Thanks for reminding me about Caspian's video on this. It does a great job in explaining the real fucking problems with reconstructing Syria. People can lionize all day about reclaiming and "Based Assad" but it's going to take a miracle of epic proportion to rebuild this clusterfuck.
Whatever the original reasons for the conflict, grudges just don't disappear overnight and there will still be plenty of lingering animosity for the near future I would imagine.
