What always mystified me was how he kept his uniform from completely disintegrating over the decades, living in the jungle. i don't know if any of you have spent much time in the field, but gear corrodes and wears out pretty fast. Even when you find the oldskool gear that was built to last longer, it still takes a beating in hard environs and falls apart. Somehow, this guy figured out how to keep his uniform in one piece... seems like he might also have been a bit mentally ill, since he could have figured out the war was over without being told. I think he just wanted to keep fighting.
