theres no doubt lots of them hate niggers and spics

Get a life?

I just wish we could breed these specimens with some beautiful white women to create a new master race.

pathetic and just as kiked as regular sports

It's like chess.

Not really a long term career.

The average competitor makes far less than minimum wage, and the biggest ones still can only do it for so long. Compare that to the average life span and cost of living that perpetually rises everywhere, you need a backup plan.

That being said, I'm not jealous of them and actually think there are dumber things in this world to get riled up over.

Sit and play a game
sport
pick one.

I don't like games, I don't think it's ending western world or anything, it's just not a sport it's a hobby one you compete at like, say pool or ping pong.
Basketball, soccer, baseball cricket, are sports.
Playing vidya, is a hobby. The fact it's a big thing now, is just market demand.

It was fun participating. I played in the LoL college tournament and it got me some scholarship money through the school. It's not a "sport" to me. It's like chess or being a scrabble expert or some crap. Just far better as far as being a watchable event goes. No harm no foul, let people play and watch. If there's money in it, all the better.

I dislike the idea of watching sports in general so there's that. I hate cult followers who follow every detail of their lives.
Chess requires you to be smart though

WE WUZ ATHLETEZ N SHIET

It's alright, depends on the game really.
Pretty funny sometimes, interviews and commentary is gold because it's all weebs who never socialise.
Unregulated too, everyone's on ADHD meds in the top tiers.

You can't refute the fact that there's a lot that goes into a good e-sport as far as intelligence goes. CS, DOTA, and LoL all are juggernauts in the scene and require a decent depth of understanding to ply well. Just like how in chess there's gambits openings and styles to learn

Asian and white devil's sad attempt to find a sport we won't dominate.
Pro Tip: all the best Street Fighter players are black.

>blacks being good at fighting

stop the presses

Yes but chess is purely logic-based.
Anyone can learn to play CSGO/LoL good if they try long enough, read some manuals etc. tactics-wise.

its still in early stages and as soon as the teams realize how important marketing a proper image is they pay rates will go up

sports have never been a long term career but eventually theyll learn how to make a few mil before they get out

I can appreciate the mechanical and planning skills involved, like with an RTS game, but it's weird for me thinking of it as an athletic sport in the same way as baseball or hockey. I'd consider it as more as electronic chess with more visual effects.

get a job hippies

Logic isn't the be all end all of intelligence, dude. There's a lot of types of intelligence. For actual good CS play there is so much going on a layman doesn't see in terms of mind games (fake attacks, baits, etc.).And if you think you can't get a decent chess ranking just by learning the playout of common game "tropes" I don't think you played a lot of chess...

This guy, the top earning esports athlete, has made almost $3,000,000.00 playing a game called "Dota 2™"

thoughts?

Yes, I know that, but you're making vidya sound far more complicated than it is in 99% cases.
Tbqh depends how you play chess. Irl it'd be pretty stupid to have predetermined set of moves.

At least one of them married a beauty queen, which is a very sports hero type of thing to do. Wonder if she'll leave him when he stops winning.

Who ? Dyrus gf is a golddigger but who married that cutie?

Every retard in here saying its not a sport.

Oh shit is that why its called an esport?

The amount of autism in this thread is high.

You don't seem to actually have any knowledge about the games you're talking about

>""""""""""""""""athletes"""""""""""""""""
I guarantee none of them can complete a 200m race without pausing for breath.

Sport?

>probably a 3K noob

Me and my friend play chess for three years. It would be pretty stupid if we had the same openings for years.
As for vidya, I don't play multiplayer much so I truly don't know.

Openings and gambits in chess are very rigid sets of ~10-20 moves. The deviations from those core moves are themselves gambits and "openings". Like no duh some people can be brain-dead and play League well. But that's just because they have good muscle memory. Csing, last hitting, other mechanics are just a fundamental level of skill. That's why they get shotcallers and there are some people who are much better at landing than others. They worked past just muscle memory to actual logic in the game. I know the fizz is gonna troll-poll my Ahri combo, but if the guy's trigger is my charm, I can bait an all in by sacrificing my charm to start the actual trade. Ya know?

there's a lot of money in it I guess
heck, iirc the TI prize pool is up to like 20 million dollary doos

she may be hot but sounds more retarded than him so its a 50/50

You probably don't realize it but you're most likely playing a loose version of named and classic openings. Simply moving queen side pawn to counter king side pawn opening from white is a famous move that people don't know they're doing.

Shes a 12/10 by her looks but she sounds like she started smoking a pack of ziggs the day she was born I agree.

nobody but you retards call it a sport.
Its an esport.

I was referring to vidya specifically, my bad. You're right in saying that video games are 99% of the time not very complex. But we aren't talking about 99% of the time, we're talking about pro e-sports. I play CSGO a fair amount and can attest to the fact that it's quite a complex game as far as strategy and logic are concerned. When you're playing against people who are as good, if not better, at aiming and strategy, you have to go even further. And that's what happens in pro matches.

Problem I have is that most games (probably some exceptions) are a finite field with finite options. Play the game enough and you know most nearly every option.

You can play a game 8 hours a day for a year and become a god at it. You can play hockey, football, etc. 8 hours a day and not even be close to reaching the NHL.

I don't have a problem with it being promoted/having large payouts, it's like those people who play poker professionally.

Gaming is never and will never be a sport.

I hate that the term e-sports took off, and I hate that people refer to competitive video game players as any form of athlete. I hate that people have made videos and long drawn out detailed arguments for why the level of muscle memory and control needed to be top level at XXX game is elite and athletic. I have competed in first person shooters actively since 2002. I have played my share of CSGO on LAN and online tournaments/leagues. It's a hobby. There is nothing sporty or athletic about the whole thing.

