Our internet is unrestricted unlike Sweden, British, and Germany who have websites and videos censored by their government.
We have guns. We got rid of the long-arms registry a few years ago. Handguns and semi-autos are more restricted but still attainable. Many other so-called "based" countries can't say the same.
Holocaust denial is not illegal. We have bogus "hate speech" laws but they rarely go enforced and the courts have thrown most cases out. It's still infinitely better than what Europeans deal with.
Most of our populace is normal. You can cherrypick a story about a guy blowing his dog or some tranny marrying itself. But you'll never read a story about the majority of our youth not being heterosexual (unlike several European countries).

With the exception of the US and a few others, Canada is one of the freest countries in the world. We don't have the means to enforce whatever virtue signalling law you may hear about. There is no police state even if the government wishes for one. We're too spread out to ever accomplish such a thing. Going innawoods is a very real thing here.
Toronto and Vancouver do not represent Canada anymore than New York and LA represent the entirety of Americans.
