Sup Forums v. Reddit (or Right v. Sodomites)

Why is reddit so much larger than Sup Forums?

Does Reddit get money from ((((them)))) to push the pro-sodomite and other liberal narratives? Every post you make there is catalogued and available for the public to view just by clicking on your profile. That means, purely by going off your ISP, ((((they)))) can see your ZuckBook profile, your Reddit comments, and probably even what you're poasting here.

Why anyone would use Reddit is beyond me, but most people choose it over Sup Forums. What the fuck?

Apparently it's easier for normalfags to use. I'd imagine that 90% of cunts wouldn't understand how the image board works.

More topics to discuss, better moderation, shitty posts can be downvoted, better communities overall to have discussions relevant to whatever your subreddit is about as opposed to here where regardless of what you post someone will call you a faggot or troll your thread for no other reason than they're a teenager and think it's the height of wit.

Don't be such a sore bitch user. Its OK not to be the popular kid, used to be that was a good thing around here.

Makes no sense to me. I still don't understand how Reddit really works. How does it decide which comments are displayed while others are buried?

And what the fuck is the karma system?

>More topics to discuss

If true, then this would be the only upside that I can see. It's debatable though. The chans have a decent number of boards to pick from, and most of the topics that don't have a home would fit in either here or on /bant/.

Yeah, it's hard to read a reddit thread to me as well. Maybe I'm just used to 4chins cause I grew up with it.

Reddit had mainstream appeal for years now. It's probably 50% bots and fake accounts upvoting advertisements and literal fake news

I think it's more that the topics are organized versus depending on a thread or making your own thread. More dependable threads I guess, based on what I've seen. It's more organized.

I also don't you have to create an account to post there? And Reddit seems to have more restrictions on what can be posted, whereas here it's a lot more loose (which has it's pros and cons).

>why do normies choose Reddit over Sup Forums?
Normies can't into anonymity. They require credit and recognition. Not to mention image boards are antiques as far as the internet is concerned.

I say fuck ' em. Sup Forums traffic has doubles in the past year or 2 and as a result the quality has been more than cut in half.

They should fkin pay royalties, using all memes created here

>Why anyone would use Reddit is beyond me, but most people choose it over Sup Forums. What the fuck?

Because losers that will never achieve anything in life feel an adrenaline rush when getting upvotes, and they will do anything to get them, even going against their own interests.

Reddit is white hat

We are black(ed) hat.

According to that graph, Sup Forums had an absurd spike at one point but after that almost no real growth.

Yes, liberals can't make good memes because they're unimaginative and can't really make anything else.

How the fuck can you not understand how an image board works? You solve 6 captchas and then you post.

There's a subreddit dedicated to pointing out corporate sponsored posts.

Because users can't silence people on Sup Forums, only mods can.

Because, like Facebook it's user friendly (I guess), non threatening and the hipster place to be.

No. We shouldn't get any credit at all.

People who do things for free out of passion always produce better quality stuff than those who do it for compensation. Compensation in this case being likes/retweets.

reddit is trash

it's organized and allows any degenerate to make a board about something, so naturally normies love it.

the user base is fucking cancer. It's a mix of 35 year old catladies, homosexuals, young roasties & a their enablers.

The concept of having a "reputation" in the form of a name sounds great until any faggot can dig up something you posted in the past and use that to "win" an argument. Of course this doesn't matter to most of them because they jack themselves off to their shared ideas.

tl;dr normies

A fundamental property of the universe is that good is greater than evil.

Grab em

What caused that spike?

Normies like upvotes.

Reddit is like facebook for "outcasts" and "unique" people.

The fappening

Sup Forums and reddit are equally shit in different ways.

I started lurking here in 2008, but about a week ago I finally started using Reddit too, simply because the high degree of autism here has become too much to bear, and it's just nice to have a break from that shit sometimes, even if it does mean being around normies.

Do you think it's due to Sup Forums being infamous (aka Sup Forums)? I know before I came here it was considered a boogeyman, so many stayed away simply for that fact not knowing there are many more places other than Sup Forums. Also newcomers here are usually frowned upon and are expected to lurk awhile before posting. I'm not sure if it's the same at Reddit or not.

>the user base is fucking cancer. It's a mix of 35 year old catladies, homosexuals, young roasties & a their enablers.

This. I've gone on there a few times to speak against sodomy and have always gotten an extremely negative reception. I cannot stand how Christianity in America has been replaced with praising sodomites. If you praise sodomites, that makes you a "good" person according to liberal orthodoxy.

You say this and yet I am deducing from context that you are a reddit user who probably praises faggots and denies the existence of God.

You know if there was a group of about five of us willing to co ordinate with each other we could get any story we wanted to trend on reddit.