Watching professionals play it is interesting to me as someone who played at a high level but I would never expect or hope that anyone who doesn't play these games would somehow become a fan of this as a spectator sport, because that doesn't make any sense in my mind.

i guess they make big bank, looks like some shitty games to me though.

I beg to differ. I've tried to sit down and "coach" kids to get better at league. They could play forever and never break platinum. Simply because they lack the ability to play and understand the game at that level. Same with football. I could brute force teach a kid to be good, but there are limits to how high he can climb. If the limit is too easy the market would saturate which isn't the case for video games or football. The gap in skill between US and KR is so huge still even with the discipline US players are puttting in.

the only people that call it a sport are spergs like yourself

yea 12/10 cam whore on twitch. Shame they are so shallow and draw in desperate faggots who fund their stupid antics but atleast we know a fat dude is (hopefully) sticking his dick in it, being a shut in has paid off for him

>Yes but chess is purely logic-based.
yeah but if you try to play chess by being logical, the person who plays with patterns, archetypes, and intuition will kick your ass.

Fighting games > RTS

beta royalty

degenerate.

basically league of legends looks fucking gay.

Millions of people want to be like them but the sport can only support at most 100 esport ""athletes""

Its still competition and its still fierce so yeah no problems with it.

Kind of only watch it because it's one of the last places SJWs haven't touched

I like fighting games, so I can't really complain.

Tokido just ran a fucking train over Punk last night. Get out of here with your horseshit user.

broadcast is ruined by american styled commentary. they could have done away with the whole more talking than the actual game and analyst desk shit, but instead they just copied every shitty aspect they could.
they had everything to work with, and they chose this.
also it's not sport. at all.

>just a game

>E-ATHLETES

Why the fuck are they wearing two sets of headphones?!?!?!?!?!?

No issue. What they do to make a living is they choice. As long as there is a market for it.

They tried with team siren. it failed horribly.
youtube.com/watch?v=nVNNWzd9MPQ

actjewvison really likes to mess everything up.

One set actually works and isn't absolute dogcrap. The other, they were paid to wear.

Btw usa sucks balls at every esport except call of dooty lmao.

> call of duty
> esport

>says this when USA won Sm4sh

????

They shouldn't be called esports since they're not sports and the current set of games which call themselves esports are absolute lowest denominator trash.
However, the concept of esports is generally sound. After all, lan parties have been a thing for a hell of a long time, and arcade machines were a shitty approximation of that before, in some way.

Supply and demand.
If no one cared he'd make 0 dollars.

I dont think shes a gold digger. She clearly is hyper obssesed with him just like a fan girl and it makes sense with her being only 18. If anything it's kinda weird how much she's into him. She cooks for him, cleans and generally taking care of him extremely compulsively despite him showing no emotion and being extremely lazy. She also talks to him like he was a baby and coddles him enough for it to be weird. She has a blatant mother fetish stacked on top of being an obssesed fan while being his girlfriend. That's either going to end really well or really bad.

>JUST POINT AND FUCKING CLICK WITH YOUR MOUSE

How is any of this consider a "sport"???

Usa gets lucky when they win esports thats one example.

its called esports because its not a sport. its an esport.

Are you sure he made 3m? Are you sure it's not his team that made 3m?

Except for that time we swept europoors in rift rivals

>it's called winter sport because it's a winter sport, not a sport
Ice to meet you.

y THE FUCK are they wearing two sets of headphones.

same with things like chess and golf.

prize pool was 18.4 million dollars.

assuming they got 15million dollars, divided by 5, its not unlikely he got 3million dollars.

They're koreans

plz tell me more on how lck raw dogs lcs.

one has better mic
other has better audio
fucking retards these days

electronic sport is an electronic sport. It's a different category of sport.

Thats like every NEET's wet dream what you describe there. So she is basically an obsessed house wife for him?

Not at this years worlds baby

looks like they are wearing earbuds under earmuffs cause the stadium is too loud to hear the game properly

>with her being only 18
That's 18 in America? Jesus, I thought she was 30-40!

Computers can beat humans in chess, even world champions lose to them since the late 80's and all throughout the 90's. Chess is just memorization, not really "intelligence".

>JUST RUN UP AND DOWN A FIELD

How is any of this consider a "sport"???

That wouldn't be accurate. The bigger part of the money goes to the team manager. Still probably $500k-1m I would assume.

...

too good to be true imo. Look at all the other streamer girlfriends except lisha/imaqtpie (they met before he even started his carreer)

They generally wear ear buds with big noise canceling ear muffs over top. Green headphones are probably just branding and aren't plugged in

i used to "speedrun" when i was depressed. i look back and feel nothing but embarrassment for partaking in something so stupid. i even had a world record in a shitty meme game.

...

Yea, Dyrus is basically living the dream right now. Gets payed crazy amount of money living the neet life, playing vidya and watching anime all day while this takes care of him which he gets to fuck as well

Gotta name the game now user.

idk why but that pisses me off so fucking much. Just ditch the razers around their necks. Wearing headphones on your neck is so goddamn annoying I'd be distracted as hell trying to game like that

retards playing or watching card games like heartstone should be shot

If you would get several thousand dollars for wearing a shitty headphone around your neck, would you still complain ? $$$

The only problem is since she is more of a fan and is super young it will go 2 ways. She will eventually lose intrest or become really attached. I'm going with her losing intrest since dyrus is a pretty boring guy

...

Honestly yes

Dunno I agree that he can be sleepy at times, but he really has an "relaxed/sympathic" aura around him. I really hope she isn't using him, that would probably break his heart.
