Dialogue in Hell between Machiavelli and Montesquieu

It's actually a very good book, author is pretty Sup Forums

Pic related is a nice and fairly short primer on the cold war

Is this similar to The Prince but with religious themes?

This. Localism is the true future of the right-wing movements.

rate me

It was all because of (((the French)))

Not religious at all. It contrasts the enlightened optimistic worldview of Montesquieu (and every modern liberal) and the reality that Machiavelli described in The Prince and which he was hated for. Throughout the dialogue Machiavelli exposes how anyone or any group of people can and will seize the power of the state and make it their own through deception, propaganda, censorship etc. He basically describes what the NWO has done in most western countries over the past 100 years.

Sup Forums doesn't read

...

that's some top tier cringe user

That sounds great, I enjoyed The Prince so I'll check that one out thanks

bluepill slowly turning purple. To increase the redness, you must read as OP mentioned in his post Mein Kampf and the Bible. Severely underrated. The bible and true X-ianity removes pic related

This is the mot meme-filled trash pile ever. Throw away everything but the DJT books and try to forget what was ever written in those pages.

Is there a single non-biased book out there on the Spanish Civil War? I've been looking forever, they're all pro-commie

this

Don't know what's worse your choice of books, games or the fact that you are a console faggot.

>pro-commie

it is better, than pro-moor(franco) shit

You haven't even read a summary of it, you are literally judging a book by its cover

Ebin
How about a book that isn't pro-either
I want some dry history on it

Turner diaries, culture of critique, hammer of the patriot, everything Nietsche, basic economics by Thomas Sowell, G.L Rockwell's books and yes, mein kampf

>pretty Sup Forums
elaborate faggot

Sup Forums has a lot of authoritarian cunts who do not know what is good for them, I am willing to bet this faggot would be one of them and you are just shilling for him

I read this and I'm really not getting you at all.
It's a lot of sentimental bullshit about "fighting resistance" but where the fuck you got communism is beyond me.

I should buy it, I love Machiavelli's writings

You can also try other writings of Machiavelli like the discourses on Livy, it's really good too

The art of war, Notre Dame de Paris, the Prince of Machiavelli, the lord of the rings, that kind of stuff

Kek it's a book about overcoming blocks in creativity, it's not some giant political treatise for you to get all worked up over, you fucking Russians are so grumpy

Just memeing on his anti-consumerist rants desu

They aired a 1/2 decent documentary about it
>>España dividida. La Guerra Civil en color
I don't know any decent book

>That sounds great, I enjoyed The Prince so I'll check that one out thanks
I'm glad I could help.

>Is there a single non-biased book out there on the Spanish Civil War?
Maybe pic related? Haven't read it myself though. There are also a lot of sources on the web concerning for example the persecution of and massacres against Christians and especially church officials at the hands of the red henchmen.

>I should buy it, I love Machiavelli's writings
And as a Frenchman you won't have to content yourself with a mediocre translation.

Anything by Lothrop Stoddard

>it's not some giant political treatise for you to get all worked up over

luckily I did not insinuate such a thing

>judging by the cover

the fact that the author is using the phrase war implies he sees it as a zero sum conflict in where one side needs to win.

he will probably say shit like you need to do this or you need to do that.

it is a classic authoritarian mindset. mix a little resentment in there that stems from the fact that he is an author and you could predict with a fair degree of certainty that he is a retarded commie.

He makes no implications that it's zero sum but instead that it is a battle or "war" with your inner forces of resistance to do what needs to be done. He's not a commie, just against consumerism. It'd be tough to draw any forms of authoritarianism from the book. I don't understand your impotent rage

...

...

>Hitler
>leftist
Absolute trash

I hate how Hitler and National Socialism is used by both left and right as a reason why the other side is evil, when in reality fascism in general is neither left nor right

Radical centrism.

Totalitarian centrism :^)

...

Why do you have so many Halo books, reading Lauren Southern's book won't make her fuck you.

>rage
kek

>just against consumerism
>just
keksimus maximus

the ultimate redpill is understanding that consumerism is the best form of culture possible because it is benign(relativity speaking) and it is fueled by individual basic desires thus it is easily spread.

consumerism drives the west and it drives capitalism. to say that you are "just" against consumerism is to be blind to what it actually is, and to how it benefits society.

and to say that you are against consumerism is to say that you do not like what people around you are doing regardless of whether it effects you or not. i.e. he is a fucking authoritarian

also the reason why I am arguing a random point is because I feel like occupying my time arguing such a point(i.e. this is a hobby).

