Jesus Christ was a Socialist

>republicans call themselves christian
>would have jesus arrested as a vagrant and sent to the labor camps
Really makes you think

I think Jesus wouldn't agree forced charity is real charity.

He was a distributist, you fucking moron.

...

What really made me think is a different, good thread. Report before it is too late.

>foot fetishist
>had a disciples who were skilled in various trades
>preached doctrine about selling off material goods in pursuit of spiritual enlightenment
>sold off to foreign gov't who still practiced human sacrifices

There's a lot of missing details desu

>would have jesus arrested as a vagrant and sent to the labor camps

You have it backwards. Republicans will turn up their noses at you for being a vagrant, but that's it. Only Socialists put you in a camp if they don't think you're giving enough labor to the cause.

Socialism is mass theft. Jesus would not approve. He would advise to give out of the goodness of your heart, not the barrel of your gun.

Christ expoused charity. The act of charity, of helping those less fortunate than themselves, elevates man.

Socialism is the exact opposite of that. It is the state using force, or threat of force, to take from you and allocate as they see fit.

Christ specifically said he wouldn't get involved in earthly matters. That's not his purpose. 'Mere Kingdom is not of this world's.

Also:

>Marxist doctrine explicitly decries spirituality as an obstacle to class-consciousness, insists all religious identity needs to be stamped out for the workers of the world to unite
>Socialist regimes brutally persecute Christians for the better part of a century
>Present-day Socialist agitators take every chance they get to insist that Christians are backwards and that Christianity needs to be driven out of public life
>"BUT JESUS WAS ONE OF US YOU GUYS!!!!!!!!!!"

No.

He probably also wouldn't like it if people were invoking his name to hawk tax cuts for assholes like the Kochs.

Why do you idiots keep popping up? Jesus said to voluntarily give to the poor, not kill the rich bastards and take it by force.

I almost never hear politicians or Christians asking for tax cuts "because Jesus would want it". It's usually always purely for economic reasons.

>would have jesus arrested as a vagrant and sent to the labor camps
No, that's what communists do

How do you explain away the long history of Christian Communism?

One of the editors for the Washington Post (pic related) is one of the most learned scholars on Christian communism in the world. Are you implying you have a greater understanding of Catholic social teaching than an Oxford graduate?

if he talked about labor camps i probably wouldn't consider jesus a pussy or yardmower.

Who's sending vagrants to camps?

Yeah, I'm sure a guy who was literally crucified by the state would have been all for entrusting them to take care of everyone like a benevolent God.

"They're will always be the poor amongst you."

In other words, the Jesus character is saying nothing can be done about it.

>long history

Communism is 150 years old.

When talking to Pilate Jesus never said, you have to redistribute wealth. He only told his followers personally to give out of their free will.
Delegating charity to the state is anti christian and inhuman.

>How do you explain away the long history of Christian Communism?
Communism is only 150 years old, and most of its history has been opposed to Christianity.

Jesus was a monarchist.
Kingdom of God and all that.
Why he's thought of as a commie idk.?

>How do you explain away the long history of Christian Communism?
Irrelevant. We're talking about Jesus himself here, not the beliefs of Engels

Christianity inherently supports class collaboration. That is the polar opposite of Marxism.
