What happened to architecture?

...

There are still tasteful buildings being built, but due to a global population increase, there have to be "mass produced" designs.

What are favelas

So besides in America's case building identity seems to last longer in lower income regions until someone bulldozes them

Usury juden

America happened

Climate control and modern materials alleviated the need for architecture that compensated for local conditions.

>Climate control

chemtrail tard detected

Cultural enrichment that will find its way to first world countries.

I mean, a little far-fetched saying thats what South America is building

Gore thread?

Population of France doubled since Napoleon.

He means air conditioning you autistic discarded python skin.

Climate control on a building wide level (cooling, heating, humidity). Not climate control as in creating clouds and shit.

Fads go global now. Sometimes they look neat, currently not so much. I don't mind those boxy white houses with the wood panelling though I'm not sure I'd wanna live in one.

>old buildings that are absolute horse shit at energy efficiency and will/would be flattened in the slightest environmental disaster
Nothing of value was lost.

...

south american towns aren't too different from spanish towns

Top kek.

It's a psyOP to make people feel weak and depressed. They have intentionally made art and architecture ugly to demoralize humanity.

That is beyond disgusting.

Look at this big black cock shoved into Paris. No purpose for this other than to blight the skyline.

You... realize that these cities are full of old buildings that have somehow survived centuries of weather and use while conveying actual beauty?

What do you mean goy? Everything is going as (((planned)))!

Go grab some McDonalds and stop asking questions, it will make your country richer!

Taiwan bucked the trend of bland skyscrapers in a big way, replete with feng shui aesthetics.

Look at those (((minimalistic))) lines, splendid design! Very modern, not like that crap that was standing there before.

Staatliches Bauhaus and (((postmodernism)))

still looks soulless

Again, the "modern" look is a Communist concept in it's war on beauty.

E F F I C I E N C Y
Gotta cram more people into smaller area due to lack of land, labs prices too high, refusal to live out in sticks. Once horizontal expansion is no go, the only way is up.
Urbanisation was a mistake.

...

Id rather work within nove glass walls than in a moldy room desu

Nothing went wrong

Yeah but now its cyberpunk soulless

pls tell us more

fuck, thats the saddest picture i have seen the last 45 minutes. kikes are slowly destroying and removing every part of our history so they can build their filthy concrete boxes that will show us evil goyim how strong and almighty they are.

...

Jesus, I heard Paris was overrated but I never thought it would look that shitty.

Looks like a bunch of takeout boxes stacked up.

...

There's worst than Montparnasse though, pic related.

is anyone else seeing a toilet and a toilet roll holder.

Look how efficient it is now!

...

Look up Bauhaus

You are comparing personal housing with official housing.
A globalization of architecture has occured a long time ago as well, regarding official buildings

that really doesnt say much, as in mechanisms and science, the cheapest, most effective and straight forward path will be taken, you may see difference in culture in things that are not designed for performance (ie : cult & cultural buildings)

Pretty sure that's part of la defense, the business part of Paris (not the center of Paris that's actually great and looks beautiful)

Notice how the Empire State Building is vertical building but looks like it was crafted by humans and not fetishistic aliens. It projects pride and confidence without looking totally oppressive.

>brutalism thread

Material costs got lower (you could build more so mass production became the key) while skilled labor became more costly (Just how many stone chiselers/metal workers who can make bronze into nice shapes have you seen around?).

Also standardization of buildings.

Trump literally always wins.

Nope, Montparnasse isn't part of la defense. It really is in the middle of Paris. Not very far from Notre Dame. And I have no idea how you can find Paris beautiful, never could stand that shit of a town despite living in or around it for 25 years.

We all know (((what))) happened.

Then it's much worse than I imagined, and I do think Paris looks beautiful, perhaps not from an aerial view but from a street view

>South America has favelas
It's ugly ass architecture
I don't know why leftists praise it and want to preserve it

Please stop

kys faggot

Leftists feed off poverty. Double parasites leeching off the sores of the poor and the blood of the rich.

Somewhere in the last hundred or so years i guess people started seeing earthquakes as a hazard. Fucking morons imo

Yeah on pictures it can look good, but have you been there IRL ? Because it's not what you imagine. Depending on the arrondissement it's relatively clean and safe or it's Detroit-like with the same sort of savages and walls covered with tags everywhere.
Regardless of arondissement, the entire city smell of piss, shit and vomit. especially in the morning.

thats a crime

It's in the south, not the historical center but not too far away

Not him, but street view Paris is nice, though I prefer Bordeaux. The law over there prevent the construction of high rise buildings.

Real answer: Interconnectivity between geographic regions via the internet and standardized curriculum has led to the adoption of "standardized " architecture around much of the globe.

Meme answer: the Jews

>It's not safe outside, I better live and work in this concrete coffin just in case.

It baffels me that a bong doesnt understand its own language. Im glad youre leaving.

Architectural Marxism.

Form follows function. Our civilization changed, they don't spend their whole life in just one house. Because of their job or other career opportunities people tend to move every few years. So they don't really care how their house is decorated or if it's just a modern cube. The thing with modern architecture is that it's very cheap, efficient, reliable and with much mroe space. In those ways it's better than old architecture.

>pic related in Japan
Japan doesn't have any "jews" or whatever reason you name for modern architecture. They still build tons of modern houses because of its efficiency.

La Defense was purposefully created to be a containment zone for modern skyscrapers. It was a good compromise to keep them out of the rest of the city while conceding the business needs of large organizations to use modern buildings.

Doesn't prevent the construction of ugly building, depicted here some museum about wine.

I think you are literally retarded.

the world is soulless now. just nuke it all.

It's a wine decanter dude.

architectural change is the first indicator of cultural globalization

Looks like a pile of shit.

Well, I personally like it, and the place it was built on was fucking terrible before. Still, the entrance fee is outrageous.

that's actually nice

Definitely not.

is the same true for the suburbs full of niggers?

don't try to evict the losers (sorry, misfortunates) or you'll be accused of genocide by smelly university *studies students

That shitty Grande Arche is a blight on Paris though. I hope a mudslime bombs it.

...

The best thing about Bauhaus is the goth band.

Look at all this gorgeous efficiency. Home is where the heart is, for sure!

Can you believe the cultures who invented this "art" mindlessly murdered millions of people as if they didn't matter whatsoever?

I could cry.

How to build a Iconic modern city 101
Step 1: Copy and paste every single fucking building
Step 2: Put a random structurally different building that towers over every building in the city,
>that now overly obnoxiously tall building will be seen as a iconic building
Step 3: Profit? I guess?

...

Big black dick in France. Kind of a symbolic, reminds people of what's coming. I mean, what came.

...

Germany Happened.

50 years of socialism does that

And that Peter Murphy is a muslim now living in Turkey. I went to his concert last year though and it was pretty good