>all the reddit spacing in this thread

That spike was the fappening and it was what killed Sup Forums. An influx of users is toxic for Sup Forums. It's the same reason Sup Forums has gone to shit since the election to a lesser extent.

That is why it is so important Sup Forums never embraces e-celebs who drive their fans here. They will be the death of the site.

>what is readability
>what is clean formatting

you're trying too hard to fit in fag

i hate the way reddits layout looks and having a voting system is a retarded idea

You forgot to mention that you are always being targeted by corporate viral marketing teams.

>If true
have a look for yourself, and this isn't even all of them.

Sup Forums IS ONE TRUE BOARD OF PEACE

DEATH TO THE REDDITORS

SHITPOSTING IS GREAT

Its easier on reddit to make a snarky comment or get upvoted for socially acceptable speech than it is the Chan.

Normies thrive on social acceptance and strive to be one top of the social hierarchy, so they proactively pursue topics and comments that are socially correct, not true.

On the chan, it is different. Someone spouting Nigger and someone constructing a well thought out topic get equal weight, and aside from hiding comments and insulting tripfags/namefags there is an active culture of keeping Anonymous as almost sancrosant. Here, the idea presented must be evaluated on the strength of its argument and the merit of its logic (not always, but oftentimes) without regard to social acceptance. It's easier to evaluate an idea here because there is no other weight to consider, like social acceptance, nor do you seek permanent recognition for a well presented idea, and all other comments must be sifted through in order to find that topic. Hell, even shitty Austrailian posts have to be argued against and cant be downvoted into oblivion.

Think of it this way, reddit is like a faggot in a gay pride parade trying to one up everyone in order to get the most social acceptance. However, Sup Forums are like buddhists who wipe their asses after a good shit. Redditors act for permanent social brownie points and social cohesion, while channers struggle through a hard shit just for the experience. You don't impress anyone after a good shit, you just are better for the experience.

Perhaps. I have made some pretty red-pilled comments on Reddit before and gotten insta-banned. Once my karma got to a certain low it said I couldn't post anymore for like another 10 minutes per post or something.

Seems like they're really trying to keep conservative down in that place.

On Sup Forums your discussion is not a reflection of yourself but on the subject matter at hand (shitposting aside).

>Why is reddit so much larger than Sup Forums?

because it's owned by conde nast publishing

>Think of it this way, reddit is like a faggot in a gay pride parade trying to one up everyone in order to get the most social acceptance. epic poast

>tfw your friends look down on you with utter contempt any time you mention anything from the vast wilderness of Sup Forums all because some kid in 2006 told them about Sup Forums and they saw it once

who else knows this feel. im always like [internally praises kek].

>mentioning Sup Forums outside of Sup Forums
You're a fucking faggot.

Lol no. Chans are all subdivided into walled communities where dissent is considered trolling/offtopic/shitposting and gets banned. Just look around yourself: 90% of /pol is nazi prepper circlejerk. The only benefit of anonymity is that no one will be able to reach out to your mom and show that her son is a nazi fag.

I don't agree with this. pol has a pretty diverse population.

>stormfags

'Normies can't into anonymity. They require credit and recognition."

this. this. this. this. this.

Normies are the answer.

Because of the upvoting system you can browse topics quickly and easily only reading the best comments (when it's not circle jerk upvoting).

You don't have to spend your day F5ing like on Sup Forums.

Normies have limited time between work, friends and family.

The upvoting system is not failsafe but on some topics it produces very good results (like the spacex subreddit).

People dislike having to press the refresh button to update a thread.

I told moot it should be by default but he didn't listen. he told me "go to the configuration menu fag, i aint cahnging shit" like the numale he was.

>Why is reddit so much larger than Sup Forums?
there's a bible verse that pretty much sums up why

proverbs 9:8
Do not reprove a scoffer, or he will hate you, Reprove a wise man and he will love you.

reddit is hugbox and an echochamber that censors you if you call someone dumb and explain to them why they're dumb, and circle jerk over all the jew propaganda they're so proud that they learned

Sup Forums is a place that will call you an idiot, and explain why you're an idiot despite most of Sup Forums argues over deliberate misinformation where only pieces of the truth surface.

the latter is a lot less appealing to stupid people who think they're smart, and far more appealing to smart people who think they're stupid
Sup Forums is an

Reddit is like Sup Forums for slightly more narcissistic losers.

When you post in Sup Forums all of your comedy goldmine posts get deleted as soon as the thread stop existing.

In reddit you can revisit whatever thread you like whenever you want and receive gold for making other people laugh.

That's why Trump will never do an AMA here.

