What went wrong?

What went wrong?
Something obviously did.

Joined the EU

27 other countries did too. Most are doing pretty well right now.

They lost their geopolitical importance since the fall of USSR and tried to spent too much of their income in military trying to compete with Turks.
At the end they borrowed more money and which made things even worse.

Now you have a broken Greece while their neighbor is stock piling in tanks, missiles and fighter planes. From there you can see where things are going.

We are too important to be anything other than a buffer state.

We will never need a real economy because we will always be taken care of, always.

Just enjoy sun brother

>what went wrong

Nothing went wrong. It's part of the master plan.
Borrow all you can, spend all you can, and yolo your way to the Apocalypse in September

>Most are doing pretty well right now.
can't tell if ironic or not

Greece is on the hall of fame, of european greatness for what they did for westen, no doubt of that. Along side France, England, Germany, Italy, Portugal, Russia, Spain and Netherlands

Greece was a poor country in the past. It had lots of dictatorships and then for political reasons America pressured France and West Germany to let them into the EU. That at first was fine, but then they thought "hey, we pay like 7% interest on our bonds, what if we sneaked ourselves into the Eurozone by cooking the books" and (((someone))) told them to call Goldman Sachs... the rest is history.

we are the jews trump card to destroy EU
well be fine in the future were not going to pay those loans.

All that Turkish blood turned them into lazy bums that feel the need to retire at the age of 45 while getting full benefits thinking it is sustainable solution that wont lead to national bankruptcy and the situation they currently are in or have any other negative effects on their economy and GDP.
>Stavros Mehmedopolous in charge of building a functional society

Sure ignore the people who literally invented first civilization. Ignore the people who invented numbers and algebra. Ignore the people built the first University and first Hospitals. Etc.

Not ironic at all. "Well" is relative. It's better than pretty much anywhere else in the world.

>Artificial state created by the Anglo.
>Relied on foreign saviors and benefactors from its inception
>Never developed a true sense of national identity but retained its pre-revolution tribal/regionalist mentality
>adopted democracy to early which led to its abuse

>Ignore the people who invented numbers and algebra
What does Egyptians and Babylonians have to do with Europe?
Or are you referring to the modern numeral systems used in most math that was invented by Indians but spread and used by Persians/Arabs during the Golden age?

Entire country stops paying taxes, entire country withdraws all money from banks... I think it's something we should do here in Canada.. based greekbros.

All the hard working Greeks left Greece after WW2 for Australia, Canada, United States, England, New Zealand.

What remained was lower IQ population that couldn't see that staying in a destroyed country was a good idea for their long-term future.

Christianity. Look at the Greeks before/after

European tried to make them 100% European. They should have make them first 10% European 90% Turkish, then 20% European 80% Turkish and so on eventually European.

Painful lack of serious leadership for at least 35 years now.

Dude i was not being ironic, Greece has a unique history and a great one

Anyway, it's this We work astonishingly well under dictatorships

T. Christroach

>can't even meme properly
is that way

All strong Greeks died in WW2. Only the weak and the turkish rape babies were left.

Greece's modern history is one of the most interesting, esp. of the 21st century

There was still a large output of science during the Byzantine period and Greek scientists were some of the main contributors of the Renaissance after the fall of Constantinople that helped revive the classical ideals of the Roman/Greek period in Italy.

If you really wanna compare then look at the overall science output of the Ottoman empire and its 600 year reign.
>literally just 2 scientists throughout the entire period

This

Yeah, he casually forgets the fact that the only unifying aspect Greeks had was Christianity, back when we were ebin bagans, we killed eachother non-stop, that is up until the Romans went and conquered us
Fucking dumbasses, the income that was spent on social programs and the demsoc trends of the time was the thing that crippled our economy, not the army budget
We're one of the few countries in Europe that meet NATO standards, and by the way, the Turkish army is awful, just look at al-Bab