Fascism and natsoc aren't necessarily totalitarian. The thing you need to remember about both ideologies is that they developed to be the anti-thesis to marxism, and in order to fight such a destructive, fanatical and total idea you yourself must become equally or perhaps even more radical. I have no doubt that were Hitler to win WW2 and communism be eradicated from this earth, Germany would have returned to democracy, as there would be no more reason to be so radically anti-communist

...

Mindless consumerism destroys culture and places the scales on your eyes - all drive for personal growth is eliminated from the instant gratification of material gains. Us Americans are a prime example of a culture destroyed by consumerism - we once identified strongly with our European roots. Is it the eternal aim of the Ukrainian to live a life free of culture?

This is true. The same could be said about Salazar in Portugal

Germany would've never gone back to democracy. Hitler hated it, the military hated it, and most of the people hated it. I could see the fascist regiemes taking the path of Franco and gradually being less authoritarian, but I don't think you can say fascism as we knew it wasn't inherently totalitarian.

i know this is bait but
FUCK THAT FUCKING ATTENCION WHORING ROASTIE WHORE

I'm not denying fascism wasn't totalitarian, the point i was trying to articulate was that it would've burned itself out without the enemy of communism to fight against, and become less authoritarian.

Give it up shill

Oh right, I agree

>Mindless consumerism destroys culture and places the scales on your eyes

consumerism is in itself a culture and thus it surplants the other culture

>all drive for personal growth is eliminated from the instant gratification of material gains

this is a hell of a lot better than say a drive to exterminate the infidel, and it does wonders for the economy.

>we once identified strongly with our European roots

and yet the consumerist US culture is much more resilient than say the european one.

which is why americian muslims tend to be more liberal than european ones(even if they are 3rd or 4th gen)

>Is it the eternal aim of the Ukrainian to live a life free of culture?

1. you cannot live a life without culture
2. ukrainians generally tend to strongly identify with our culture(I am an outliger). infact we identify so strongly with our culture that we can even surplant it to immigrants who come here: I seen pictures of africian immigrants in classic ukrainian garb though I could not find it with google.

All those 'Muricans and no mentions of Christopher Lasch yet? This guy was ahead of his time.

Democracy the God that Failed by Hoppe.
Anatomy of the State by Rothbard

Why do /lit/fags who come make these threads have such pleb tier taste in "pol books", and have no clue what we actually read? Try lurking moar.

I don't want the autistic compilation of books, I want single book suggestions with discussion about them. These threads lose value when it's just mass-spamming of titles

>collectivist
>believed in state control over the individual
>believed in political solutions to social problems
he was a Leftist, bro.
The sooner you accept that fact, the sooner you can stop living in delusion.

jack donovan is a rectal-sucking faggot. He likes meatpoles over hamsandwiches i:e hes nuts. Don't listen to the rainbowpeople

Someone reccommend me a book about the Weimar Republic

it is written about it in MK

documentary españa dividiada, la guerra civil en color tries to be neutral. Just know that at the end of the day, the least bad side won

>elaborate faggot

I only know the author from his historical fiction, but some of the main themes of his books are sacrifice, duty to one's "country" (most of what I read was set in ancient greek city-states) and the iron bonds formed between people who serve together.

I'm mostly a sucker for historical fiction and I love the setting of antiquity so I'm definitely biased, but if you want a good book to see what he's all about and want a good war story check out Gates of Fire.

know any others?

Leviathan by Hobbes
33 Strategies of War by Greene (Highly underrated)

The Holy Bible

>I don't want the autistic compilation of books
If you don't want Autism why even come to Sup Forums you do understand Sup Forums is basically 5000-10000 autistic people yelling at each other trying to ignore any argument they disagree with?

Sup Forums doesn't read books, Sup Forums hardly reads the news.

It's about feels not facts, has been that way for a long time. People come to Sup Forums to have their bias confirmed and feel as if they are under attack by a more sinister force, there really isn't much more going on here.

Is the documentary uploaded anywhere? Saw the announce but couldn't watch it

Did you pick one fucking book to complain about, out of like 40 books? You're cancer, kys

Watch the movie Cabaret.

this shit is embarrassing, never post it again

>The Crowd by Gustave le Bon

I read this, it is pretty packed and he is very opinionated straight to his point in this one. I also read another of his on early, pre Bolshevik Russia that was far more standard of a book.

Thank you for proving my point.

Based leaf

Yeah he has an obvious bias towards democracy and didn't try and hide his love for Reagan, but it still was very informative
