Almost all Americans are fat, overweight, and suffering. My dad died a few months ago of a heart attack (he was in good physical exercising shape too, but ate very very poorly). My mom has high blood pressure and I'm 20 pounds overweight

I'm realizing how much of a spell I was under, propaganda, culture, and addictive substances in the food had me hooked. I'm breaking the conditioning and unironically going vegan, after years of shitting on them. I've had to swallow my ego pretty badly, but the difference in my mental capacity and physical energy levels is staggering. I recommend everyone trying this out, plenty of good material on the internet. I still can't stand the self righteous vegans who are so socially inept, but I can understand why this is a far more nutritious choice for myself.

been vegan for a year now, it was a great move I'm never going back. It's hard to get b12, iron, and zinc. Take a b12 supplement every day and eat a lot of hemp seeds, or at least make sure you get zinc and iron. Took a little bit for me to adjust, but fat started melting and I didn't lose much muscle.

Fruits with sugar are not the same as refined sugar. The body still has to break down the food which contains the sugar and it releases much slower into the blood stream. Whereas refined sugar enters the bloodstream pretty much at the gums

Yes, I have tried quite a number of diets, including dropping 50 pounds (210 to 160) in 3 months time following Tim Ferris's slow carb diet mixed with a ton of cold immersion.

The point of the diet is not to lose weight on my end, as I could easily do it in other ways, but to reduce my cholesterol levels and get my potential risk for heart disease in check. Also, I don't really think humans were designed to eat so much meat.

I've been on a vegan diet for a month now. The changes I've seen is that I don't feel the need to jack off like an animal. This is a benefit for me because I can use that time towards something productive instead of searching for porn. My erectile dysfunction has improved MASSIVELY. Getting rock hard boners now. Also, I've noticed that I'm more in control of my adrenaline whether it's driving, playing vidya, or shitposting on here. Really helps. Been eating beans, vegetables, and fruit and now I don't sleep for more than 3 hours a day. It's crazy.

Our closest genetic relatives the chimpanzees eat a diet of 75% fruit, and mostly green leafy vegetables afterwards. The caloric density of meat is pretty low in regards to it's nutrition. All the vegans I know have normal b12 levels, and usually hear from the doctors that they have the best blood work on any of their patients. I think the belief that you need to only ingest all the nutrients your body needs is quite flawed.

I've been lifting on a vegan diet for 6 months and it actually isn't that different. I think being vegan makes it easier to think about every little piece of food you are putting into your body, it has helped me with my macros more than it's messed with them. No sign of increased estrogen production, I have a check up next week.
