, and you can use it as often as you wish during your turn or others’ turns—provided that you have the inspiration points to spend. Because this ability provides a competence bonus, it does not stack with itself.
>Brains over Brawn (Ex): >At 3rd level, you gain your Intelligence bonus as a modifier on Strength checks, Dexterity checks, and checks involving skills based on Strength or Dexterity, such as Hide, Climb, and Jump.
>Cunning Surge (Ex): >Starting at 8th level, you learn to push yourself when needed. By spending 3 inspiration points, you can take an extra standard action during your turn.
It's a superpowered rogue divine caster/regular caster skillmonkey of all trades. If you buy an item called a "Gnomish Quickblade" you can use Cunning Insight for fucking Iaijutsu attacks of all things.
Alexander Miller
There are plenty of table top groups that haven't been pozzed, the problem is that the popularization of "nerd culture" over past 15 years or so has attracted a new demographic the devlopers are now pandering too becuase they are more vocal and have largely displaced the original fan base. It's the same exact thing that happened to video games and comic books and for the same exact reason.
Jacob White
>i get horny looking at cartoon characters all day
ohh...oh wait...
Michael Harris
>Diversity is shoved down our throats This is one case where I wasn't complaining when I was a teenager.
It's a good alternative to sate and prevent the youth from looking at hardcore porn.
Christopher Adams
>playing any rpg not originating in Japan what did you expect?
it all started with the half-elf tee bee hech
Noah Murphy
> I just know the fantasy trope of unrealistic gender equality them. That's not for the benefit of feminism or sjws. It's for the benefit of >female players and >males who appreciate the female form in fantasy dress
Kayden Russell
because men play video games and I like looking at virgin qts in armor faggot
Liam Rodriguez
>women warriors it's called fantasy for a reason
Ryder Ramirez
>I cannot imagine myself as a man: the posts
I could have gone through the day without having to read about you showing yourself in skimpy clothing in the middle of all the buffed male NPCs.
I mean I know you don't do it because you all are some type of group of faggots, but honestly, why let everyone know that? why did you need to tell us that?
Colton Peterson
Idealism. Who wouldn't like a woman being virtuous and honorable and gallant? They do exist IRL, but it's rare as fuck to find them.
Liam Perry
>fantasy
Any questions?
Lucas White
>your character is either minmaxed to do one thing well or cannot do anything well What other option should there be? >Golarion That's pathfinder
Eli Foster
It's a fantasy game. There's all sorts of stupid illogical bullshit in fantasy, that's the point. Yeah if it's a historical game your argument makes perfect sense, but this is a universe with elves, tree ents, wizards, etc. Can't say much about D&D specifically since I don't play it but If you want a bit more red pill in your tabletop or roleplay I would recommend Warhammer 40k with Black Templars.
Anthony Gray
Female adventurers have always been around. Female gods have always been around. Multiple races have always been around. Diverse cultural references have always been around.
That said, one would think that role-playing games have little to do with real-world identity politics, because in a game you can assume any role. At least if your audience is mature enough. It seems though that more and more entertainment is being targeted at women and "minorities", who only want to play two games: "white genocide" and "we wuz kangs". Apparently these things sell and normal things don't. Well, in this case we should just stop consuming entertainment that is meant for minorities. Stop watching new movies with black actors, stop playing new games about "kangz", stop reading modern books, and so on. The amount of existing books, films, and games is so enormous that it will last all of us a lifetime. Speaking of D&D, it peaked around the versions 2-3.5, and there's literally no need to buy anything new. There's also plenty of other settings and systems.
Zachary Wilson
so basically you are saying is called fantasy because being a girl is your fantasy?
Dylan Kelly
>Having a GM that treats men and women as exactly the same in-game
Find a better GM desu senpai, that's the great thing about RPGs the 'official lore' doesn't mean shit. Make your own world.
Sebastian Jenkins
Only good female warrior was Xena
you know im right, that show was the shit.
Andrew Murphy
because eowyn was a character in lord of the rings and 90 percent of fantasy rips off that.
and then its so women can have self insert characters.
Camden Price
the trend started for a reason, it started to have more girls in the hobbie, because it was assumed that with more girls you could get a RPG gf while being a nerd loser.
that idea has failed. now that they are here is obvious it was better before they ruined the whole thing and tried to hijack the hobby to the single gurl hamming practice
Thomas Myers
I can't really play a female when I play (I try to when I DM) due to the fact that I'm not a woman, I cannot voice a woman, and I like to play characters that are parts of myself (makes them more believable). As far as changing lore goes... >lets change a historical fact about the lore and fantasy of this game to appeal to a bunch of faggots yea can't vouch for that. They were what they were, and you shouldn't retcon things just to join the diversity cult. Fucking idiots.
Nathan Watson
It only happened after 3.5
5.0 is pure normie shit from what I hear.
Julian Taylor
Still, changing characters (I can see gods since they can do whatever the fuck they want in these universes) to another race, gender, etc. just to be diverse is fucking dumb. Look what it did to marvel, hope it happens here too.
Tyler Hughes
You know when it comes to D&D and pen and paper RPGs you can homebrew everything to be more realistic if you want it to be. I'm currently playing a campaign with a lot of homebrewing to the point that all the gods and godesses are homebrewd and if anyone in the party has a diffrent religion than the witch hunter in the group, which I play, theywill get burned at the stakes as heretics. If you must follow the rule book to the letter than that is up to you, but hte rules are more of a collection of guide lines and not you can change things or use other settings that you feel more appropriate. Changing things makes it your game and makes stuff uniqe to that campaign, you don't have to break the rules to change some stuff in the campaign. Like I often use the Warhammer Fantasy setting when GMing Pathfinder games because I like that universe better and feel more comfortable GMing a campaign in a world I know, or I might just make up a world to use entirely out of my imagination. And female characters don't bother me, most of the characters will be male anyways and it's refreching to not have the adveturing party be a compleate sausage fest at times.
Joshua Lewis
Sex sells product.
Ayden Hughes
Yea, nothing wrong with female fantasy characters. At all. In fact, any 3rd person RPG I'll play a female because that ass. Revising lore is another thing.
Cooper Harris
> you could get a RPG gf while being a nerd loser. Isn't this too far-fetched?
Anyway, it is normal that businesses are looking to expand their audiences, and identity politics is the new shiny PR trick that perhaps even works.
Ian Wilson
how are the 00's?
Torchbearer exists.
Michael Mitchell
The same reason they show up in other media, to brainwash us into being cucked and ineffective, a bunch of sheep ready for the slaughter.
Easton Sanchez
Also, pretty sure a good number of Sup Forumsacks play RPGs (either vidya or tt).
Aaron Powell
because they are fantasy ie "not real"
Christopher Cruz
>isn't that too far fetched just watch the movies from the era.
Zachary Martinez
It's because of Storygames.com and before it, The Forge Forums
their shit infected everything, and RPGs never had a gamergate