>bam margera afterlife
fucking kek

m00t may have been a raging faggot but him and the mods not really giving a shit is what gives this place it's shitty charm.

If the mods actually enforced the rules here it would kind of suck.

>That's why Trump will never do an AMA here.

I can almost guarantee he shitposts here.

Im positive the major media outlets losses are backstopped by the government through still hidden channels.

If I'm looking for some information or the solution to a problem I'll search reddit. If I'm looking to have a few beers and shitpost I'm here.
>I spend most of my time here
I just create a new username everytime I use reddit. I don't need those faggots seeing my creepy porn fetishes associated with my thoughtful posts on cat pictures.

Reddit is much bigger because it's more organize, less chaotic, and lack of pure anonymity (you at lest have a pseudonym tied to your posts).
The chaos lowers the quality of the average thread, but increases the quality of the good ones.

>They require credit and recognition.
Basically this

You don't have to explain Reddit usernames. I'd bet that 90% of the people here also post on Reddit.

Captain four head and the pink tie lovers.

>fast and furious
>pen and phone

wut

meh you never know, I was posting here for a good 3 years before I ever went to a reddit board.

I suppose you could be right. There seems like a lot of crossover. I posted here, took a 10 year internet break, found reddit when I was looking to fix something around my house, eventually came back here. It's rare I go to reddit anymore now, unless I need help with a project.

I tried Reddit once a few years ago it was fucking retarded filled with endless faux intellectuals that either down vote or spend endless time flaunting their faux intellectual superiority while circle jerking each other
>literally encountered more intellectualism from trolls telling me to an hero here

tack on "Obama" and google
learn yourself up some
God know you aren't being taught anything in school worth learning.

I don't know, I was having a plumbing problem and some guy helped me figure it out. I don't go there for politics.

how do they get so much blood all over the place? it's like watching muslim women eat with that trash bag over their heads.

Been on both too long, wanted to jump in to defend Reddit and troll you fags, but can't. Reddit used to be like a tape delayed chan with the gore and profanity stripped out. Civilized.

(Paragraph)

Now I gotta come here to get the straight dope. That means I'm getting to much exposure, and I can see it having an effect on me.
////////////////// autism trap spacing \\\\\\\\\\\
Fuck the commie fags at Reddit for making me spend too much time here. Fuck /polfags for what you are doing to my mind.

Moot and the butthole brigade

not tapping the limitless potential of autists on /diy user what are you doing?

This is the better place user.
Unless you need to fix a toilet.

>there are no girls on the internet
When the only thing you got going for you is the current argument you are making it cuts out a lot of bullshit.

Easy answer.

Reddit has social desirability built into it. You can earn validation from upvoting and controlling narratives.

Sup Forums is almost the opposite of that, which is why many of us prefer it.

I don't know why I didn't think of that. I'll try /diy/ next time. That's also the other advantage of reddit when it comes to shit like that. I can search and I'm sure someone has had the same issue/conversation/solution in the past. Avoids the whole post-then-wait cycle.

fast and furious was when they basically gave a shitload of weapons to the mexican drug cartels and then lost track of them. afterwards they all tried shifting the blame on someone else and the attorney general eric holder cried racism when he get slammed for not answering the questions during the congressional hearings. it was really pathetic actually.

pen and phone was a quote from obama. "i've got a pen and i've got a phone." in other words he abused executive orders, bullied and threatened people in washington, and then bragged about it like a typical nog.

kekkers

Cause most people don't need to hide in a cloak of anonymity to say their opinion, not all people want to be edgelords or degenerates.

>lost track of them until a border patrol agent was killed by one.
Don't forget that key point

I'm guilty of doing this before as well

It's true, my normie friend thought /r/Sup Forums was funny and was texting me asking how to get an account and post on here.

Sort by controversial, it is a vast improvement.

The issue is that everything is displayed as a tree of replies rather than chronological order so the discussion can never be longer than 4-5 posts.

Faggots only read the top two or three posts and two or three replies for each. It is a content restriction.

It's probably a good thing for people with gold fish tier attention spans

nice meme, I prefer slavic fingers. Or complaining that a girl's knees are too pointy.

A little blood goes a long way and the seal had several pints.

Its a wild animal, it probably was biting and thrashing to tear off a piece to swallow.

...

> 6 captchas
try 8. google fucking hates me I swear.

I wish I had saved more posts from /new/. It was a magical time

The only parts of reddit that are bigger than Sup Forums are the parts where they post dumb memes. The actual discussion subreddits like politics/news are much smaller than us.

Is this bait?

mate, most of Sup Forums is random discussion too. Did you take a look at the huge list of boards at the top and bottom of your screen?

use legacy

stop telling people faggot
