Listen men, if you're a lifting noob and you want to actually get strong, then start with a beginner lifting program like StrongLifts 5x5 or something similar - and stick to the plan. Do that for a few months and then try out a more advanced program. Don't try to create your own lifting routine.

Heavy squats, deadlifts, bench press, and other compund lifts are what make you strong.
